Chapter 17 - Diary of Rune Sorcerer

"Let's eat" Currently Isaac, Levis, and Allisa three were sitting in Levis's room and enjoying the meat of evolved level 17 moon eagle.

Isaac still remembers the stunned look on Levis and Allisa's faces when Isaac took out the 5 meters big eagle. Both brother and sister have never seen anything like this before. The eagle was just too big, so Isaac told Levis to only butcher a part of the moon eagle. Isaac kept the rest in his inventory, where time doesn't flow, meaning even if Isaac kept the meat in his inventory for years, the meat wouldn't rot.

Sitting on the right side of Levis, Allisa drank the soup made from mutant eagle's meat. As soon as the soup reached down her throat, Allisa suddenly felt her entire body getting warm.

[Ding! Stamina [3+], Health [2+], Mana [4+], Agility [1+]

Allisa who was feeling sick and felt as if something very heavy was pressuring her chest every single second, suddenly felt all those sufferings disappear. Allisa no longer felt cold or sick. She definitely felt better than before, though she could tell that she was not completely healed.

"Brother?"

Levis and Isaac stopped eating for a moment and looked at Allisa who for some reason who very energetic and happy.

"After drinking this soup, my stats have increased. My stats have been increased by 10 points. Now I feel much better than before. I don't feel any pain in my chest either."

"That's great. I also drank the mutant beast soup but I did not get any stats."

Allisa was quick to notice the difference. "It might be because your level is very high. The last time, I check your level was 19. Maybe because I am still level 1, eating high mutant beast meat soup has given me some stats points."

"I think what Allisa is telling is true. But I have to admit, this mutant beast meat is one of the best meat I have ever eaten." Levis and Allisa nodded in agreement.

Levis didn't have any rice at their home, so Isaac told him to just make some soup and BBQ some mutant beast meat. Even without proper seasoning, Isaac has to admit the meat tasted very good. The quality of the meat was way better than the meat that Isaac used to eat in the palace. Even though Isaac and Levis didn't receive any stats points, Isaac confirmed from the system that eating high-level mutant beast meat nourishes that body.

Just as Isaac and others finished eating, Allisa who no longer felt as weak as before volunteered to wash the dishes.

Seeing that everything had completed darkened, Isaac realized that it was already evening. The sun has gone down. Because of the constant non-stop rain, it was hard to tell the exact time.

"The sky is showing no signs of clearing up. It looks like this rain will continue at least for the next few days."

But even in the darkness, Isaac had no problem with his vision. Isaac was able to see everything clearly under 50 meters radius.

"Here take this" Isaac caught the old, dirty book that Levis threw at him. The moment Isaac saw the cover page of the book, his entire body trembled in excitement. Isaac never thought Levis go something so precious to Isaac.

"I found this book while I was working at the mines. I found the book hidden in a box. I have a feeling that this book has something very important recorded in it."

"I and my sister have tried to understand the language of this book but we end up failing. So I am giving this book to you for helping me and my sister."

Meanwhile, Isaac was hearing something else.

[Ding! The host has found the dairy of the previous Rune Sorcerer. Because of the knowledge that the Host previously had on runes, the system has found the Host worthy of selecting one of the following classes.

1) Rune Master (Normal class)

2) Rune Sorcerer (Rare class)

3) Rune King (Mythical class)]

Seeing the options, Isaac's heart started beating faster. Each cell in his body was screaming and vibrating in excitement. Isaac was unable to contain his excitement. Back in the days, Isaac had taken a few classes on Runes and managed to learn at least some of the basics. Who would have thought that his boring rune classes would really help Isaac?

Levis noticed that Isaac was trembling as a wild grin appeared on Isaac's face.

"Isaac?" For a moment Levis looked confused and felt worried.

"I am fine." Isaac suppressed his excitement. It was then Isaac's eyes turned extremely cold. Just looking at Isaac's eyes, Levis felt his very soul tremble in fear. Unconsciously, Levis's legs started trembling and he felt his knees go weak. Levis felt as if he was standing in front of a Mighty King.

"I don't care if you don't want to follow me. But if you dare to tell another soul about my plan then I won't t hesitate even for a second to kill your sister and then kill you."

Levis repeatedly nodded his head. There was no way, Levis was going to sell Isaac after what he did for his sister. Also, who would want to provoke this monster?

The coldness in Isaac's eyes dimmed making Levis sigh in relief. Levis definitely didn't want to see that cold, murderous face of Isaac again. "Good. I will return tomorrow to take you and your sister to the shelter."

Before Levis could ask any further questions, Isaac disappeared into the dark rainy night. After leaving Levis's house, Isaac put the book in the inventory as he didn't wish to get the book wet in the rain.

When Isaac was in darkness, his innate skill of Night vision would activate, allowing Isaac to see everything within 50 meters distance.

Not caring about the rain that again soaked his entire body wet, Isaac didn't return to the shelter. He instead found an empty house that was 3 km away from the shelter.

After entering the house, Isaac first made sure to lock all the doors, and windows and made sure to check every inch of the house to make sure no zombies stayed in the house. If any zombies were in the house, then there is a possibility that Isaac might get attacked when he was sleeping.

The main reason why Isaac didn't return to the shelter was because of the dairy of Rune Sorcerer.

Isaac sat on the floor which was covered with thick blue pieces of clothes. Isaac first removed the wet clothes that he has been wearing ever since the apocalypse started. From his inventory, Isaac took out his pajamas and wore them which made him feel very comfortable. These white pajamas were gifted by his mother.

Isaac then opened the system, after taking a deep breath Isaac selected 'Rune King' as his third class.

[Ding! The host has selected Rune King (Mythical class) as his third class. The host cannot obtain more classes until the host levels up all three of his classes above level 25.]

Isaac started gritting his teeth feeling the sudden pain in his head. Isaac could feel countless information was being poured into his mind. Isaac nearly wanted to scream because of the main he was feeling, but he didn't because of the zombies. Isaac bit his lips so hard that his lips started to bleed.

After about 5 minutes, the pain that Isaac was experiencing started to fade away. Feeling the pain in his head decreasing, Isaac got up with difficulty. At his point, his entire body has been soaked with sweat. Isaac felt as if he was bought back from the end point of death.

While panting heavily, Isaac got up and rested his back against the wall. After another 1 minute of resting, Isaac opened the system log and read all the new messages.

Huff! Huff!

"I gained so many new skills and even my mana increased by [40+]. Now my mana has reached [86+]. I guess all this pain and suffering was worth it."

Isaac smiled while he started reading the description of his new skills.
