-=Clones, Test and Tokigakure=- rewritten

During this one week, Naruto tried do make some changes to the shadow clone jutsu, he obviously failed to make it better, but... he can now disperse clone and get only the memories that the clones want to pass to the main body.

"This is incredible, the strain on the mind is way weaker now... i can speed up my training with this"

Naruto now is using 2/3 of Lee's weight, What? he should stop using weights and use only gravity and restriction seals? don't be silly. without weights he could not showoff like Lee did in cannon... a valid reason, ok?

Anyway team 7 is now, as usual, waiting for Kakashi that, also as usual, is late.

Naruto arrives 3 hours later than he should

"YOU'RE LATE!!" Sakura is still annoying

"Hn" And Sasuke is still 'Hn'ing

"Sorry i got lost in the path of life, then i found this really cute puppy and lost the time while playing with it" Naruto's comprehension of the dao of shamelessness increases daily, Kakashi is a great teacher at this... at least at this.

"Yo! My cute little minions" Kakashi greets team 7, Naruto covers his ears with chakra so he doesn't need to hear Sakura screaming like a banshee.

"Anyway... this 3 forms here" he then tosses 3 papers at them "Are your register forms for the chunnin exams, fill it and take it to the academy room 301 tomorrow before 9am. Thats it now bye!" Kakashi flickers away after saying his part.

"Well see you guys at the academy tomorrow, bye~" Naruto also flickers away

"CAN SOMEONE TELL ME WHAT IS THE CHUNNIN EXAMS ALREADY!?" Sakura still being dumb. *Author facepalms* sigh~

The next day

Naruto woke up early, as usual.

He took a bath and went to prepare breakfast.

Some minutes later a sleepy eye Ikki made her way tonthe kitchen.

"Morning Ikki" Naruto said

"Moorniing~" Sleepily replied Ikki

While Ikki was busy trying to awake properly and Naruto was cooking, Haku also enters the kitchen.

"Morning Naruto, Ikki."

"Morning"

"Yawn~"

"So you are going ro participate in the chunnin exams, huh?"

Haku's question seems to have made Ikki less sleepy.

"Yep, the first exam is today, i can't wait to become a chunnin and get rid of those annoying teammates of mine..." Naruto replied

"Then we will be in the same team, right?" Enthusiastically aaks Ikki, she doesn't seem ro be sleepy at all now...

"That is the plan anyways..." Answers Naruto, Making Ikki delighted...

After they eat, As Naruto prepares to leave to the academy, Ikki and Haku approach him

"Good luck Naruto" Said Haku with a smile

"G-Good luck N-Naruto... i wanted to give you this as a g-good luck charm" Ikki stutter a bit in her sentence, She give Naruto a wood carved talisman with her ketsuryugan pattern carved on it.

"Thanks Haku. Thank you Ikki" Naruto answers with a smile, a genuine one, a rare occurrence nowadays, that smile made Ikki forget to breathe dor some time, when she recomposed herself, Naruto was already gone, and Haku had already entered the house again...

"Sigh~"

Team 7 is in front of the academy waiting for Naruto to show up

"He is so dead if we end up late because of him" Sakura complains

"And you will be the one to kill me?" Sakura jumps in fright as she hears a voice behind her

"When did you get behind me?" Sakura is impressed, but that is not surprising since she is ... uh... like that (pay more attention to looks than skills).

"I got some information about chunnin exams in the past years" Naruto ignores Sakura annoying her, but what he says next draw the attention of the team

"I've heard that we will be tested in one specific manner, a test of a certain skill that can be either communication between teammates, info gathering or strategy and theory. then a team based survival training with some kind of second test (scrolls), and finally one on one combat" The info that Naruto got are some of his speculations and the answers that some chunnins gave away while he was asking around, he does not know if the exam will be the same as cannon afterall so he needs to prepare for a different outcome.

"Now lets go, think about what to do after we hand over our forms, we dont have all the time in the world" Naruto remembers them that they did not hand their forms yet, so they enter the academy.

At the second floor they find the same scene of cannon, Lee playing weak and even though Naruto know they are just pretending, he is not. During his time training with Guy and Lee he became one of Naruto's close friends so he didn't like seeing him lika that.

Naruto flickers in front of the two tranformed chunnin right when they are about to hit Lee and Tenten again, He looks at them and asks

"Dont you guys know that is not right to hit a lady in the face? Maybe that's why you are both single even being so old..." While Lee starts speaking with Naruto about their training progress, Tenten keeps staring at him, now don't misunderstand, she is not a stranger with Naruto as she saw him lots of times training with Guy, but after Naruto changed his looks she is really surprised that he ended up so different.

"What did you say!" One of the transformed chunnins attacks Naruto for what he said, Naruto doesn't even look at him and the next second the chunnin falls on the ground. Everyone is confused, they don't know how Naruto did it, but team 7 saw his chain entering the ground behind him and grabbing the leg of the chunnin, his chains are different from his mother's chains, Kushina had the sealing chains, which could seal even a tailed beast. But Naruto's chains are different, they can pass chakra to others or steal chakra from others, he discovered this after his bloodline 'awoke', he also noticed that some strands of his hair turned red, its not easy to spot them but they are there.

The rest goes like cannon, they head towards the third floor , Sakura refuses Lee's confession, Lee beats Sasuke up but before he could scalate thinngs further Guy kicks in (litteraly) and reprimends him, he also talk with Naruto about the seals he gave them and how YOUTHFULL they are, which means how usefull they found the seals to be. Kakashi was waiting for them on the door, explains that if one of them *looks at Sakura* didn't come the team would not be able to participate and bla, bla ,bla... you know it.

