Chapter 22- Real vs Fake

The second Princess hurls insults at Alix. She simply ignores the 2nd Princess' rant; she never thought that Princess had a bad personality.

"Bitter," she thought to herself.

While Reid and White were irritated by the insults that the 2nd Princess was hurling at Alix. Meanwhile, the rest of the maidens are immune to it.

Reid had had enough, but Alix noticed and commented.

"Many thanks, Reid."

Reid was taken aback and asked, "I didn't do anything?"

"Your intentions are sufficient," Alix replied with a smile.

When the 2nd Princess realized she was being ignored, she laughed and said, "Hehe filthy, lowly commoners have the audacity to flirt in front of me!"

Reid blushed; he had no idea the 2nd Princess had mentioned that he was flirting with Alix.

While White abandons paying attention to the second Princess for fear of flipping a coin and accidentally killing that foul mouth, Princess.

Dion arrives unexpectedly, and he notices the royal cart's depressing aura.

"What transpired?" The second Princess inquired.

He ignores the true second princess and relays the information to Alix, the acting second princess.

"Princess, there is an injured man who claims to be an escort from Sir Lex your Fiance," Dion said.

"You! Why are you ignoring me?" roared the 2nd Princess.

Reid murmurs, "Behave yourself, you are a royal maid, do you want to die if you continue to act like this?"

The 2nd Princess was speechless; she knew that if the cover was blown and the enemies discovered she was the true 2nd Princess, her life would be jeopardized. So, even though she didn't want to, she decided to keep her mouth shut.

"Being me to him," Alix stated calmly as she exited the royal cart.

The young man who claims to be Sir Lex's escort was previously the young master. He was taken aback by the appearance of the second Princess, who was stunning.

"Please introduce yourself, young man," Alix smiled.

This Young Master's real name is Link Connect, the older brother of Lex Connect, The 2nd Princess's Fiance.

"My name is Linn, Madame," Link said, standing guard.

Alix smiles and walks over to Link, inspecting his condition.

"Reid, please call the royal doctor and check on Sir Linn's condition, and Dion, please look for something to wear for Sir Linn," Alix said.

"Yes," Dion replied, rushing.

While Reid did not respond, he did nod and immediately summoned the royal doctor. Of course, the royal doctor is aware of the true situation and has noticed that the true 2nd Princess is insane.

"You called the 2nd Princess," the royal doctor said flatly.

Alix ignored the royal doctor's rude behavior and said, "This is Sir Linn, Sir Lex escort sends to guide us."

After a few moments, Dion returned with clothes and handed them to Sir Linn. Reid, on the other hand, retorted, "Dion, why that?"

"What is wrong with?" Alix inquired.

"It's your clothes," White said quietly to Alix.

"What's wrong with it, she asks for clothes?" Dion responded before realizing what he had done.

"Please accept my apologies, your highness," Dion said.

Meanwhile, Link was perplexed as to what was going on.

"Hehe, don't worry about it," Alix laughs as she notices Dion's panic and blushing.

"Then I'll get my own clothes," Dion says.

"No need," she said, "this will suffice."

"I won't let a stranger wear your clothes!" exclaimed the trio.

The real 2nd Princess was speechless, as were the rest of the royal subjects. To think a young lady is dressed like a man.

"Do you have feelings for him? that you want him to wear your clothes?" White asks with the intent to kill.

Reid and Dion were taking off their clothes with the intention of giving them to Sir Linn.

The audience was stunned, especially Link, who had come to see his brother's fiancee.

Alix had had enough of her friends acting strangely and was worried that their cover would be blown. She goes to get her weapon. A massive hammer slams into the trio's heads.

"Dion! Reid and White! Stop this strange behavior "She stated.

"Sorry about that, Sir Linn; my best friends may be overly protective of me," she explained.

"You treat them like friends?" Link inquires, his voice trembling.

According to what he heard, the second Princess was an arrogant and foul-mouthed individual, but the second Princess he is witnessing is the polar opposite of the one he heard.

"Is there anything wrong with it?" Alix inquires

"Nothing at all, except for the man's clothes?" Requested links

"Well, about this, it's a secret," she explained.

The link was perplexed as to why a beautiful lady would dress as a man. Maybe just for fun, or maybe there's a deeper meaning to it.

While the true 2nd Princess raged on the side. And the Royal doctor nearly passed out.

It had been two days. The trio was so protective of Alix that the second Princess was at her breaking point. The Link was now persuaded that the second Princess was not all bad.

The journey was uneventful until an attack by unknown enemies occurred. Reid and Dion followed the mission, escaping with the true 2nd Princess through a magical portal to a nearby city.

While White and Alix were left behind, Link accompanied them.

"White, escort the royal subject to safety," Alix instructed.

"How about you, though?" White stated

"Believe me, I can handle myself," Alix said.

The Link was taken aback by what was going on. He made the decision to follow Alix. He even wonders why a princess prioritizes the safety of her subjects over her own.

The following scenes rendered Him even more speechless. Alix is fighting 20 men at once. To escape, she used her massive hammer as well as a magical portal.

Unfortunately, she did not notice a surprise attack in her blind spot. Lucky Link summoned a shield to shield her.

"Sir Linn what brings you here? Why aren't you accompanying the Princess?" She stated.

"Are you a princess?" Link responded, only to be hit by another surprise attack.

"I'll explain later," she said as she turned on the magical portal.

Link awakens disoriented and takes in his surroundings.

"You're finally awake, I'm sorry you got involved in my mission," she admitted.

An attack is heading straight for Alix's backside. The link protects her once more by taking the attack himself and passing out.

"Mission? How much time has passed?" He inquires.

"I'm just a decoy, the real Princess Pryce is safe with Reid and Dion, and you've been unconscious for two days but I can't leave you, plus I'm injured, so I have no choice but to stay in this small town," she explained.

"Are you the second Princess?" asked for a link

Suddenly, the room's door opened, and an elderly couple entered.

"Don't worry, Alix dear, your Husband will be awake soon," the old lady said.

The old man became aware that the Link was awake. "Young man, don't worry your wife like that."

"Husband? Wife?" Link inquired as to why he was so perplexed.

"Just stay here," Alix said as she led the elderly couple outside.

She returned to the room a moment later.

"What was that all about?" Link asks.

"Sorry about that; they mistook us for married, and when they discovered us in the forest, I hugged you so tightly that I refused to let you go. They are already treating us as if we are a married couple when I wake up "Alix stated

"Plus, we need to keep a low profile because what if our enemies find out where we are and attack us while we are still healing from our injuries? I can't fight yet," she added.

"It's all right, you just did what you needed to do," Link said.

Then he apologized, saying that he was supposed to protect her because she was a woman, not the other way around. Alix reassured him that everything was fine.

"Can you tell me where we are?" Link inquires

"We're four kingdoms/counties away from the Lexus country; don't worry, I've already asked my teammates where we are, and they say they'll be here in two days."

"Are Sir Reid, Dion, and White correct, your friend?" Link inquired.

"They are like my own brothers, they are so sweet hehe sometimes overprotective," she responded.

"Brothers? Are you not interested in any of them?" asked for a link

"Hehe, actually, I found them super attractive; each of them has their own distinct charm," she responded.

"What about me?" Link inquired, his brow furrowed.
