Chapter- 4 You Will Die

Max wasn't able to react on time, to the spear coming towards him after it curved in the direction where Max dodged the attack at first. Max got hit by the spear and fell to the ground, it pained a bit but it does not hurt Max that much, probably Lucas did not put much strength into his attack. "How did you make that curve in the middle of the attack?" Max asked getting up from the ground with excitement in his voice. Like he had seen a magic trick and wanted to know the trick behind it.

"You will need a lot of practice for pulling something like this, it's not easy as you think it will be" Lucas knew that this thing can't be mastered in just a day or two because it wasn't as simple as it looked Lucas also had used something else while attacking to make it bend midair. Lucas knew he can't teach something like this complicated as this to Max this early.

"I will train more from now on to learn this thing, promise me that you will teach me this in the future" Max looked toward Lucas while waiting for his response for this. "Yeah, I will teach you when you will be ready, I promise" Lucas promised Max to teach him this and Max picked up his sword from the ground that he had dropped after getting hit by Lucas earlier, he was still feeling the pain in his chest. "Luckily Lucas was holding back otherwise what if he had used his full force on that attack, I am sure it would have pierced through my chest without any problem.

"I should try to speed up my training, it will be beneficial for me if I learned everything as fast as possible" Max thought while walking towards the gate of the grounds and going to the weapon room to put back the sword that he took earlier. Max didn't see any need to carry the sword with him while he was in the castle. Max had seen that there were knights everywhere to guard the castle from any threat.

Lucas had told Max that the castle is situated near the forest where a lot of beasts roam around but this was built here because of this reason. Like other kings from the past king Albert was different he wanted to protect the people from every possible danger and the people are safe because of this, in the past castle for kings were built in the safest place of the kingdom for the king's safety but Arthur loves his people more than himself and decides to leave the previous castle.

He had built a huge wall covering most of the forest for the safety of civilians and built the castle here. Arthur had a geographical advantage here to protect his kingdom from beasts here cause only this forest is the only way for the beasts to come from, other areas are surrounded by sea and the beasts from seas can't survive for long on land, and those who can survive on land have only half their strength on land. So, it becomes easier for this place to defend itself.

"Now I have some time for rest but before that should I contact that guy, he said he has something to talk about maybe it will be important" Max thought about whether he should contact Henry or not. He was still angry about Henry's behavior towards him from earlier and wasn't sure what to do for now. Max didn't realize but he had already reached his room while thinking about all these things that had been making him think a lot.

After noticing his room Max snapped out of his thoughts and open the door so he can take a bath and rest for some time before continuing anything else. Max had lived alone until now in his world, he didn't have any parents other than an older sister that looked after him. Who also had disappeared mysteriously some years ago. He didn't have this luxury that he has now here so it was a new and happy feeling for Max who had only lived in a small apartment until now and ate mostly from canned foods.

"Only If I don't have to fight those beasts I would have loved to stay here for my whole life" Max was thinking about the thing that was not possible in reality. In the end, he had to fight those dread beasts and monsters to save his own life as well as others' lives. After taking a bath Max was feeling refreshed from getting rid of all the sweat that he had on his body cause of the training.

Max decides to ask for some food before he started to check his screen again to find out more about it. Max walked toward the crystal that was near the door "Hello, can you send me some food again" Max asked and the other side replied, "We will send the food to your room" after hearing this Max waited till he heard a knock on the door. "They are here this quickly, maybe they have food already prepared," Max thought while he walked towards the door before, he can open the door something come out from under the door gap. It was a piece of paper with something written on it.

Max was terrified after seeing what was written on the paper. Max knew this thing was possible after coming here to this world but he didn't want to think about it because he knew if he thinks about this, he will not be able to do anything and will be useless. Max again saw the paper to confirm if he wasn't hallucinating from being tired, Max picked up the paper and again read the content on it. There were not a lot of words just three words had made Max was terrified to the extent that he was shaking, "You will die" Max read it aloud this time and his eyes have become lifeless thinking about the worst scenarios.
