Chapter 18 The Sun Temple.

Early in the morning, Varun and his family were ready to go visit the Sun Temple. After eating their breakfast and all, they took a cart to the core part of the city where the Sun Temple exists.

The core part of the city had a different vibe than the outer and inner parts. The streets were more wide and were very clean. There were flower gardens on both sides of the road. The buildings and the mansions were very fewer than the inner part here but they each covered a humongous area to themselves. It can be said that one mansion of a Noble here covered the area of more than thirty kilometer of surrounding in the form of garden or lawn where their own soldiers were guarding.

The people living in the core area of the city are obviously very rich merchants, Nobles and even the Royal palace of the Royal Family is situated here so naturally it would be more advanced and more secured. The guards stationed at core area are more ten times as in inner areas.

Usually, carts could not be found much in core areas because most Nobles prefer to travel in modern 'Laviators' and very less people used carts and wagons here. Due to the occasion of awakening ceremony, carts from the inner area were allowed to go inside core area today hence the security was also very tight here.

Even drivers and passengers of the vehicle had to show their identity to get inside the core area. Varun and everyone present in the vehicles showed their identities and went inside.

Varun looked outside and found many Laviators were flying not much high in the sky. Let's just say some hundred feet above the ground. They were also moving in the direction of the Temple.

There is no any concept of petrol or diesel in Lovinia planet then how are these these things working? The modern Laviators had a different type of engine set in them which takes energy from the spirit stones and move it towards the piston. The piston rotates very fast and move the propellers which are connected to it. The propellers push the air downward by creating a pressure difference and air lifts the remaining body. This machine is the exact copy of the flying drone machines whose controls are in the hands of the driver.

The vehicles arrived at the foot of a hill. The Sun Temple situated at the top of the hill. The height of the hill was not very much. Just after climbing a few hundred meters, one can reach the top.

Horus helped everyone to come out of the vehicle. They all looked at the top of the hill where a giant Temple was shining in golden colour.

''That is the Sun Temple. You know, there is a saying that that when the Sun Temple was established one hundred centuries ago, the priests of the temple held a ritual to call upon the Sun God and get his grace on the Temple and they were successful in their ritual. The Sun God really blessed the Temple with his blessings. It is also said that when sun rises, the first rays of the sun always falls on the Sun Temple. Such a grand miracle, right?'' Horus said.

'Huh. What miracle? These people live in a world where they can do every supernatural things with their powers like splitting the sea waves, crushing a mountain etc which we could only fantasize in our world and write stories about it, and they still find miracles as something extraordinary.' Varun thought.

Before coming to this world, Varun was an atheist(non believer in god) on Earth. He never believed in something like Gods and miracles.

Actually he was also very surprised when he arrived first time in Heaven and met God Serena. All his confidence about Gods being not real were shattered then and there. Now, Varun believed in Gods but he is still not a theist(believer in god).

''Have any otherworlder ever told you before that there is also a Sun Temple like that on the Earth too? I mean a smaller version of this Temple in located in India with the same rumour about first sunlight falling on it there.'' Varun asked to both Amber and Horus about it.

''Yes, they had mentioned it before. That is the more reason to believe in the Sun God who had spread his blessings in entire universe.'' Amber said.

''So mom and dad, are you both the followers of Sun God?''

''Yes. What's more? Even this whole kingdom has mostly the followers of Sun God.'' Amber said.

''Huh? Why is that? Is there some particular reason?'' Varun asked.

''Yes. There is a reason. The Sun Temple here is the protection against any threats towards us humans. This whole kingdom is alive due to this Sun Temple. And even your mother is alive only because of the Sun Temple. This is all the grace of our Sun God.'' This time Horus said.

Varun suddenly looked at his status tab and sighed, ''Sun God, huh?''

Weapons were totally prohibited inside the Temple. If someone was found with any type of weapon inside the Temple, they are prone to execution. All weapons and even shoes and slippers should be kept either outside the Temple or into their dimensional rings.

You can call it a miracle that after entering the Temple, all kinds of magic artifacts, magic weapons, and space rings lose their functions temporarily and become unusable.

The people of this Kingdom are fanatics of the Sun God because the Sun Temple was also the place where people took refugee in the Great War. The Sun Temple saved thousands of people from the onslaughts of Hell beings.

Twenty years ago, there was a breach in security and more than a hundred Hell beings entered inside the Luser Kingdom's capital. The King was outside the capital at that time. Only the soldiers were not enough to hold all the Hell beings back on their own and protect the citizens both at the same time. All the people decided to take refugee inside the Sun Temple.

Due to the grace of the Sun God, not a single Hell being was able to even come closer to the Temple. When the situation became less chaotic and soldiers killed all the Hell beings, people were rescued. At that time, Amber was still a fourteen years old child and did not awaken. She took refugee inside the Sun Temple with the others. She was roaming outside of her household when the Hell beings attacked. That was also the time when Horus lost his family in the village and later adopted as a servant by Amber's father.

When they arrived the Temple, they were amazed by its hugeness. The Temple covered the entirety of upper part of the hill. The Temple was humongous from inside and also outside. It was shining in golden colour under the direct rays of the Sun. It was a wonder of the world(not literally).

Just the area inside the auditorium of the Temple was no less than four football fields combined. More than a million people can sit comfortably inside the auditorium. There were many people who came from inner and outer parts of the city to witness the newcomer otherworlders. The people from core areas were provided special seats to watch the show.

There were priests in the temple in yellow clothing who were managing all the works. These priests were not your so typical priests, any strong person could feel their Auras which were more fiercer than even city guards stationed outside. They were followers, worshippers and even protectors of the Temple.

The ceremony will be held in the presence of the King, highest ranked Nobles and the Head Priest of the Temple. The Head Priest will be responsible for conducting the awakening ceremony.

There was huge crystal ball kept in the middle of the stage. The crystal ball was the status window/ supporter of the Temple. It will show all the information regarding the Gift of the person who is going to be tested without concealing anything.

After some time, the announcement was made as the King made his entry and set his foot on the stage. He came from a tunnel path only meant for special guests. There were only two guards around him which was not strange. After all, the King was an entity who was already on top of the world and he was in the Sun Temple, so he would not need much security.

The King was adorned in red and white attire. There was an armour of gold on his chest. Even the King was not allowed to bring a weapon inside the Temple.

The King, Lucien Von Luser was a man of pride. His face showed confidence and vigor. He had black hair, handsome looks and was tall. People would expect that he would have at least more than a hundred wives with so much good features about him but no.

King Lucien had only one wife who was the queen of the kingdom. She was said to be the most beautiful woman in the whole kingdom. People were expecting to have a look at their queen once in the ceremony. Even though they were excited to see her but became totally disappointed by their King because he came alone not with his queen.
