Buying a house

Edward Tonks sat opposite the boy, who had lost his parents and had no relatives. When Edward read the letter the boy had sent him, he felt sorry for him and didn't know how to help a muggle-born boy get his adult licence at eleven.

The current Ministry of Magic was corrupt to the core. Whether it was the light side or the dark side, they were all in it for their own gain. No one cared about the Muggle-born, the light side had raised the issue several times but had not insisted.

The reason they did this was only to get the support of the muggle-born politically. They also thought that there should be no muggle-borns in the wizard council. The old pure blood families should rule the wizard world. They all had their own bigoted views and the light side was included in them.

Edward Tonks, being muggle-born, was aware of all this, but he had no power. Although he married the daughter of the Black family, his marriage was not approved by the family and his wife was rejected from the family.

"Henry, I am so sorry for your loss. I can't imagine what you're going through, but unfortunately I can't help you with your adult licence. The best I can do is to arrange for Professor Flitwick to be your guardian, and I am sure he will be able to help you with that," Edward said.

Henry looked at the man across from him emotionlessly. He spoke mentally to Jarvis, "Jarvis, on confidentiality protocol, begin the orientation," Henry said.

"Mr Tonks, I am aware of my situation and what can be done. Although the option you have mentioned seems to be the only one, I am sure other solutions can be found," Henry said to Edward.

"I'm sure you know better than I do how corrupt the Ministry has become, and even though I'm new to the Wizarding world, my parents were orphans, so they always raised me with enough understanding to live on my own." said Henry.

Edward was shocked. The boy in front of him was offering him a bribe at the ministry. What Edward didn't realise was that he would normally accept Henry's request, even though such a thought was against his morals.

Jarvis was using legillimency to instantly organise Edward's opinions about his communication with Henry. Jarvis' process was rapidly depleting Henry's magic volume. Edward Tonks was no ordinary man. Not only because of his wife, he had above average skills and knowledge. Occlumency was not bad.

The secrecy protocol Henry set for Jarvis was very comprehensive. The part for legillimency was made by assuming that the target was a mind master. Although Henry's legillimency was almost natural, he was overconfident and unwilling to take risks.

Jarvis first emitted a very light legillimency field, thus reducing awareness, even if there was a perception of magic. Second, he concealed the targeted attack by breaking Henry's eye contact. This allowed Edward to focus on his emotions and on watching Henry.

To reach Edward's mind without triggering his mental defences, Jarvis turned the attack into a fragment of a memory and sent it to Edward's mind wall. In this way, his mind recognised it as an external memory, not an attack.

Since Edward was not alert, his mind automatically took the memory into his mind to organise it. After Jarvis entered the mind, he organised it, and Henry directed Edward by talking in the meantime. Through this joint attack and manipulation, Edward was being manipulated.

"I see what you mean, Henry, but you should know that the amount of galleons required for this process will not be small," Edward said.

"Because of my parents' life insurance, money is no longer a problem, Mr Tonks," Henry said with a bitter smile.

After talking a little more, Henry left the Leaky Cauldron. He had met Edward in this shabby old pub. Henry handed control back to Jarvis and entered the training simulation.

Jarvis moved away from the pub and materialised at home. He went back to work on the briefcase. The inside of the briefcase was already several hundred square metres, enough for short-term planning. Jarvis began to work on the organisation of the interior and protecting the briefcase.

Protecting the briefcase was very important. Most of Henry's assets would be stored here and the briefcase would be his home base. Jarvis did not yet have the knowledge to build a room like room of requirement. So he chose a design with a larger area. He prepared separate rooms for the training of the house elves, the dormitory where they would sleep, and separate rooms for eating and preparing food.

These were rooms that Henry would not use. For Henry, he designed a room for preparing potions, for magic and physical training, for the rituals he planned to perform, and finally for resting. Dividing the spaces was not too difficult. Although there were not enough materials, most rooms were furnished with what was in the bottomless bag.

The first room reached by entering the bag was the planning and resting base. It was about sixty square metres. There was a large round table in the room. There was a large world map on the wall behind the table. Henry was planning to plan his future here and entertain those who would be involved in these plans.

From the right side of the room, you could reach the parts belonging to the house elves. From the left side, you could reach the parts belonging to Henry. The designs were very simple. The only thing Henry cared about was functionality. He did not yet have the strength to enjoy life, and so could not tolerate any distraction to focus on his goals.

Jarvis continued the process furnishing the rooms. When he was done, he headed for the training room. Henry knew that once he had Jarvis, he didn't have to fight. Jarvis could take control and slaughter for him. Henry had trusted his mind too much before and died because of it. So he was more careful now.

Even though Jarvis was calculating every danger for him, life was unpredictable. Henry was therefore more focussed on his training. While Mark I and Jarvis could do everything else for him, he had to decide on reports and prepare for war.

Time passed quickly, and three days later, Edward contacted Henry. They met at the Leaky Cauldron and from there, Edward took them to the ministry. After the signatures and the expenditure of thirty thousand galleons, Henry was granted his adult licence.

He had asked for an extra week's leave from Hogwarts, informing Flitwick of the situation with Flitwick and his family, and Flitwick had responded favourably. After getting his adult licence, Henry visited Gringotts with Edward, took over the bank accounts and converted galleons. Henry's insurance payments to his family totalled £5 million. After the conversion, it amounted to over a million galleons.

Since he had this amount of galleons, a safe change was required. When the transactions in Gringotts were finished, they looked for a house with Edward and bought a standard two-storey house with magic wards. When they finished, Henry thanked Edward and paid his fee. Edward told him he could contact him when he needed him and left. After inspecting the inside of his new home, Henry travelled to his parents' house.

Waiting for him, there were Edd and Lucie. After Henry received a report from Edd, he sent him away and left the house with Lucie.
