Chapter 6 Uagadou and Rings

Currently, in the mountains in Africa, where the moon shines most brilliantly, a group of people wearing clothes unbefitting of the shivering cold were shuffling around a terrace overlooking a large complex of stone Xhosas and large towers. These people were pacing back and forth waiting for something before turning to meet a man walking out of the house carved into the walls of the mountain.

"Headmaster Abdalla," one of them said while bowing.

"Please you don't have to bow to me, Babajide you are an honored graduate of this school" Abdalla laughed while also bowing a little.

"Headmaster It is complete".

"Good, hopefully, the pressure on us from all sides would finally end, and as I promised as a reward for all of your acts of heroism and bravery, you all will be able to enter the celestial pond for a week," Abdalla said while flicking his hand to the right of the terrace, to which the air cracked and revealed a stone pathway to where, it showed not.

It was only after another 20 minutes that the sphere of mirrors actually dissipated that Zhāng, Phoelaix, and Zhēnzhū could finally leave.

"So did you successfully name them?" Liu asked.

"Yep this one is Phoelaix and this one is Zhēnzhū''.

"Those are Good names, now we have to go and get your school supplies, especially a wand".

"Ok, uhh by the way where is dad?" Zhāng asked while looking around for him.

"He was called for an imperial court session".

"Really, He is an offici- no wait since when was China an imperial power".

"Haha, well publicly it's a communist power, but that was just something for the muggles to chew on, it's really the emperor that controls everything well now it's the imperial court due to his majesty becoming deathly sick as for your father he is the minister of defense," She said while walking up the stairs "Now get ready we will be going to the Mófǎ qū".

After both Liu and Zhāng got ready in more formal dress consisting of Blue and white gradient Hanfu, with the sash and lapels being a dark blue while the Hanfu was not only blue and white but also had embroidery around the lining, Zhāng how ever wore a less flashy black Tang suit with simple golden embroidery around the lining. They made their way to an inconspicuous wall facing the backyard and part of the garden.

"So what now Ma?" Zhāng asked while glancing at Liu "Say open sesame".

"No smart ass, this" Liu remarked while pulling out her wand and flicking it at the wall, which promptly started to deconstruct brick by brick revealing a bustling street with hundreds if not thousands, and that's not even considering the other young teenagers or young men.

In utter confusion, Zhāng walked to the side, and looked out a window which gave a view of what was on the other side of the wall before walking back to Liu's side "Magic is weird".

"Alright let's go".

"First we will go and get your ring," she said while walking down the busy street.

After a full 20 minutes of walking, they reached a large stone building that wasn't very tall, no more than three stories, but the width of not only the building but the massive stones and pillars that were used made the building look very large nonetheless.

Upon walking inside the building it was completely devoid of any walls and simply had dozens of people standing behind a white marble podium which made a stark contrast to the mostly black marble flooring that only had a few golden accents here and there.

Zhāng and Liu weren't the only people there either, each of the 'Cashiers' had at least a few dozen people, despite that it only took at max 10 minutes to reach the front of the line due to the speed of them giving each ring.

"What is your name and year?".

"Year 1, the name is Zhāng Huangdi Caesar" Liu interrupted before Zhāng could answer.

"Huangdi" the man behind the counter whispered into his wand before flicking it towards his front of the podium, to which a thin strip with hundreds of rings flew out of the podium and a golden ring with red rubies along the outside of the shank while the center stone which was a cut jade stone, inside the ring itself was golden inscriptions of which neither Liu nor Zhāng could read.

"Give me your hand," the man said while holding his hand in a give-me motion.

"Now hold on a Second, that's my wife's job" Zhāng joked.

"Just do it" Liu snapped.

"Fine" as he gave his right hand to the man, he put the ring on the middle finger, and as that was happening Zhāng noticed the fact that the ring was a few sizes too big but before he could say anything the ring shank shrank in size almost to the point of discomfort.

"This is a spatial ring, at Fenghuang you will learn how to use it, it is your only free one so don't lose it or break it as you won't be getting another free one, also you don't have to take it off as the skin below is cleaned by the ring similarly the ring can clean itself unless in extreme cases," the man said while looking at Zhāng and as soon as he was done he simply shooed them away.

"Alright, now that you have your ring we must go get your other school supplies like your horse, books, wand, and robes".

Eventually, they made it back to the point where they entered the district, to which they walked to a small stone brick shop that couldn't have been more than two people's arms span wide, at the top of the door was a stone slab with 'Chongqing Zhongshuge Bookstore' inscribed into it
