109. Talk

"Alright, I get the basics and very well understand the whole thing but let me talk to Dr Lawson for a while." King nodded his head and then looked at Wendy.

"Sure." Howard nodded his head and very tacitly got away from the two of them.

King looked at Wendy and laid out an enchantment around the two of them. So that no one can hear what they are saying.

"Miss Mar-vell, one of the Kree scientist. Currently residing on Midgard and taking on the persona of Wendy Lawson. Working with the United States Air Force to make a light speed engine for the Skrulls." King put down the file in his hand and looked at the dumbfounded Wendy with a smile.

'This feels so cool. I always wanted to do this.' King was cheering in his mind though.

"Who are you?" Wendy squinted her eyes and looked at King vigilantly.

"Hmm, like you, I am also living on Midgard at the moment but I never changed my name. My full name is King Featherwine Yggdrasil." King looked at her with a smile and said lightly.

"You mean, you are the crown prince of Alfheim?" Wendy's voice was a bit astonished when she said this.

"Oh, quite the surprise to know that you actually know of my name." King lifted his eyebrows in an impressed way and said.

"Yeah, we keep a record of some of the not to mess with people in the universe and your number is quite high up there on the list." Wendy said and shrugged her shoulders.

"I'm flattered to know that my name still resounds in the universe." King smiled and said with a very flattered smile on bis face.

"I don mind you staying here and will also help you in your cause. Since it is a noble thing for you to wish safety for the Skrulls.

But keep one thing in mind. I don't like Krees and that will not change. I have not destroyed them and that is me being lenient. So if I do something extreme to them then I will not stop even if you try." King finished speaking here lightly and then walked away from her while Wendy in deep thought.

"Howard, the light speed engine will take a lot to build. Are you sure about this considering your habits?" King walked over to Howard and said with a teasing smile.

"Hahaha, don't worry. For this project, I will give it my own. Nothing will stop me on this one." Howard laughed and waved his hand to dispel King's words.

"Who are the main drivers of your so called light speed plane." King asked and looked at the antique computer in front of him.

"Here, these two ladies are the first pilots that we have selected." Howard projected the pictures of two women in the computer screen.

"Their records are impressive and we have done an in depth evaluation on them. There will be no problem in letting them handle the driving." Howard said and King also nodded his head faintly.

"Even if I don trust you with your promises but I still can you give you this much credit." King fired a jab out of nowhere and Howard froze for a second.

"Like you are any better. I asked you to give me another phone and it hasn't arrived even after a year." Howard went on a rant like his tail was stepped on.

"Why do you even need another phone?" King whined and asked because he didn't have a come back to this. It was his fault exactly.

"The little guy is after my ass. He wants to study it. He even tried to open my phone by himself once. You have to do this favour for me." Howard remembered the situation and he whined and complained uncontrollably.

"You can't even handle your own kid man. What kind of respectable father are you?" King looked at him like looking at a trash and said arrogantly but you could tell the the joking tone in his voice.

"Stop telling me that. You can only say that when you have the guts to even have a child with your girls." Howard shot back mercilessly and destroyed King.

"Hmmm, I am still not as pathetic as you." King hummed and only gave this comeback and looked away from him.

"Here, I brought the phone with me." Then he took out a phone from his pocket and handed it Howard.

"Thanks, I am saved." Howard gave a sigh of relief and looked at the phone like a heavenly treasure.

"You are really scared of Tony huh." King looked at him like he was crazy and asked.

"It's just that he looks so cute when tinkering with things that I can't bare to prevent him from doing it." Howard looked reminiscent when he said this.

"I'll come around today to see Tony as well." King felt like going there and taking some pictures of Tony to tease him in the future.

"Sure then let's go now." Howard started to close the computer and pack up everything quickly as soon as he said this.

King also helped him pack everything up quickly and they exited the facility together after some procedures and greetings to others.

King started his car and followed behind Howard and made his way over to Stark mansion together.

They arrived at the mansion and the doors were opened by the guards outside the estate quickly and the cars drove in.

"Let's go and see the little guy." Howard had a huge smile on his face and he looked excited like he couldn't wait to go and meet Tony.

"How long has it been since you went back home?" King looked at his huge smile and asked questioningly.

"Been a week I guess." Howard answered with a little thought. He wasn't sure how long though.

"You leave me speechless. I don't know how Maria copes with you. I know you didn't even tell her about your delay." King shook his head and just followed him in speechlessly.

"Maria, I am Back!" Howard yelled and they both saw Maria just sitting on the couch with a smile and looking at the TV in front of her.
