Jane took me out for breakfast

After he took me to the room, I lay down on the bed. I was tired so I didn't even realize that I fell asleep without eating anything.

Next Morning,

I opened my eyes and saw the ceiling. I turned to the right and saw a man. Then, I turned to the left and saw another man.

Then, I turned back to the ceiling and closed my eyes.

'Either wake up alone or with the girls.'

I closed my eyes and fell asleep. It seems my fatigue wasn't completely gone. I slept for another two hours and finally woke up alone in bed.

After that, I found no one inside the room and decided to find a bathroom. It was quite close to the room. There, I found a small basket with a towel, underwear packed inside a plastic, a t-shirt, and pants.

'Thank god, they didn't give me used underwear.'

After finishing my morning routine, I came out of the bathroom wearing a new dress. It was a blue t-shirt with black pants. They were track pants.

After that, I walked out of the room and went to the receptionist's desk. When Jane saw me approaching her, she greeted me.

"How was the sleep?"

"Not bad! By the way, where are they?" I asked.

"They have gone out for preparation. Let's go! I will take you for the breakfast then we can visit the Sword King." Jane walked away from the receptionist's desk.

I hurriedly followed her as both of us left the Guild.

"Normal hunters won't receive this kind of treatment from you, would they?" I asked as both of us walked around the Guild.

"No!" Jane answered and then didn't speak a single word. I didn't know how to start a conversation here. Although I could say something, I don't know how to make the conversation progressive.

After we reached the restaurant, she ordered two sets of breakfast and we sat in front of each other.

"What are you planning to do while being taught by the Sword King?" I was surprised when Jane asked me first.

"I plan to finish the normal tasks and slowly make my way up in ranking. By the way, I have been meaning to ask you something. Do you learn using Mana only after Wolf Rank or can you learn before Wolf Rank?" I asked.

Jane sighed and looked at me.

"Ranks do determine the strength but your understanding about ranking is lacking a lot. The reason why there is no difference in strength between Goblin and Wolf is that one helps a hunter to gain strength while another helps the hunter to adjust with other hunters."

"No matter how strong you might get, you would need people to help you at a certain point. These people come with a variety of skills and if you aren't aware of that, then you wouldn't be able to manage yourself and survive."

"Until you reach Wolf Rank, you just train your physical body. Your body needs to be strong enough to bear the power of mana. If your body doesn't get stronger, then mana would just burst your veins and skin."

"You might not die but you won't be able to use the mana for the attack as well. That's why it is very necessary for you to train your body. Unlike others, you will be on the battlefield alone."

I nodded my head and said "Although I had no battle experience before, I learned a lot during my chase. I still don't have a lot of experience but I believe I can fight while putting my life on the line though I won't die."

"Don't be so arrogant!" Jane slammed her fist on the table and shouted.

I was shocked for a moment. Was I arrogant? I don't feel like it. I was telling them the truth.

"Listen! There is something that I want to tell you." Jane took out a small rune stone and placed it on the table. Instantly, a blue barrier emerged out of the stone and covered us.

"In the past, there were seven races, not six. But, because one of the races was almost perfect, they were also very arrogant. With the healing capacity that was even beyond demons and offensive ability that could rival elves, they lived with pride."

"They tried to dominate the other six races in every chance they could get. Originally, it was only a small family. But, due to the inter-family marriage system, their pure bloodline keeps on increasing."

"Slowly, they started taking over territories of all four kingdoms until all six races joined hands together and exterminated them. If we had done that earlier, it would have been much easier."

"But, at that moment, they had more than hundreds of thousands of people, so it was a devastating blow for the other six races. It was a hundred years ago though."

"From then on, we are given an order to kill them on sight. They are vampires. They can live in the shadows if they can't go out. Although we believe we have exterminated them, there should still be some left."

"After all, we can't just go around and search every inch of this continent. Now, do you understand what happens when you get too arrogant?"

So, is the point where I am supposed to nod my head?

I don't understand why she is telling me this but I do find it interesting. I also felt like my powers are quite like vampires, especially my healing abilities and not-so-strong body.

These two factors alone could make me a suspect. But, then, why did the Sword King choose to teach me his martial art? I knew there are lego pieces in front of me, but. I can't put them together.

I wished I had played with lego when I was a kid.

"Alex, are you listening? Alex!" While I was deep in my own thoughts, Jane snapped her finger and tried to wake me from my own thought fantasy.

Yeah, I decided to call this thought fantasy. It is the point whenever I start thinking of something in the middle of the discussion.

"I understand, Jane. By the way, the waiter is waiting outside for the food. Shouldn't you let him come in?" I pointed my finger at the waiter and asked.

This is why I chose to call it thought fantasy. Although I am thinking of something, I am also aware of my surroundings. It's just that I don't care much.

"Oh! Sorry, I didn't notice." Jane removed the barrier and took back the rune. The waiter was very calm. He placed the food on the table and we started eating.

Well, the breakfast was heavy and I supposed when you wake up at nine, you don't get to choose lunch. So, breakfast was everything. There was a rice curry with beautiful chicken fried, lots of vegetables, soup and not just normal soup.

It was miso soup. One of my favorite soups. And, there was a salmon with custard and pickles on the side. Just looking at that made my mouth drool.

I picked up the spoon and scooped rice together with curry. When I put it in my mouth, my eyes widened to the point, veins started popping out.

"So good!"

I didn't realize but I shouted so loud that everyone got startled and looked at me. Of course, because I didn't realize it, I just kept scooping more until nothing remained.

Then, I also tasted the miso soup with an intense aroma and delicious taste. After that, I also tasted pickles and fried chicken. Then, finally, it was the salmon's turn.

Burp!

After I finished the entire meal, I was so full that I didn't know what to say. It was so good that I almost felt like I was in heaven. But, I didn't realize that I had not only finished mine so quickly but also eaten some fried chicken and salmon from Jane's plate.

"You do sure eat a lot," Jane commented after seeing me eat.

"Of course, I eat a lot. Who wouldn't eat something so delicious? You might not feel it since you have lived here but this is just amazing. I have no words to describe the deliciousness of this food." I widened my eyes when I heard her words.

I couldn't believe she was giving such a normal reaction after eating this beautiful dinner.

"Well, then you need to roam around the continent. You would find dishes that taste a hundred times better than this."
