Prologue

Long ago two factions of werewolves coexist harmoniously with one another. Much like humans, these people established a form of government. The Alpha as the highest and Omega being the bottom of the line. However unlike humans, these people help one another to survive.

One fateful night, when the moon was high, an unusual happened. It was in the clearing deep within the forest, a place that glows under the moonlight.

He was from the White Fang Clan, a clan known for their strength and nobility and the other was from the Elven Clan, a lineage known for their healing abilities.

It was the pull that brought them together to meet in that place. They were like tides pulled together by the moon.

He saw him in his all white wolf form, a rare wolf so to speak. And he saw him in his rather brutish wolf form, his eyes were fierce but filled with wisdom.

They fell in love. And it was a kind of love like no other. But their elders and the others were against their union. It was an abomination they say.

They were forcefully separated and to prevent them from seeing each other again, the elders of the two factions decided to cut the bond in between them and they separated their way.

The two lovers began to grow weak and before they died, they promised to come back when the time is right to fulfill their lost love.

...

I closed the book and sighed. "It was unfortunate. Why didn't they just let them be?" I yawned. This story is so bad.

I was ready to sleep when mother suddenly get inside. "Get up Allen, we're going." She hushed.

"Now?"

"Yes. Now get moving!" She said as if she is afraid that someone might hear her.

I really don't understand her. Ever since I grow conscious, my mother and I are constantly moving from place to place and it impedes me to go to school. Though my mother is teaching me some things, I really wanted to experience how school would feel.

I took my bag that contains all my things. It was all ready in case things like this will happen.

"Where are we heading?" I asked.

"Just follow me." She said and we went outside of the small abandoned house in the forest.

We were walking silently for hours now when

"Run Allen!" My mother shouted at me.

My whole body trembled as I saw the two wolves hurling towards us. I felt rooted to the ground as one of them attacked us. My mother immediately shifted into her wolf form and returned the attack. The black wolf fell to the ground yelping.

My mother turned and growled at me. She nuzzled me out. I knew she wants me to go. But I can't. I can't leave her alone. She's the only one I have.

"No. Mom. I'm not going to leave you." I said.

But then the two wolves attacked simultaneously and my mother gave all the strength that she could muster so that she could protect me.

She looked at me in the eyes.

"Allen, Run away child. Please." She said through telepathy and then she turned toward our attackers.

If I could just shift. But I can't. I'm just a frail wolf who reached 12 years with no idea of how to shift. All I know is to run.

I turned and took all my might to run away. And I was crying. Not because of the pain under my bare feet hitting upon rocks and, twigs and dried leaves but because I can't protect my mother.

I'm crying because there is no certainty that I could still see her again.

I ran fast even my eyes are blurry with tears until I stumbled upon something and my body gave in with no strength to move up.

I just curled to myself and sobbed then I saw somebody sat in front of me. His face gave assurance. And as he put his hand in my face, he uttered. "You're safe, son."

I drifted into blackness.