"Sasuke-kun!" Ino jumps at Sasuke that does not show any reaction having a beutifull girl hugging him, seriously is he gay or something?... probably, yeah... anyways.

"Get off MY Sasuke-kun Ino-pig"

"Oh! I didn't see you there Sakura. Your forehead blocked my sight of you" Ino mocks Sakura back

*TRIGGERED* and they start bickering, whit Ino still hanging around Sasuke... Every male in the room tough the same thing '''LUCKY BASTARD!'''

"Yo Shika, you are going to do the test as well? i thought you would prefer to be cloud gazing right now." Naruto ignores his stupid teammates and starts to talk with his friends

"Sigh~, I wish i could. My mom said that i need to pass the exam or else...." He doesn't finish what he was talking but the clear fear in his eyes make Naruto undestand that he would not talk about it.

"So the whole gang is here!" Kiba says, refering that all of the rookie 9 are taking the test, Shino at the side continues to act like a statue, and Hinata is glancing at Naruto from time to time.

"Can't you guys tone down for a second?" Kabuto makes his presence know while trying to show off, he proceeds to talk a lot about other villages, how he sucks and repeated the same exam 7 times, and showns some cards with confidential info from not only konoha but suna as well... and no one suspects him...

'Idiots here, idiots there, idiots everywhere'

Sasuke asks for cards about Gaara and Lee, but surprisingly Sasuke asks for a card of someone called Shizen Hatsushiki (shizen = nature/hatsushiki = first command) Naruto doesn't know who it is but he hears Kabuto speaking of him

"Shizen Hatsushiki? he is a gennin from Tokigakure... its a new village that is like otogakure, they send just a team but they seem really confident about the exam. His teammates are Shizuki Akame(Shizuki = next month/Akame = Deep red) and Karasa Shikage(Karasa = hot flavor/Shikage = Death shadow), He has completed 103 d-ranks, 39 c-ranks, 10 b-ranks and 2 a-rank missions, he is rumored to have a doujutsu that is on par with the sharingan of the uchiha and the byakugan of the hyuuga, but no one confirmed this" Everyone is stunned, a gennin completing a b-ranked mission is already impressive but a a-ranked one? thats unheard of! it seems that this tokigakure has someone impressive.

'Tokigakure... a new and strange doujutsu... capable of completing a-rank missions as a gennin... i need to pay attention about this group of people, they could be the most dangerous participants in this exam, or the most friendly idk...'

'...Right, forgot about the dynamic duo, Sasuke and Sakura... Damn why did i need to be in their team?'

Then Kabuto says something that no one pays attention to but 'enrages' the oto nin's. But since Kabuto's explanation took longer than it should Ibiki almost expels the oto nins for attacking someone, he explains the rules and as Naruto thought, they were different from cannon.

You had to encrypt a message with a certain question on it, and both your teammates should be able to undestand it, they had 1 minute to discuss who would be the one encrypting the message, Naruto took this role, Sasuke would copy his code that he would write on other paper that would be give to Ibikki with his sharingan, and Sakura could solve it by herself.

This test was a test of communication, information deliveryng and receiving and intelligence as the other 2 would need to answer the question. No cheating was allowed if someone was caugh cheating they would lose 2 points, just like cannon.

"Lets see then, 'Question: During a mission your supplies were destroyed by enemies and you have next to nothing to eat, you are in a forest at the far north of the land of fire, how can you get enough food to survive and how can you differentiate if it is poisonous or not?' this question is really not something a gennin would know... i think Sasuke will need to even copy Sakura's answer."

The encrypting was done by a easy code, Naruto then had an enlightenment

'if i can use encrypted codes to write seals i could make them way more compact than before i just need to create a seal code that was compact and efficient' This idea was just a theory, a sealing theory, but if it worked it would be a new era for sealig arts, no more gigantic sealing arrays, all of them would be compact, the benefits of this method would make bigger seals receive more than smaler ones as it would compact almost the entie seal (the bigger seals would have more things to compact than smaler ones). But for now the exams.

Temari was the one encrypting the question for team suna, Kankuro used his puppet to get the code from her, and Gaara used his sand eye.

Team 9 had Tenten encrypting the question and manipulating the mirrors on the ceiling to make her teammates see the code.

'Does she really think no one can see these MASSIVE mirrors moving? i will only not disqualify her team because she was brave enough to do this, this girl is really courageous!' one of the examiners thought after seeing her display, luckly for her he had a ... unique, personality.

Shino was the one encrypting the question for team 8, Akamaru (more usefull than Kiba btw) gave Kiba the code, while Hinata solved it even without using her byakugan, she was the second smartest kunoichi of the rookie 9 after miss forehead afterall.

What intriged Naruto the most was the team from the tokigakure, they did everything as if they already knew it even before of the exams.

'Do they really have a time related ninjutsu? maybe a way of communicating with each other? if is the latter i could do it as well with seals, if is the first...'

[Aren't you a little exaggerated? not even my father could manipulate time, how could some little kids do that?]

'I guess you are right...'

Ibikki used some methods like threatening to forbid them to take the exams ever again if they failed, causing a lot of (stupid) gennins to give up. There was no twist like in cannon were everyone that stayed passed by default, so only about the same number of people that passed in cannon passed this test (in cannon Naruto used talk-no-jutsu to motivate a lot of people that would give up to not give up, since he didn't do it here it proves that these participants are a little better than the cannon ones).

"Okay time's up everyone, we will grade your tests and tomorrow a list of which teams passed will be at the hokage building and the academy building, the teams that passed should gather here at room 301 before 10am tomorrow for your second test. thats it, dismissed"

After the test team 7 went their separated ways. Sakura went home, Sasuke went brooding and Naruto went to find a certain team that intriged him...
