Imprisoned by the CEO

“You will have to marry me and bear me a child.”  “What the fuck?!” Logic flew out of the window when Grace heard him say that. “Excuse me, what did you just say?”  Maybe, she was the one who had heard him wrong. It could have been anything except marrying him and giving him a child.  “You heard me,” Christian tsked, “but I’ll repeat it. Marry me and have my child.”  Her mouth opened and gaped at me. In her mind, she was trying to make sense about what was going on. How in the world had it come to be? What in the world could make the situation come to this?!  “No?” Grace replied, but then realized that the word was not firm enough. “No.” she said again. Christian frowned, and it seemed so innocent like he had not asked her the most unbelievable thing. “Why not? I thought you wanted to help me. You offered.”  “I offered my help, my brain, my support not my,” she hesitated, “stomach!”  What was the word for it? “Womb,” he provided.  “Yes!” She slapped her hand on the table. “You don’t get my womb!”   “I don’t?” He challenged.  “No!”  “What if helping me out means Lorelai coming out of a coma?”  Grace felt her heart drop. “What?”  Christian nodded. “What if helping me out, agreeing to what you have to do for me, means bringing your grandmother out of the, that she is in?”  ******** Grace  was one strong girl and with the people she put her trust in, that was only a small number, she knew she could conquer the world, or at least she thought to herself.  When her best friend proposed a deal that could change their lives, she made a decision that was going to be mutually beneficial to both of them.  But one renovation led to many and everything has been just a game, a manipulation from him. Everything was full of deceit, lies, planning and plotting against her. Every single thing, right down the fact that only he had been her friend…  Everything was a lie and she had been living it, willingly.  Tropes; Friends to lovers, office romance, best friends, frenemies, marriage of convenience, possessive villainous and morally gray heroes!

The morning after - III

"What's going on?" She whimpered, fear was taking over even though she knew that he was the father of a friend and like a father figure to her.

"I have to show you this before our next conversation. We are going back to my estate now."

She stated the man with wide eyes now truly filled with fear upto the brim. She felt the car take around and once again they were back onto the road to the estate.

"Is this all because of something that happened last night?" Grace added in a little and small voice. She was no longer sure on what to do or what was going on.

He nodded and then turned to look at her. "I think you have an idea about what happened last night. I am not going to say anything else for now."

Her mouth dried up. What did that mean? What was that supposed to mean?

The fingerprints and bruises that were on her arms and neck was supposed to say something but she was ignoring it by now. She was going to keep ignoring it but what Adrian said was pushing her into the other direction which meant that she had to acknowledge it. With the worst actually happened last night?

She is slightly pushed her thighs against each other and rubbed them. There was nothing. There was no pain. And she knew that she was supposed to feel something if anything happened last.

She was on the verge of crying.

The car rolls to stop in front of the estate and cars and Carson opened the door for his master. The driver took to her.

"My office," he told her and she followed. Har ise not so discreetly move over the dining table and the living room area as she was climbing the stairs. Christian was not there. Had he not woken up yet?

He allowed her to enter first and then closed the door behind him. Being in a closed room with Adrian never made her feel antsy but it did now. She feared what was coming.

She gulped and sat on the cahir in front of me. "What's wrong?"

He spoke up immediately, "whatever was wrong and could be dealt by me I have done my share. Now what is left is something that had happened last night but you are unaware of."

She gulped again.

He sighed and she saw a small crack of emotion. "You were drugged last night."

She closed her eyes. "A-and?" She started out waiting for the horrifying news.

"Christian reached there in time." She sighed in relief, her shoulders shagged down, "but he ended up in killing the boy in anger."

Her eyes snapped open. " What?" She spat. " Ki-kill?"

Adrian nodded. "I apologize on the behalf of my son's actions. He should not have left you alone in a club."

"But he killed someone." She whispered. "What about that?" She went back to the topic.

The man shrugged, "accidents happen. There is nothing that we can do about it. The only thing that you are to focus on is your healing. I have selected a good therapist for you."

"No, no," she shook her head, "tell me about Christian. Where is he?"

Grace knew that Christian could get angry and things could spiral out of control quickly. It did not help either that his father was ready to cover up anything and would never let anyone even himself hold his son responsible. For as long as Mrs. Miller was alive she was doing the job of keeping both the men grounded but when she died everything went up to flames with.

"Aboard." He answred again. "Question has gone for his master's and he will be returning once he has graduated. I have sorted out a few options for you too."

"I have the bakery." She told him, a little sad, " a bakey?"

He shook his head, "the bakery and your apartment both are under reconstruction. There was a murder that took place there and I am erasing every evidence of its. Nothing could be traced back to you or to Christian."

" The bakery?" She whispered, now coming in terms of reality. Adrian was demolishing her bakery because there was a murder that his son did. "Please Mr Miller. That is my grandmother's bakery." The old woman has handed her bakery to her granddaughter as she was fighting cancer. Grace had promised to her that by the time her grandmother would come out of the hospital she would have the bakery exactly as her grandmother had given it to her.

Adrain remained emotionless. He merely blinked.

She lowered her eyes. She was not going to show him her tears.

"I have given you a better apartment, one with better security. Everything has been transferred there and if you do not want something, there are people that will take it away immediately."

She sniffed.

"For your job; I am giving you two months with your therapist after that, the therapy along with your new job will continue. I will get back to you with more details about it."

She nodded. "Anything else?" She stood up. Her face was emotionless but it was all too much.

When she did not hear a reply from she turned around and walked to the door.

"Grace," Mr. Miller's voice stopped her from stepping out, "I understand that what happened with you is causing you a lot more problems than you bargained for but not a word to a single soul about this."

The threat was clear. She nodded before the closing the door.
