78th tower

Some speculate that a tower has a set amount of floors, as the number on the tower goes up. You might think so as well but towers aren't a game, it's a mysterious phenomenon yet to be uncovered. Some towers have 10 floors others 6 or maybe 4 but some go beyond that. 20 to 45 and the last one I participated in was a 100 and so I concluded something important. These towers will grow, and if they aren't dealt with earlier, then more floors will be added shortly after a failed attempt

Upon their arrival, these pair of mast and disciple were met with a bunch of monsters on the first floor

It returned to his body and he grabbed his greatsword from his inventory after he gained his mysterious class

[Transcender: Not much is known about this peculiar and unique class. Once this class is in effect the guardian will gain an otherworldly perception

(Otherworldly View) Passive: This allows the host to experience everything differently than he normally would. Things that are invisible to the naked eye will be opened, and languages unknown will be heard. Lastly, you'll gain insight into things beyond the reach of the norms who are blinded by what they perceive to be true

(Limiter Release) Passive: Power/Skills you thought were maxed out can grow even further

(Unbound) Passive: The guardian isn't tied to a single path, this passive boost the process of learning and increases proficiency

(Transcendent) 1st skill: The first and foremost skill inside this class, it allows the host to enter a (Transcendence) state. In this state, it allows the host's body to hold and awakened his innate power. By innate it meant the ability to access the guardian's full power which can't be accessed by any means

Cost: None, this skill has no such requirements. But if this skill were to be utilized when it is currently in its cooldown a penalty will be applied. Because this skill has no cooldown the penalty can't be disclosed to the host

'Apart from my first skill something is odd about my class... Limiter Release? That passive what does it meant, having the system is already a way to release one's limit. But I've never heard of a passive skill like this, it must be a bug or a mistake by the system. However, this one skill piqued my interest, Unbound. I'm not chained to limit myself to a single path, if I were to put that in play I can be anything~'

Outcome: Proficiency gauge increase has been quadrupled by the effects of the guardian's Skill mastery boost. The effects of Unbound multiply the effects of the first triggered skill by two. The progression rate of the proficiency gauge has been octupled]

He blocked their attacks with a swing of his sword and before he knew it he could feel his mastery increasing. The monsters were pushed back by his swing and he found himself surrounded by its group. Hundreds of hostile monsters are in his presence and he couldn't help but smile upon learning the results

Tower information:

Lower-rank cult followers: These monsters are a bunch of humanoid monsters from another realm. From their description alone anyone can guess they possess dark attribute skills. One of their skills has been recorded when the guardian has survived their playful tricks

[Shadow cloak]: This skill allows the caster to be completely engulfed by the surrounding shadows. In that state, it'll be harder for anyone to notice their presence. The darker the environment the better its effects, this is the reason why they dwell in the lowest level of the tower]

"Sword proficiency grade A? Hahaha, what wonderful news has entered my ears, normally it would've taken a lifetime. It was already a blessing that the system gave me a higher proficiency in my swordplay but now it's child's play. If this keeps on growing I might as well escape this place earlier than I'd predicted," The cult followers slowly disappear from his sight and he found himself stuck inside a void

This space was created by the monsters that lured him to their place and the shadows covered his exit. He couldn't see where he enter and there wasn't a flicker of light that could've been found. For the first floor, this scenario was something that even he couldn't have escaped. But with his abyssal sense, he could feel their presence hidden beneath the shadows

[Special ability: The Guardian has activated one of the skills within the thornerus bone structure

[Weapon creation]: By spending the host's mana he can create a weapon from his bone structure. The size will depend on how much mana has been consumed by this skills activation]

"Thornerus overgrowth," He focused his mana in his left palm, and seconds later his bones burst out of his body. Sharp and deadly spikes manifest from one root to another and form a don't similar to a vine with thorns. The area around him was overwhelmed by his acts and he could slowly smell the spilled blood of his enemies

'Some of them were able to avoid that attack, but its purpose wasn't to annihilate them in a single shot. Because of the bones, they can no longer move recklessly in my vicinity. Even a graze from these bones is sharp enough to sever their limbs. It's overkill that I have to waste a ton of mana but my situation forces me to do so. Even the first floor is already packed with these numbers and this is a downgraded version to match our levels,'

He let's loose and swings his greatsword and forms a slash, the monsters responded and they escaped. But he wasn't in the mood for a long-term fight not to mention that they might come across his disciple. He summons a single imp and it transforms Into that an abnormal after it's exposed from the shard of catastrophe

Their minds crumbled and their screams allows the abnormal to detect their location and fired its spells. Neon chooses to empower his feet and a surge of power wells up and supercharges his speed. With that paired with his newly increased proficiency, he performed a frontal strike. His footwork shows a great force and yet he doesn't release it to its fullest and he raises his sword. A horizontal slash concluded his actions and it tore apart both the shadows and blow away the nearby rubble

'It's a waste that I can't devour these corpses, the authority of the tower is currently in play and I can't defy it. This authority grants it full ownership of the carcasses that are left, these monsters are not dematerializing. It's a common fact that this is reality, no matter if these functions sound like they came from a video game. Enough about that, I need to find my thick-headed disciple, it seems that this tower only has 10 floors at best. Before he or I encountered anything problematic, it's better if we regrouped and move to the next floor,'

Once the system finalizes their achievements and he obtained every item they drop, Neon leaves the area. Even with his knowledge of his side and the body that he possesses something tells him it's not enough. They could leave anytime they wanted but if they do that egg might hatch and they'll face a horrific beast. Even with his worries, it's better to prolong their stay instead of going back to the forest where death awaits the two of them
