Sweet banter

"Let me go. You don't have to talk to a dimwit.", Sophia said in an offended tone.

"When did I call you one? What are you thinking?", Daniel inquired but didn't loosen his hold.

"Let me go", Sophia said and Daniel shook his head. He can't let her be angry with him. He doesn't want to make her upset at all.

Sophia's movements became rigorous and her butt brushed past him member again and again making it hard for Daniel to control himself.

"Sophia. If you don't stop moving then I might do something that you are yet not ready for.", Daniel said while suppressing his groan. Sophia paused seeing him gritting his teeth and looked at him confused. She then felt something hard poking her butt and she widened her eyes.

"Pervert.", Sophia said thinking how could he get hard by just that. But she still stopped moving and sat obediently. She was really surprised seeing him reacting to her little movements.

"I am not a pervert wifey. Your husband is very healthy and it's a natural reaction when you are trying to test my self-control.", Daniel said chuckling seeing her obedient self.

Sophia didn't say anything but gestured with her eyes to let her go. Daniel didn't immediately leave her but asked her instead, "First tell me you are not upset or angry with me."

"I am not. I just was being moody.", Sophia said with a sigh after a pause, looking at his face. Daniel saw that she was telling the truth and then he felt relaxed.

Daniel picked up Sophia in his arms while standing up and Sophia hurriedly hugged his neck with her hands, fearing she might fall.

"What are you doing?", Sophia said seeing him walk out of the room.

"Taking my wife back to the bedroom.", Daniel said as if it was very normal.

"I can walk by myself.", Sophia protested but Daniel didn't react and continued walking. After entering the bedroom, he made Sophia lie down on bed and tucked her in.

"You go to sleep. It's almost midnight.", Daniel said and stood up. He walked towards the washroom.

"Where are you going?", Sophia asked seeing him walking away from the bed.

"I need to take a cold shower to settle something that my wife started but didn't take responsibility for.", Daniel said in a sad tone and Sophia threw a pillow at him.

"Shameless.", Sophia said and turned her face blushing.

"Only for you wifey.", Daniel said catching the pillow and Sophia's face turned redder. Daniel chuckled and kept the pillow back on the bed and walked towards the washroom to take a shower.

Sophia looked at the closed bathroom door and smiled remembering their earlier movie time. She liked spending time with him. Sophia kept her hand on her fast-beating heart and said to herself, "Am I falling for him?"

Sophia shook her head to clear her thoughts and closed her eyes to sleep. She was tired with the activities of the day and soon fell asleep.

Daniel walked out after he was done with his shower and walked towards his side of bed. He didn't reach out for Sophia as he just took a cold shower and he was afraid that she might catch a cold. He covered himself with the comforter to warm his body a little bit.

Sophia was half-asleep and she felt him lying down on the bed. She wiggled her way towards him and reached out to hug him in her sleep.

"I am cold.", Daniel said near her ears thinking she is awake but Sophia didn't hear what he said and hugged him anyway. She found a comfortable spot and kept her left ear on his heart and slept soundly.

Daniel was feeling over the moon seeing her subconscious action. Her keeping her ear above his heart felt like she wanted to listen to his heartbeat while sleeping. He felt very sweet inside due to this action of hers. Daniel kissed her forehead and murmured a soft 'good night wifey' and after covering themselves with the comforter which slipped due to her wiggling, he took closed his eyes to sleep.

Daniel woke up according to his body clock and felt his wife's sleeping face that was buried in the crook of his neck. He moved a little back to look at her face and after pecking her forehead he slowly moved her out of his arms and left the bed.

Daniel made sure that his movements didn't disturb her sleep and went to the gym. He exercised for about an hour there.

Meanwhile, Sophia woke up about half an hour after Daniel left. She roamed her hand on bed trying to find him but his side was cold. Sophia opened her eyes and looked at the clock. Seeing the time, she knew he would be in the gym.

Sophia stood up from the bed and after making the bed she went to the washroom. Sophia completed her morning routine and walked out of washroom in a bathrobe. She walked towards the closet and took out a light blue crop top and flared formal pants.

She changed into the formal wear she chose and walked out of the closet and went towards the vanity mirror. She combed her hair and styled them in half-up style bun. She put a moisturizer and wore a nude lipstick.

Daniel walked inside the room when she was wearing her heels. He looked at her from top to bottom and his eyes got stuck at her exposed waist. He wanted hide her but he knew he couldn't. He walked towards the washroom to take a bath instead. He didn't want to make her feel that he was extra possessive.

Sophia saw his little checking her out session but she felt confused when he walked towards the washroom without saying anything unlike yesterday. She looked at herself in the mirror to see if she wasn't looking good but found nothing wrong. She shrugged her shoulders and taking her bag, she walked out of the room.

She went downstairs and started scrolling her phone to see if there were any emails. She saw Emily's message saying she has returned. She thought for a while but didn't reply to her. She would see her in office anyway because she knows Emily very well. Emily would want to show her the contract that they signed eagerly and most importantly she needed the gossip of her one of it's kind wedding.
