Chapter – 27 Moving Eyes

Getting back to the forest, Max was heading to the same places where he had killed those beasts, trying to find them again but he wasn't able to find one of them again. "Were those three the last of their kind?" Max thought while searching for them.

When Max was not able to find those beasts in the outer area of the forest, "Maybe searching a little more inside the forest will help." And thus, he decided to head inside the middle area of the forest to find that beast.

Going through the middle area was dangerous this was the same area where Ron was ambushed by that Advance-tier beast and thinking about that beast whose beast crystal is used to make Max's new sword. Looking ahead to use his new sword, he just wanted to encounter any beast now to see the difference between his old sword.

Max wasn't able to find the beast with rock skin from last night but he had come across another one, this one was stuck to the tree. Close to 2 feet in length with dark green skin this beast was like a centipede with hundreds of legs and a wavy pattern of white color on its body, it was a little creepy. Max was keeping his eye on the beast from a distance to see what it will do before making his move Max wanted to be sure that no other beast is nearby.

"I don't know whether this is a Basic-tier or Advance-tier, so I have to be careful." Just like yesterday Max thought of using the same way to attack the beast, using Dimensional Travel to appear near it and kill it with a single strike. While also keeping in mind that it can be a higher-tier beast Max was ready to use the skill to run away.

Getting ready to attack, Max had taken out his new sword and was holding it tightly. Seeing that the beast had not moved from its place Max decide to attack. Disappearing in the crack Max appeared behind the beast but before Max sword had touched the beast, it moved upwards on the tree. Now Max was close to the beast he saw that the beast was stuck to the tree with its back, not its front cause' Max could see the beast's eyes now, which were staring at him angrily.

Max had backed off from the tree a little bit and the beast had jumped down from the tree, on the ground the beast's body wasn't even 10 inches in height. Its whole body was sticking to the ground and then the beast opened its eyes from the part that was like a head. Seeing that it had also eyes here Max was feeling creepy at the site of it.

"What the hell, how many eyes does this beast have?" Max thought. After getting on the ground the beast didn't waste any time in attacking Max it started crawling toward Max with its hundreds of small legs, seeing that it was coming to attack, Max clenched his sword and disappeared in front of the beast's eyes. Seeing that its prey had disappeared the beast was confused but in less than a second Max had appeared close to the beast and swung his sword but the beast avoids it with ease.

Realizing that he won't be able to attack the beast this way, Max was thinking of another way to attack the beast. "Now, I'm sure it's not a Basic-tier beast." Max was sure that this beast is of a higher-tier beast but didn't know the exact tier of the beast. Being cautious of the beast Max was avoiding its attack, not knowing the unique ability of the beast was a disadvantage to Max.

And to Max, it doesn't feel like the beast will going to use its ability on him. Trying to find a way to hit the beast, Max had gotten an idea. Luckily, he had brought his old sword with him, while dodging the attack from the beast, a crack appeared beside Max and he threw the sword into it, and the next moment the same sword appeared behind the beast to attack. Sensing the attack coming for him the beast dodged it on the side but unluckily for the beast, Max had appeared in the direction where the beast was dodging, and with all its power Max had stabbed his sword inside the beast.

The sword easily penetrated the beast's body and passing through its body the other part of the sword had got inside the ground, now Max new sword was holding the beast in the same location. Realizing that it had gotten stuck there the beast wanted to move but if it did the sword will split his body into two parts resulting in the death of the beast.

Max had picked up his old sword and now that the beast was not moving like before it won't be too hard to kill it now. Getting close to the beast Max started attacking the beast with his first strike it was clear that it going to take some time to kill the beast with his old sword cause' it was only making small scratches on the beast's body compared to his new sword which had easily penetrated the beast this sword was trash.

After some time, Max was able to kill the beast and read the system window, that it was an Advance-tier beast. Max was wondering why the beast didn't use his ability against him, looking at his body which was now lying dead on the ground, Max noticed that the eyes that were on his front are not there and only the eyes at his head were there.

"Was Switching eyes to any place his unique ability?" Max thought. Thinking about that, it was possible after all it's a different world and for this beast, it was a good ability. With his speed and reaction speed, those eyes were of greater use to the beast. Max was now realizing that whenever he was attacking the beast, its eyes had always been stuck to Max, no matter from where he appeared. "If I hadn't used the other sword as a distraction, I don't think I'll be able to touch the beast at all." Taking out the crystal from the beast's body, Max continued his search for the rock-like beast.

Searching for the beast was hard, Max was getting tired from this but he wanted to know what those beasts were really doing by eating normal grass that was of no use to the beast. Getting disappointed from not finding those beasts, Max heard something nearby. Trying to find the source of the sound, Max started going in the direction from where the sound was coming. After seeing what was the reason for those sounds, Max had gotten smile on his face. "At last."

In front of Max was the same beast that Max was looking for this whole time. Now concealing himself in the surroundings Max was looking at the beast to know why it was making that noise. With the rock skin-like creature there was also another beast, and with how those two beasts were making noises, Max thought that they are probably talking about something. But Max couldn't understand what they were talking about.

Not understanding a single thing Max was watching them carefully. After a minute both beasts stopped making that sound and walked in a different direction, to Max it felt like those two had made a deal of some kind but Max didn't know what the deal was.

Seeing that the Rock-skin beast was going somewhere, Max decided to follow it. The beast just continued to walk it didn't stop anywhere to eat the grass, it just continued where it was going. "Where is it going? Yesterday every single one of them was eating grass but this one hadn't stopped anywhere to eat grass for this long." Max was doubting himself that he might be mistaking this beast for them but the pattern of rock was the same as those beasts.

Hoping that it was the same kind of beast Max continued to follow it. After following it for nearly an hour the beast stopped near a small hole in the ground. Following this beast was a little hard for Max he had encountered some other beasts on his way but he had used Dimensional Travel to avoid them otherwise he would have lost this beast.

The beast was waiting near the hole, and after a couple of minutes, some small beasts come out from the hole. Seeing them Max realized that they were looking the same as the beast from earlier who was talking to this beast. "It's like the other beast had made a deal to do something to his children." Max thought while keeping an eye on the rock-skin beast.
