October 3rd 2013:

The first round of teasers has been released to the public for our debut. They are posters. Each poster is unique to the member in it. Sim Hyun-Shik is shown sitting on a throne. Kyu-Bong is shown as a hunter, about to shoot something with his bow. DongBang is shown standing in a forge, hammering something on an anvil. Akira is shown as an alchemist making a potion. Youngjae is shown as a politician giving a speech to a vast crowd. Hayashi is shown as a duke leading an army. They all have in common that they are holding a lit torch in one hand as they pose. My poster is a little different. It shows me sitting in what looks like a study, with a bookshelf full behind me. There is a photo on the shelf that shows me lighting a torch. I am currently holding a chess piece in my hand, smirking as I play around with a fireball in my other hand. On each poster is a small sentence at the bottom that reads 'The future begins now!' with a date in the corner: 31/01/14. That is the date of our debut. It is also the date of the Seolleal or the Chinese New year. We chose this date as it represents the beginning and a clean slate. Which in turn means that we are beginning, and we will be the ones to paint on the empty canvas first.

The teasers received a huge response from the public. Just from the post on our Instagram, revealing the debut album cover, I can tell it was well-recieved. [Image in paragraph comment!]

Everything was looking good. We had finished recording the songs and were now onto filming the M/Vs. We had six to film in three months, not to mention photoshoots, and trailer filming too. Our schedule was going to be full. We also had to start practicing for the debut concert which had been organised. We were going to perform in the olympic stadium alongside Got7 and 2pm who were making comebacks. The tickets had already sold out after 6 hours of being released. It was not revealed that we were debuting at the concert, it was completely due to Got7 and 2PM's popularity.

October 3rd 2013:

Somewhere in Seoul...

"OMG! girls, Vanguard just posted on their Instagram! Look at the teasers for their debut!"

"What!?!?! Look at DongBang, he has no shirt on!!!!!!"

"Hyun-Shik looks so good as a king, wow!"

"WTH! Chu Jin-Ho... What is this. I am saving this as my phone background!"

While this is going on, a girl is stood in the corner smiling.

'It's finally happening. I'm happy for him' She thinks as she likes and saves the post.

"Look guys. They just posted another photo!"

"Is that the Album Cover? It looks interesting"

At the same time somewhere else in Seoul a man is sat at a desk answering some emails when he receives a message from someone.

With that the man decides to give someone a call.

"Hello? Chu Du-Ho here!"

"Hello Du-Ho! It's me Choi Byeongyeol! It's been a while. How are you doing?"

"Byeongyeol?! Why are you calling me all of a sudden?"

"Well, firstly I just saw a photo of your nephew online after my daughter messaged me. It reminded me that I had your number so decided to call you and see how you were doing."

"Oh, Right?"

"I was wondering if you guys are going to be busy this weekend? I want to invite you guys out for dinner. How about it?"

"My wife and I are not busy. But I would have to check and see if Jin-Ho is free. He's been quite busy preparing for his debut."

"Excellent, let me know if he's free and I will let you guys know the time and place. I thought it would be a good idea to catch up and see how you guys are going. I'll bring my daughter with me too."

"That sounds great. I let you know!"

"Ok, see you soon then!"

"Bye!"

With that the call ends. The man chuckles, 'Hyuk-ssi, your son is still going, and becoming quite an impressive fellow' He thinks to himself as he starts to look up Chu Jin-Ho and see what he's been doing with himself.

Chu Jin-Ho POV 1 hr later:

We had just finished up for the day at the M/V shoot for our second song, WONDERLAND, when I received a call from my uncle.

"hello Uncle, What's up?"

"Jin-Ho, are you free at some point this weekend?"

"I'm pretty busy for most of the week, but I still made time to see you guys this Saturday, why?"

"Excellent. We got invited to have dinner with an old family friend, and they wanted to meet you. They haven;t seen you in quite a while."

"Oh Really? Who is it?"

"You'll see on Saturday" he says. I can hear the cogs turning in his head as he trys not to laugh. He loves leaving me in the dark like this.

"Ok then, I'll see you on Saturday then"

"Alright, take care!"

The call ends. I shake my head and chuckle. 'That man is quite the trickster' I think to myself as I head over to the van that will take me back to the dorm.

October 5th 2013:

I arrive at my Aunt and uncles house dressed up ready to go out. I knock on the door and it is opened by my aunt. "Ah, excellent you're here. We're ready to go!" She says as she steps out with my uncle. We then drive to the restaurant. We walk in the door and are led to one of the private dining rooms. We open the door and are greeted by two people. A man and a younger girl, about my age. "Ah, Du-Ho! You're here, welcome!" He says as he walks over and gives my uncle a hug. "Long time so see Byeongyeol, how are you?"

"I'm doing great!" he then turns to me.

"Ah, Jin-Ho, you're much taller than when I last saw you!" he states as he walks over and shakes my hand.

"Thankyou sir, it really has been a while hasn't it?" I say, smiling. As soon as my uncle said his name I knew who I was talking to, and the last remnants of my memories around him returned after seeing his face.

"Aish, don't call me sir. Uncle is fine. Me and your father were practically brothers" he states as he smiles at me.

"Oh, right. You remember my daughter Ye Won don't you?"

"Of course si, I mean Uncle" I say as I turn to face her smiling. I bow towards her. "Hello Ye Won, it's been quite a while hasn't it? Thanks for the birthday present by the way, you look nice tonight" I say smiling.

She blushes. "T Thank you, I It's good to see you again Jin-Ho" She says as she greets me in turn. It's slightly awkward but we get through it. She looks stunning too. Long brown hair and eyes, small facial features. She's wearing a cream and beige coloured dress and black boots. She gives off a warm and natural vibe. I feel the same thing as I did when I read the letter she wrote to me. Naustalgic, warm and calm. She reminds me of the cliff again.

The dinner goes on smoothly. We have a long conversation where Choi Byeongyeol apologises for not being able to go to my parents' funeral. I tell him that it was fine and there is not much that he could have done about it. I talk to Ye Won a bit. We talk about Italy, and what we have done since they returned back to Korea. I find out that she is a trainee at WM entertainment and is part of a group that has been slowly getting ready for a possible debut. Although she says that it will probably be in 2015 instead of 2014. I manage to get her phone number so we can stay in contact, I also promise byeongyeol that I will visit them again sometime if I get time.

After the dinner we leave the restaurant. I shake ByeongYeol's hand and hug Ye Won goodbye. I am picked up by Myeong mi-Kyong who takes me back to the dorm. "So, that your girlfriend?"

"No, an old childhood friend of mine" I tell him.

"ok" he smirks

"I'm serious Mi-Kyong!" I say

"ok, ok I get it" he says raising one hand.

I shake my head. I don't think I like her. But I definitely feel somewhat drawn to her. Everytime I interacted with her I just felt naustaligic and safe. It was strange, but I liked it. Maybe with time I might develop feelings for her. But right now It's just friends.
