finally back

A yellow car with the sign, TAXI, on top stopped in front of a huge bar gate.

Alex stepped out of the car, he looked at the huge gate briefly before turning back to the driver.

"How much is it sir?" Alex asked, although he didn't have any money on him, he could just ask the driver to wait while he went inside to get some from his parents.

The man gave a slight smile and said "actually, I don't need you to pay, I just want a favor from you" the man said straight up, not playing with words, and hit the nail on the head.

Alex was confused and at the same time became suspicious of the so-called driver. Why would a random person ask him for a favor??

"Who are you? were you following me around?" Alex asked with a sharp gaze, he wanted to hit himself in the head for asking such a stupid question, how on Earth would an ordinary man follow him? he would have certainly detected him, or even still ikeris would surlily spot him, but well, he had already asked so no need worrying about it.

Feeling Alex's suspicious towards him, the driver hurriedly explained while waving his hands"no, no, no, you must have misunderstood me, young man, it was an  honest coincidence that I met you today, just that there had been much news about the young master of the jeaga family going missing and the jeaga family had promised to reward whoever could find their child

So I just wanted to ask if you could help me get this chance, I swear I have no vile intentions"

With just a glance Alex could tell that the guy was telling him the truth, which made him even more confused. His family had gone to such lengths just to find him? Then why didn't he sense anyone in the entire forest? or did the school hide the location of his disappearance from even his parents? or maybe he had gone too deep and the people had left after just a day's search, after all, he was unconscious in that lake for a good three days.

"So what favor do you wish to ask for?" Alex asked after putting those thoughts out of his head, he was back now so he didn't have to care, he also now understood why this guy wanted to grab this opportunity, well since he didn't have money to pay he could just as well help him with this, only if his request is reasonable though.

The guy suddenly looked conflicted, like he was debating whether or not he should tell Alex. Alex noticed this change in his expression instantly and could somehow understand the reason behind it, so he wanted to reassure the guy.

"Don't look so conflicted, you can tell me, if I am not capable of fulfilling your request, I would just ask my parents for help" Alex's words made the guy calm down and he finally decided to speak up.

"I...I...I want my son to be admitted into the light wings college" the man said while looking at Alex with eyes full of expectancy.

Alex quickly roamed through his new gotten memories and soon found what he was looking for, it turned out that light wings college was the college where he studied.

Alex remained indifferent, even though he knew he did not have the authority to admit someone into the college, he couldn't say it to the man's hopefully face, that would be too brutal.

"Is that all? how about you go bring him over, so some matters could be sorted out" Alex told the man, his last bet was his dad, he was planning on making his dad get this driver's son into the college, though he didn't know if his dad would agree or not, he just had to give it a try.

"Thanks very much, I will be back soon, thank you," the man said so happy that his face was beaming (with smiles), he zoomed off and Alex almost thought that he was a hijacker that was being chased.

Alex watched as the car soon left his sight into the distance, he shook his head, hoping his dad wouldn't disappoint.

Alex turned back to the gate and was once again marveled by its sight, he could partially see through the spaces between the metal bars and he had to admit that the little part he was seeing right now was simply breathtaking.

Although he had seen memories of it, seeing it up close with his own eyes gave it some kind of indescribable beauty.

Alex walked steadily towards the gate and all the guards instantly recognized him.

"Ah.. young master, you are finally back, your parents have been so worried, they have even laid several complaints to the police since your report of going missing was sent by your school, where did you go?" A guard immediately started questioning Alex, not letting him move further.

It was as if he was against Alex entering the compound, Alex could clearly hear the disdain and mockery from the guard even when his words seemed to be showing concern.

"What do you think you are doing? Let the young master pass this instance!" a loud voice rang from within the compound as another guard soon appeared at the gate.

Alex remembered this guard from his new memories, this guard was the head guard of his family, August, yeah, that's his name, and he was the only one who treated Alex as the real young master of the yeaga family, the rest of the guards just avoided him in most cases.

The guard clicked his tongue in annoyance before stepping aside for Alex to pass, though he was reluctant to do so since it was evidently showing on his face.

"Young master please follow me," August said and gestured for me to follow him.

"Sorry if I bothered you guys, I got lost in the forest and was brought back by someone" Alex immediately said after catching up with August, he couldn't possibly tell them about his death, system, and other stuff right? so he optioned to say half of what happened.

"No worries then, I'm just glad you are okay, let's go in your mom has been crying since you were announced missing, she refused to come out of her room" August through a side glance at Alex, he felt something was off with Alex's story but didn't ask.

Alex's heart suddenly skipped a beat when the word mom, was said by August, he never really had the chance to spend any time with his mother in his old world and he had no experience when it came to dealing with mothers.

Right now, he was feeling slightly uncomfortable, he didn't know what he should do or how he should approach her.

"Ok, so what about dad?" Alex suppressed his uncomfortable feeling since he couldn't put the thoughts away, so he wanted to distract himself.

"He is still at the station, I will give him a call soon to inform him of your arrival," August said calmly.

They both had just moved a little from the gate when the remaining guards suddenly started to whisper between themselves.

"He doesn't look like someone who got lost in a forest to me"

" I guess he deliberately hides just to cause panic"

" Just showing off he's from a big family, as useless as always"

Of course, all their whispers didn't escape Alex's ear he showed no reaction at all.

According to his new memories, none of the guards apart from August liked him and he honestly didn't care whether they liked him or not.
