Total Defeat

Almost all people already leave the mansion, but Georgina is still sitting on the floor with a withdrawn face. She heard all the people's criticism and pity towards her. Even if she tries not to listen, her senses automatically accepted everything without leaving a word behind. It's painful. She'd done nothing wrong, but they keep blaming her for everything and pushing all hate to her.

"G-Gina, get up. People are staring at you." Marga hurry to her side to help, but she slap her hand away and stand.

Her mother came with disappointment, but she look away in silence. There're too much emotion inside her now and if she dare to talk, it's a sure war. She'll go berserk. Besides, this woman is the root of everything.

Without warning, her mother slap her face hard and some people leaving stop for a moment in surprise. Georgina didn't give any reaction. Her eyes seem like dead. It didn't give a specific emotion rather a blank one. On the other side, Giovanni and Kiela saw what happened and give a variety of reaction. Kiela acts shock while Giovanni looks away, avoids looking in her direction.

The tension arises when she slaps her again on the opposite side and splashes a red wine on her face. Marga try to stop her Auntie, but she didn't budge, gives a warning look instead. Henrick's parents run down in a hurry to stop the fight.

"What did you do for him to act like that towards you? Are you desperate to rebel and embarrassed me in front of these people? You ungrateful, evil child, let's see what will you do this time." Her mother grin and was about to leave but she stop her, kneeling down with fear in eyes.

All people gasps but some whisper to each other while taking a picture. It didn't bother Georgina. All thoughts inside her head are to not let this woman do anything or harm anyone because of her. It's fine to embarrass herself, be a laughingstock of people or get pitied by anyone. As long as she'll not make any more damage to those people around her, it's fine to accept a total defeat.

A tear falls down through her eyes like a waterfall, hands tremble while shaking her head. Begs not to do anything or try to ruin someone else's life. Even Henrick's parents stop, look at the unexpected situation.

"G-Gina, stand up!" Marga said, while looking around.

"P-please... Please don't do something awful. I'm begging you to leave them alone, please..." She choked up between her sobs.

"You pitiful, evil child, don't touch my hand." She removes her hand from her grip with a furious gaze. "I told you before not to do unnecessary things, but you made him mad. Useless."

She bumps into her and continues to walk outside. Georgina knows more than anyone what her evil mother can do. Once she left this mansion, something terrible will happen. Her mother knows where Giovanni's parents stay and she has many ways to contact anyone from inside. In this kind of important situation, her mind can't think straight. It made her feel more frustrated.

All memories from what happened in the campsite came back one after another. Giovanni's tears, pain, and regret. Everything is still vivid. She clenches her fists, stands up and tries to stop her again. This time two men in black came to pull her away, but it's not the right time to give up or else she'll regret not doing anything again. She tries to resist and called out her name but she continue to walk.

"No... Let me go. Come back here, you evil witch, please... I'm begging you..."

"Gina let's go home for tod—"

She looks at Marga, and without thinking twice, she kneels, crying pretty hard. The men in black let go of her hand, feels sorry for what happened, but Marga is still in shock. Georgina holds her hand while trembling and heads bow down.

"G-Gina, stand up."

"P-please... Please help me... D-don't let her come to the hospital... I'm begging you, I'll do anything just please... P-Please stop hurting Van," she burst out crying.

The people who are still inside left dumbfounded because of her shameless action. Even Henrick's parents look at her with pity.

"Will you stop embarrassing yourself? Do you think begging someone will cause you any good? Well, you're wrong."

Marga flinches when a familiar voice of a man speaks beside her. It's Giovanni Javier.

"V-Van..."

"I transfer my parents to my relatives' hospital. Jin is there to watch for them while I'm gone. I don't need your help anymore, so stop embarrassing yourself for non-sense. Go home and reflect on what you have done." He said, but Georgina answer him with a sob. "Kiela, let's not waste our time here."

"V-Van." She grabs his wrist.

"Don't touch me with your filthy hands,"

Giovanni slaps her hands before they walk out of the mansion while the other leave shrugging their head in disbelief. The two men in black also leave along with others, but Georgina looks pitiful sitting on the ground while still crying like there's no tomorrow. She feels a total defeat towards her mother, Giovanni and anyone around. There's no one who wants to stay beside or listen to her.

"Gina, let's go home." Marga said, offering her hands, but she didn't take it, instead stand up and leave like a dead one. "Gina. Where are you going?"

"L-Leave me alone! Please..."

Marga didn't talk anymore or follow her. She just watch as her cousin leave with heavy steps.

***

It's past 12 o'clock in the midnight. After leaving the mansion Georgina wander somewhere without designated place to stop. She just walk and walks endlessly until her legs get tired. Her mind is blank, but the tears didn't stop. All she can feel is the tingling pain inside, particularly in her heart. There's a part of her that wants to give up and there's a part that still wants to try. Even if she chooses between the two, the result will be the same. It's an endless pain and regret.

She's now sitting on a bench beside the streetlight. In front of her is a newly built park and there's no one around. The thunder sound came in the middle of silence, but it didn't make her flinch. As the time passed, the huge raindrops fall from the sky. It came one after another and end up pouring down. Georgina get drench fast because of the heavy rain, but she didn't move an inch or try to find a place to avoid the rain. She let it fall, along with her tears. It's not only her legs are tired, she felt tired.

She wants to stop crying, but it's like an automatic waterfall. The rain helps her hide those tears. It's the reason she feels grateful than bad.

A few hours came, she didn't know what time is it was now. She lost track of it. The rain almost stops, the ground is wet and the wind blows hard. Even the street light flicker many times until the lights are off. The thunder sound came as well, as her surrounding become dark. Despite of the situation, she didn't show any reaction rather stare at nowhere as if she surrender everything in life.

After some time again, she didn't notice that the sun was already rising. There are some people comes in the area, jogging while others are walking their dog. Some of them are looking in her direction, whispering to each other.

"Hey, isn't it the woman in the video?" A woman asked her friend.

"Yeah, they look the same, even the dress and hair. She's a mess." They laugh and take a picture of her, but Georgina didn't move.

"Mom, why is she not moving? Is she dead?"

"Don't look at her, let's go."

The moment she realizes people keep coming, one after another, Georgina stands and walks somewhere without a designated place to stay. She walks and bump to every person walking on the opposite side but she never apologize rather they cursed at her or shout.

In the middle of walking, she felt dizzy. Her surroundings seem moving and her sight is getting blurred. But she didn't mind it. Continue to take a step forward on the roadside. After a few minutes, the dizziness got severe that made her stop and hold on the side rail. She touches her head as breathe become heavy.

A woman in her 30s notice it and come to asked, 'what's wrong?' Georgina didn't answer. She's about to take a step but her body couldn't make it. She passed out in front of the woman who luckily has a good reflexes to support her body. People comes by after seeing what happened but the woman asked someone to call an ambulance.

It takes a few minutes before an ambulance came in rescue.
