A black haired man with glowing red eyes, huge bat like wings, claws and fangs led an army of people with similar characteristics to his against monstrous beasts. He held a black sword that emitted an ominous aura. He released slashes of red energy from his sword, killing some beasts instantly and injuring others but the beasts seemed to never stop surging forth.
After fighting for hours, the man became a little sloppy in his movements and began to accumulate small injuries that healed as fast as they came but were quickly replaced by more cuts.
His once large army was now reduced to a few people who were being overwhelmed by the ever surging beasts. The man looked on hopelessly as the leftovers of his army fought a losing battle.
"I have to resort to that forbidden technique or else the world will be overrun by beasts" the man said after sighing deeply.
He began to glow a crimson red color as his life force was burnt in exchange for a tremendous boost in his power.
"King Tataroth, please stop, you will die if you continue this" a man named Sepheron said. "I can't stop, if I do, the sacrifice of those who have already died would be for nothing" Tataroth answered.
Sepheron looked at Tataroth hopelessly as he knew that Tataroth had already made up his mind and would not stop no matter what happened.
"Before I die, I have a favor to ask of you" Tataroth said. "What is it" Sepheron asked. "When I die, I want you to take my blood core and find a suitable successor for me that will become the next Vampire King and will be able to get rid of these beasts once and for all" Tataroth said. "Yes, my king" Sepheron answered with a tinge of sadness in his voice.
Tataroth turned towards the beasts and sped at them with a blazing speed. He slashed at them with his sword, releasing wave after wave of red energy and killing beasts left and right.
He poured all his power into a singular attack and obliterated the remaining beasts albeit at the cost of his life. He began to cough you some blood and he knew his death was near.
He handed his sword to Sepheron saying "Give my sword to my successor as my last gift to him". Sepheron simply nodded his head while holding back the tears welling up in his eyes.
"Goodbye forever, my friend" Tataroth said as he finally died. His blood core burst forth from his chest and flew into Sepheron's hands.
Sepheron took one last look at Tataroth's body which was starting to dissipate along with the rest of the bodies of the members of Tataroth's army.
Sepheron sighed deeply and turned into a blood red mist that quickly dissipated into the open sky.
