How the Stars bring us Together

A story originally set within a castle of the Medieval Era, though it's like paradise on Earth(and in slight ruins), the Zodiacs find themselves caught up in trouble when Ophiuchus starts to stir it. They seem to part ways, although the God of Stars seems to think otherwise. The lot are soon sent to recreate their relationships in modern times, whether this plan seems to play or not is another matter... Having already been reincarnated into the thirteen respective Zodiac signs, you can imagine how confusing yet another time period would be. To most of them, at least. A cautionary reminder that this book shall contain some graphic, mature scenes. Viewer discretion is advised. There is also alot of profound language, such as swearing.

Chapter 15.

•Aquarius' POV•

"Witch! She's a witch!"

I woke up, gasping and holding my head. I hadn't remembered such a thing for ages.. Why now?

"Everything okay?" Sagittarius asked as he prodded the fire with a stick. I nodded, rubbing my temples.

"Have you been awake this entire time?" I asked, as I walked over. I sat beside him, staring at the fire.

"I couldn't sleep, so I decided to keep a watch over y'all." He glanced to me as I hugged my knees.

Capricorn and Aries were sleeping so well and easy, it was infuriating.

I decided to lay my back against Sagittarius, he seemed rather dumbfounded by the action, though he simply continued prodding the fire.

"Am I a witch?" I mumbled, half-expectant of an answer from him. He didn't answer, although I knew he heard. "Sagi.. Am I a witch?" I repeated a little louder.

"No.." He whispered under his breath.

I knew he was lying, just trying to spare my feelings. It annoyed me. "Tell me the truth." I demanded as I sat up and turned to him.

He glanced at me, with a sigh. "Witches.. Aren't all bad, you've proved as much." He made a light smile.

I laid back against him and folded my arms. "I was called a witch, a terrible witch back then." I whispered.

"Tell me about it.." He sighed.

"Hm. You sound like you'd rather share something?" I glanced up at him.

"How about we both share something?" He glanced down at me.

"You go first, I feel a little uneasy.." I admitted. He nodded.

•Sagittarius' past, when he was about ten-years-old•

"Shoot it better, Sammy!" My seventeen-year-old brother, Rio, shouted from the other side.

"Okay!" I giggled slightly as I took another arrow. I shot it straight, right at the middle of the target. "Bullseye!" I called, as my brother clapped.

We got home to our little hut soon enough, and we sat around the table. Our mother placed a pot in the middle, filled with broth. She took a ladel and began filling our wooden bowls.

"Thanks, mum!" I smiled, and began scoffing it down, despite it being boiling hot.

"Sam--" Our mother started, though I had already finished the bowl.

"It was so good! I'm going to go do some more shooting, I need to practice for the competition!" I said as I ran out before anyone could stop me.

I began shooting the arrows at the target before I heard a rustle in the bushes. I quickly turned over and readied another arrow.

A woman came out, collapsed.

"Witch! She's a witch, find her quickly!" Some people shouted, as I just stared at her. I quickly ran over and began dragging her.

As I made it into the hut, my mother looked over at me, her eyes widened slightly. "Why have you brought a girl in here?!"

"She's apparently a witch!" I smiled, seemingly not knowing what a witch was. My mother gasped as my brother shook his head.

"You can't bring witches in here! We-" She was cut off by a pounding on the door. I turned and opened it.

"Hiding the witch, are yer?!" One of the villagers shouted, while the many other villagers simply made grumbles and grunts of annoyance.

"I.. Erm.. No?" I smiled nervously, as they shoved past and grabbed the supposed witch. "Wait!"

The villagers looked at me in confusion. "She, uh.. She's my bestfriend! That's not the real witch... The witch went that way!" I pointed towards the woods.

The villagers looked amongst themself, before they stupidly fell for it and let her go.

After about twenty minutes of waiting, the girl grunted, stirring as she woke up slowly after. "Where am I..?"

"In my house. You better hope they don't come back and get us caught!" I said rather sternly for me, before I beamed again. "Do you know how to use a bow? They're this.." I showed her the bow I had on my back. "They shoot really well.." I continued to ramble on about them as she simply watched me talk on and on.

A few years later and we were basically inseparable. I found out her name was Avery and she was a year older than me.

We were out in the woods, I was practicing shooting, while Avery was making flower crowns for her and I.

My arrow landed a bullseye as always. It was getting boring, you know? Just being the best at it, and not having anything to learn.

I heard a scream, before I looked back and noticed a knight holding Avery.

"Wait! Stop!" I screamed, before he pulled her onto the horse and something hit the back of my head. I was then out cold.

I awoke to being tied to a stake, with Avery tied at the other side.

"For the witch and accomplice, we shall now burn them at the stake!" A man shouted, before flames errupted.

"I'm sorry I dragged you into this." Avery cried. I managed to grab her hand from the rope as I looked back at her.

"Avery, the moment I helped you escape those villagers to now was my own choice. I know you aren't a witch, you're an innocent, accused girl. Avery, I want you to know that.. I love you."

The flames then engulfed as, our screams were the only noises heard. Before I heard a small whisper. "Sammy, I love you too."

•The present•

I remained silent as Sagittarius finished his past. I felt my breath hitch as I slowly sat up and looked at him.

"Sagi, that was me." I finally said. He was just staring at the fire, unmoving before he nodded.

"I know." He said, as he looked at me.
