My jaw dropped seeing the news. The newscaster was talking to Jonathan, and I could barely comprehend the news she was passing out, but all I could see was footage of Jonathan in a hotel carrying a lady.
She looks familiar.
Immediately, I sprang up, rushing to the television and gazing at it intensely.
That's me!
"Is that not you, Anika," Stella mumbled, and I couldn't believe my eyes.
"Is that Anika? How were you able to know she was the one with her face barely shown?" Lily asked, and I drifted my eyes to them, then to the television.
"I don't understand what's going on. Why am I on the television?" I screamed, my mind refusing to digest all the bullshit the newscaster was saying; all that my brain needed was a simple explanation, and I was not getting it.
Stella brought out her phone, and after some seconds of silence, her voice came up.
"Uh-huh, this is not good," Stella spat out, and Lily hastily looked at her cell phone.
