Date with Saki pt 1

*POV*Saki*Day Before Date*

After school, Mama took me out to get new clothes and get a makeover. We never did things like this before and it was such a fresh and new experience for me.

Mama had me try on all sorts of clothes and embarrassed me each time by saying whether or not Okino will like them. Some of those clothes... were a little too much for me!

We also went and both of us got our hair and nails taken care of by professionals. Another thing I've never experienced but I really enjoyed the care they gave us. It was so relaxing!

Finally Mama took me to get contact lenses and I gotta say they were uncomfortable at first but after seeing myself in the mirror, I looked like a whole new person!

We have always been too poor to afford luxuries like this. I had planned to use the allowance I had saved up to do this before high school, but this time Mama said that Okino gave her money to help us out.

I couldn't help but feel sweet about it. But I was also a little confused. Am I worth all this? I just keep asking 'Why me?' or 'Is this really happening, or am I going to wake up and this was all a dream?'

But at the same time it also made me feel like my life has hope... Something I never really felt before...

For years, I sometimes have had nightmares where my life is like a black hole I couldn't escape from. I see blank faces of people who use and hurt me, and no one ever shows up to save me. The nightmares are part of the reason I never tried to be social with others.

Since the other day when I found out about this engagement, I haven't had any bad dreams. And everyday I've been filled with hope for the next day.

I don't know if I would be a good wife to Okino. But I want to at least try and see what happens! To pay him back for these good feelings he has given me.

Tomorrow, I'll find out if this is meant to be or not! I... really hope it is...

*POV*End*Next Day Date*

I arrived at Saki's house in style. I pulled up in a Nissan 370Z with metallic black paint and a neon green led underglow. I took it from one of those old bastards. And if you're wondering if I'm legally allowed to drive then the answer is... of course not. But who's going to stop me? The hentai police?

Pssshht! As long as you pay those fuckers money then everything goes away.

Anyway, I walked into Saki's home and had a conversation with the In-Laws while Saki finished getting ready. She was probably nervous. She makes a really cute face when she is... Ah... I want to see it now.

After a few minutes of waiting Saki finally came down the stairs. It was like that movie I saw in my previous life where the nerdy girl gets a makeover and then comes down looking fine as hell when the captain of the football team waits for her. And he is stunned by her appearance.

Ya... It sounds corny but fuck! Saying I was stunned would be accurate. Her hair was no longer messy but was straightened and let loose hanging down her slender back. Her glasses were not on her face and her beautiful clear blue eyes could be seen. She had a pair of golden heart earings dangling from her cute little ears.

She wore a white camisole with a black cardigan open in the front and a black pleated skirt. She wore black stockings on her long slender legs. But God damn those thighs! Down boy! I said down!

I was mesmerized. And I had trouble making my little brother meditate and relax.

"You're beautiful, Saki!" Her mother ran up to her as she got to the bottom of the stairs. "What do you think, Okino-kun? Isn't she pretty?"

"Yeah, my heart almost can't take it... You're truly beautiful Saki. But you always were." I gave my heartfelt opinion with a genuine smile.

"T-Thanks Okino-kun..." Her face was a bright red like a tomato and she fidgeted nervously. She kept stealing glances at me. No doubt because of my increased handsomeness.

"Shall we go?" I offered her my hand and she nervously grabbed it with her slender hand.

She was shocked to see the car I had arrived in, and she looked around in amazement once we got inside. Its pretty clear she has never been in a sportscar before.

I didn't take us that far. I had rented out an arcade for us to start at. I remembered from the manga that she had liked playing games. I thought this would be a good place.

"An... arcade?"

"Yup! What you don't like arcades?" I teased.

"W-Wait! No, I do!" She's so cute when she gets flustered...

"Well let's go! I'll kick your butt in any game here!" I said as I walked in.

She cracked a smile before following me inside.

"Ah! That's cheating Saki! Saving that shell and using it right as I'm about to cross the finish line!" I complained after she unceremoniously murdered me and then won the race.

"Hehe, You said you would kick my butt, Okino. What happened?" She gave me a smug smile. She's actually really fun once she's out of her shell.

And then...

"It's so cute! I love it!" She hugged the stuffed tanuki I won in the claw game. Of course, I secretly used Cross Tail to make sure I won...

"Glad you like it."

We had fun at the arcade. I saw sides of Saki I hadn't yet seen. She still had her childish innocence but at the same time I could see she had a lot of self-loathing. It was like seeing a flickering light bulb. One moment she shined bright and the next her light would dim.

I understood why, since I read her story. But I still don't like it.

After leaving the arcade, I took her to eat street food at a popular place nearby. Seeing her trying to hide her appetite from me made me chuckle. Which caused her cheek to inflate with a pout.

"Mou! Be nice, Okino-kun!"

"Sorry, sorry. But who told you to be so cute?"

"I'm not cute... Don't tease me..." She was still pouting. Ah! I'm might just...

I pulled her into a hug. I didn't let my hands be naughty but just held her close to me. I then whispered to her.

"Saki... You are not just cute. You're beautiful, adorable, funny, kind and have so many other wonderful qualities... Why do you hate yourself?"
