Theodore, already in high spirits, dragged William to a booth. The spot was elevated, offering a clear view of the entire nightclub. The lights were flashing, women's skirts swaying, and their chests moving with the rhythm. Theodore's eyes sparkled at the sight.
After turning down some girls offering to drink with them, Brian ordered a light drink. The music was loud, and Theodore had to shout to be heard.
"Check out the girl diagonally across from us, her skirt's so short you can see her underwear."
"Looking for a slap, huh? If you're any louder, I'll make sure you see stars," William teased, pushing a fruit plate towards Brian.
"Now that you have a husband, you can't mess around. All the beauties here are mine. You guys chill, I'm off to have some fun. Don't leave, okay? Once we've partied enough, we'll go for a hot spring soak and a foot massage."
Theodore, bouncing like he had springs in his shoes, darted off. He looked like a zombie doing the moonwalk. Was his arm not properly healed? Why was he twisting it so weirdly while dancing and approaching the ladies?
"Drink less, your hand hasn't healed yet. We'll play a bit and then head home," William told Brian.
Brian nodded. He trusted that William wouldn't dare flirt with any beauties or hunks in front of him, unless he had a death wish.
Going clubbing as a couple wasn't ideal. Firstly, jealousy could flare up, and secondly, there were too many distractions. Everyone else was dancing and flirting, while they sat there staring at each other. It was pretty boring, and neither of them dared to make a move.
Clearly, William didn't see it that way. His eyes were wandering, first locating the exits and safety doors, then scanning every guest in the club, upstairs and downstairs, his body swaying with the music.
"Once your hand's better, I'll take you dancing," he told Brian.
Brian smiled. Going to a club to dance hand in hand? That was quite romantic.
Suddenly, William's roving eyes fixed on the entrance.
Following his gaze, Brian saw a tall, stunning woman in a maroon dress, with wavy long hair, big eyes, and long legs.
"Wait here for a bit, I'll go check it out."
With a spark in his eyes, William squeezed into the crowd, slowly moving towards the beauty.
She was a gorgeous woman, with a great figure and pretty face. As she sat at the bar, many men gathered around her. She said something to them with a smile, and soon, the men reluctantly left.
Brian's relaxed smile faded, replaced by a cold stare as he watched William. His left hand clenched his glass.
Theodore approached the beauty first, flirting with her. She said something to him, and Theodore shrugged, handing her a drink before returning.
"That beauty is so aloof," Theodore commented, not noticing the change in Brian's demeanor.
"Brian, are you also checking out the beauty? If William knew, he'd definitely be jealous."
Finally noticing Brian's unusual silence, Theodore followed his gaze to the beauty and laughed mischievously. Men were always fascinated by beauty, even if they were into other men.
Brian wanted to go look for William. Where could he have gone in such a short time?
A slightly drunk man approached the beauty, reaching out to touch her hand. She slapped his hand away, but he tried to touch her leg.
"What are you doing?" she shouted. The commotion attracted a crowd. The drunk man seemed oblivious and continued to harass her. She slapped him, and he became angry, ready to hit her. A burly man appeared from a corner, ready to help, but before he could, several men shielded the beauty. There were always those ready to protect a damsel in distress. They started to fight with the drunk man, who seemed to know some martial arts and was quite fierce, even when drunk. Several men were knocked to the ground by him.
