Len stayed for an entire week before deciding it was time to leave, and take some clothes with him, when the moon was highest he left the old ladies house and snuck over to the army camp. Carefully len used his small body to his advantage as he slipped through their barriers and headed behind the biggest tent, all the soldiers were either asleep, drunk, or both so nobody was there to notice him.
He carefully slipped inside the boys room where he began to rummage through the clothes. He found capes, plqtform boots,, vests, and gloves as well as many other Gothic looking items. Eventually Len settled on a black cloak that had the same color of blue as the rings gem had, he also grabbed one set of purely black platform boots and slipped them on. Buttons clicked in place as len fastened it around his neck and pulled the hood up over his head, crashing was heard as he stumbled in the boots.. maybe he would put those on later.
Coconut sped out of the village with lens cloak flapping in the wind as they fled into the night. Len had alot of time to think about Damian, he was so kind but so brutally murdered.. and Len even had to commit the final blow. The way they stared into eachothers eyes finally made him understand what it meant for the light to go out of someone's eyes, they stopped moving. Peoples eyes looked bright and shiny because they constantly moved and reflected light.. but Damians no longer did that and so they had lost their light.
Len was only brought out of his thoughts as the sun rose over the horizon and pierced into his eyes. Beautiful red and orange lights fell over the rolling fields while the sun rose from behind tall trees with bright yellow leaves. Coconut seemed to admire it to as she trotted along the worn path. Len checked the map from Damians bag and they were indeed on the right path, this place was labeled as sunshine forest.
The forest was absolutely stunning with long winding trees that had white bark and bright yellow leaves, the sun filtered through them making the grass lovely different shade of green. Len watched as a colorful butterfly flew by and.. he could only hate it. How could this place feel so happy and lovely when Damian was dead? He felt happy and at peace here, but he shouldn't! He had to feel careful, it wouldve been him who died if it weren't for Damian so he had to be careful and protect himself now!
Eventually Len came across a wagon train drawn in the circle around a campfire. The wagons were white with gold trim that curled and looked quite delicate, Len had found something to take his anger out on. he quickly got out of view and parked Coconut next to some trees telling her to stay put.
All was quiet in the campsite as a man in shiny black armour sat staring into space, he felt very bored. He had come out to the war to fight and yet he was surrounded by guards and propped up in a fancy wagon, how could he feel that he protected his land if he wasn't doing anything but giving commands? He sighed and shook his head, suddenly there was a crash! and a bang! and a small boy falling out of one of the wagons! He was very cute with a frail frame and big round eyes that looked incredibly innocent, the man suddenly felt that his armour was a little too tight.
Len had managed to climb on one of the wagons but hadn't expected to fall through the apparently thin roof, even worse he fell onto a sleeping guard! The guard woke and began yelling at him as the boy quickly ran through the wall now that he knew how thin the wagons walls really were. To his dismay the covering didn't rip as easily causing him to fall face first onto the ground, he saw a huge man wearing a full suit of dark shiny armour sitting at the fire. As Len got to his hands and knees a spear pierced right where his head had been.
"Stop!" the man commanded as he sat up, his heavy armour clinked together, he obviously would not be fast. "Take him captive, don't kill him just yet" he commanded the guard who stood behind Len. Grunting the woman reached and picked up Len by his cloak "Yes your highness, where shall I put him? We dont exactly have a jail." The royal man nodded as he thought "put him in one of the cages, the ones we brought in case we found a rare animal" he commanded the guard who simply nodded.
Len kept his mouth shut as the guard dragged him into a wagon full of cages, she chose one that seemed to suit Lens size and threw him into it. Lens eyes widened with realization as he finally opened his mouth while grabbing the bars of his cage "my horse, she's hidden in some trees nearbye please find and care for her" the guard nodded as she left.
