Chapter- 6 Walking Different Path

Max was thinking about what if the third hero come after him first to get rid of the danger that he might become in the future, how far have beasts evolved can they can plot against us, and why did not they tell us that others have special abilities like us. Is the king even telling the truth? What if he is a bad person and lies to me and Henry all from the start? His mind could not work anymore after thinking about all the things that can happen.

Max was getting scared the more he is getting to know about this world. At first, he even thought that maybe he could become a protagonist here who will help the weak and defeat the evil, just like in the novels he had read in his world but the reality was different than he had imagined. Getting threats from unknown persons, a potential ally might be an enemy, and fighting beasts that are even scarier than animals from his world. All of these thoughts were going back and forth in his mind and with every passing minute, he was getting scared.

After some time, Max had fallen asleep while thinking about all the things that he had learned from Henry. It had only been his first day and he was getting scared. But Max had to overcome these fears or he will be just waiting for his death here.

At the same time, while Max was sleeping when the sun had gone down and it was a full moon, stars were shining on the clear sky without a single cloud. In another room at the castle, Henry was still practicing in his room, he was using his two axes on a wooden dummy placed in the center of his room. Henry's room was exactly designed the same as Max's, just the color of the walls was different, and the dummy that was in the center of the room which Henry was hitting with his axe from different angles and to different parts of the dummy.

Once he will swing his axe to the waist then the other strike would be aimed at the legs, head, or torso. Henry was covered in his sweat on his whole body, but he was not slowing down his swings and there was no decrease of force in his strikes even after swinging for hours. Henry's special ability sounded simple but if it will be practiced more it will be a scary one, right now the thing Henry is doing is not related to his ability, he was walking a different path. Just think about a person who can use every type of magic available in the world he will be the same as invincible.

Magic is one of the strongest things in this world and Henry's ability lets him use every type of magic at ease and provide a huge pool of mana, when he arrived here, he was Overflowing with mana all around him. He had already learned everything about magic that people here at the castle were able to teach him and but he had never shown them using his magic.

Now Henry wanted to focus on increasing his physical strength and that's why he was using axes all the time to practice fighting he knew he can easily defeat an opponent with his magic but he wanted to hide his strength. If people will think he is not as exceptional and strong as the legend says then he won't get a lot of attention on him and he can do as he wishes.

Also, it will be an ace up his sleeve, if the other party will think that he is weak they might let their guard down while facing him. and it will be advantageous for Henry. While staying here Henry had learned three types of magic but only at the basic tier, still, it's a great achievement, he had only stayed here for a month and had not even taken the whole month to learn the magic.

"I need to improve myself, this is not a game or dream, where I can just restart or wake up from it," Henry thought while swinging his axe on the neck of the dummy and beheading it. Henry was panting but he was feeling satisfied when he saw how much damage he had done to the dummy, after noticing he was drenched in his sweat, he decided to take a bath. And walked off to the bathroom that was in the room. While stabbing both his axe in the chest of the dummy.

The night passed away like this and Max was still sleeping in his room, he was sleeping while scrunching both of his knees. He had a look of fear on his face while sleeping. "Knock, Knock" Lucas's voice comes from outside the room, "Max wake up" Lucas starts to shout to wake up Max. After several shouts from Lucas, Max wakes up from his sleep and stretched himself. Max was still sleepy but he woke up and walked toward the door to open it for Lucas.

"Max, why are you sleeping till this late? You should have come to the grounds for practice." Lucas asked Max who was still half-asleep. "I think we can still train and it's not like a lot of time might have passed, right?" Max jokingly said while Lucas had a serious look on his face and he just shifted his gaze towards the window. Max walked towards the window and put curtains on the side then he saw that the sun was straight up in the sky and realized he had slept till afternoon.

Max gave a half-wry smile to Lucas while scratching the back of his head. "It's late now and I cannot practice with you today, I have a task to complete outside the castle. So, I'll be out for the day. I will suggest that you should either practice yourself, the same things that you have done yesterday, or go around the castle to make yourself familiar with the surroundings." Lucas gave him some suggestions and walked off to complete his task.

Max closed the door and fresh up, after taking a bath Max asked for some food and eat it. The first thought that Max's mind crossed was to go to the weapons room on the ground so he can pick up a sword, for an unknown situation.

Max started heading to the weapon room. While thinking about where should he go next, "I think I should skip the training until Lucas gets back, if there's a library here, I Should head there to learn more about our power" Max thought while he was planning his schedule for the day, Lucas was heading in the direction of the forest.
