Onto the Next One! {8}

After a whole week of staying in the city Damian had decided it was time to move on, and so they packed their bags and prepared to get on the road. Len had very little to pack and had coconut to carry it for him so he was very excited to go while poor Damian was drastically slowed by all the luggage he carried.

Lifting his head to look at Damian, Len asked something he had been wondering about for awhile "Where are you going? You have so many things you always plan so you must be heading somewhere right?" Damian froze. he slowly began to walk amd speak "some things happened I'm my hometown so I am moving far away, my route will get me as far away as possible, he patted Lens head with a nice smile "you remind me of my son, it's nice" he said before continuing to walk towards the edge of the city.

Len nodded figuring this was a good answer and that he shouldn't press for further details, he didn't wish to make Damian mad at him by pressing further about the matter. He pondered in his head over why Damian should run away from home, he was a strong and seemingly trustworthy guy so what could possibly drive him out? Eventually he decides to shake it off, it wasn't any of his business so he just needed to focus on stealing more things like the beautiful serpant ring.

He saw a rich man buying the beautiful gryffon as they walked out honestly making him a little sad, somewhere deep in his heart he had the unreasonable hope that he could get the gryffon and ride it through the sky's. He watched as the nobleman proudly led it away while the gryffon looked quite sad, it led Len to wonder why he was called a nobleman.. he didn't seem very noble. Suddenly he felt a knock on his head and immediately turned to complain at Damian "Hey what was that for?" he cried while holding his head as if he had been fatally injured.

Damian pulled him to the side of the street and quickly spoke "look I don't care what you are but being gay is illegal here so don't stare at nobles so intently okay? You could start wearing a dress and then you'd get away with it most of the time but you just can't do that here." he says before proceeding to grab Lens wrist and continued to lead him away. "I'm not gay, i was just thinking he didn't look very noble for a nobleman." he replys very defensively causing Damian to give a nod and continue walking.

Eventually they reach the gates finding it much easier to leave than it was to enter. The guards simply let them right out with Len riding coconut and Damian walking along beside him still quite slow because of all the baggage. Neither wore armour since they would be following a very worn path that wasn't often robbed. The trio walked on and on for many hours until finally the sun was ready to sleep, Damian pointed to a nice clear patch on the side of the rode "Let's camp there for the night" he says as he walks over and begins to unpack his gear.

Len sat by the fire staring far into the fields at a beautiful deer like creature, it had a dark blue coat with a light blue belly and spots, balls of white light hung from its pitch black antlers gently swaying in the wind as it stared straight back at Len. Damian stretched and opened the entrance of the tent "stop staring at that thing and go to sleep, we need to be well rested to continue we've got a real long walk." Len nodded and followed him inside where they both peacefully slept.
