How our rivalry started

[Kozue three years ago]

It spread like a wildfire a new boy that transferred to our school, Kenji Yoshikawa from class three is good at art, girls have already taken alike of him.

"Hey, Hey, do you know Yoshikawa Kenji, from the other class I saw his art it is so good." A girl from my class implored.

"Eh, really! I wished I saw it…"

"But Kozue-chan's art is also good, maybe they are rivals." Another girl commented about it even comparing my art to him.

"As if that transferee can defeat me in the competition," I replied.

"Hey, Kozue you will join the competition next week right? I've heard he will join."

"Sure, I'm pretty sure I am going to win as usual."

That's what I thought and the start of our rivalry.

The host announced the winner, "The winner of this year's art competition is Yoshikawa Kenji from class three. Give him a round of applause."

There is no way that I could ever lose to someone like him, he might have got lucky this time.
