"Yes, but I wasn't using the mind arts on a poor destined to die scientist, and you were definitely skulking." The Ancient One said as she stares at Tom like a disappointed parent.
"Stop looking at me like that. It's not like I interrupted anything. The future will continue as you want it to. I just took a bit of information and watched the same show that you did." Tom defends himself.
"*sigh* What do you plan on doing with the information you took?" The Ancient One asks with a sigh.
"Usually I wouldn't tell you anything, but since you caught me I'll make an exception this time. I'm going to enhance my body with the super-soldier serum." Tom says plainly. "Though, that won't happen for a while as I don't understand any of the scientific jargon. I'll have to study muggle science before enhancing my body."
"You're already building up quite a bit of strength through magic. You attend two schools for it almost nonstop. Why do you need to enhance your body?" The Ancient One asks.
"Well, there's the real answer and the really real answer. Which would you prefer to hear?" Tom replies.
"Both, but start with the lesser of the reals." She answers as she starts crunching on potato chips once again.
"The real answer, as I've told you before, is that I have some future knowledge. Especially of the threats that the earth will face in the future. I would like to be fully prepared for when those threats come knocking." Tom says with a very serious expression.
"And the really real answer?" She nods her head and asks.
"I just think it would be cool to have the same powers as Captain America. I wonder if they would come in handy in the bedroom as well?" Tom says with a smile on his face.
"*sigh* Why did I have to take in such a maddening student." The Ancient One shakes her head and stands from the couch.
"You love me and you know it." Tom answers as she opened a portal back to Kamar-Taj.
The Ancient One replies with an annoyed grunt and leaves Tom alone in his hotel room. The only thing going through her mind is how her student must be going through puberty.
With the Ancient One gone, Tom meditated and entered his mind. When he arrived, he went straight for the laptop with his memories and sorted all of the information he received from Erskine's mind.
As he finished and exited his mind, Mimsy was there waiting with an eager expression.
"Master, we made sure everything happened as you said." Mimsy said with a happy smile.
"Good, were there any complications?" Tom asked.
"The blue vial didn't get destroyed so we had to break it ourselves." She replies with a proud smile.
"Good, no one saw you or anything, right?" Tom asked and Mimsy shook her head. "Were there any other complications, or was that it?"
"Nope, everything else went as master said it would!" She replied happily.
"Good job. I knew that I could count on you, Mimsy."
The second those words exited Tom's mouth, the little elf couldn't take it anymore and started squeeling in joy. She couldn't wait to tell all of the other elves how their master felt about their work.
"Mimsy, keep a team of elves watching Steve for the foreseeable future. I want weekly reports on what's going on in his life. If anything monumental happens, I want to be notified as soon as possible. Don't let the elves tire themselves out though. Put them on a rotation so some can rest while others survey, alright?" Tom says and Mimsy nods as she pops away to inform the other elves.
Now that Tom has taken the knowledge of the super-soldier serum, he can get back to his magical study's. He returns to Kamar-Taj and continues his eldritch weapon training. By the time the Christmas break ended, Tom had turned 15 years old. His birthday was celebrated by those close to him in Kamar-Taj as usual.
Before leaving, Tom had mastered the construction of his Eldritch great sword. The Ancient One told him to start trying to form some other weapons as well. With the mastery of forming the great sword, forming other weapons became a lot easier. It shouldn't take him long to be able to summon an arsenal of Eldritch weapons.
'Soon enough I'll be able to start working on project Gilgamesh. I'll be hurling weapons at people in no time.' Tom thought as he boarded the train back to Hogwarts.
One other thing that he finished during his time at Kamar-Taj is the mark for his followers. He managed to combine everything and make the perfect mark. The only thing to do now is to test it before placing it on his followers.
'It's a good thing that the Forbidden Forest is filled with test subjects. I'll just have to sneak out of the castle tonight and find some critters to run tests on.' Tom thought as he and Druella entered Hogwarts.
That night while everyone was asleep, Tom opened a portal leading outside the castle. He then made his way to the Forbidden Forest and started hunting for some animals on the outskirts. As he was searching, Tom found a few rabbits, Deer, Squirrels, and owls. He captured them using stunners and tested the mark on them. The results looked to be going well.
They didn't seem to be going through any pain. The invisibility function was working perfectly as he was able to hide the marks and make them appear with relative ease.
The telepathic communication function was working as well, but as the animals couldn't speak, all he received from them were feelings and emotions. Since he couldn't test the telepathy properly on these animals, Tom summoned a snake with a spell and used the mark on it. This wound up proving that the telepathy was working perfectly. He made sure to also test the distance, and no matter how far the snake went, he was always able to get a message through and receive one as well.
The only thing left to test was the lie detector function, which was easily done with the snake he summoned. Tom simply told it to tell him five truths and five lies. Every time the snake lied to him, Tom would feel his senses tingle slightly. It felt like what he imagined Spider-Man's spidey sense felt like, except for lies and not danger.
'Hmm, maybe I should find a way to give myself spidey senses. It would certainly help in future battles.' Tom thought as he finished his tests.
As Tom was about to start heading out of the Forest, he heard rustling in the bush to his left. He instantly drew his wand and turned to see what's near him.
As the bush ruffles around, a black cloak comes floating over the bush as if gliding on air. The cloak moves like a living shroud over the bush and along the forest floor. What was even more horrifying, was the direction it was gliding. It's moving straight for Tom and with every second it draws closer and closer.
