Visiting the new school

Not again….

Asher cursed, half asleep.

His mom and his only sister wouldn't let him sleep in peace.

This early, they had already started with random gossips that were particularly irritating to him.

It had almost become a routine for them.

Can't I just sleep in peace!!?

Asher yelled as he was fully wide awake.

His sudden shout startled his sixteen year old senior sister, Mila.

Mila was a fair, not as fair as him, but she was fair.

Mila suddenly flared up for no sensible reason.

Rude fool!!

That's the way to greet your elders first thing in the morning, right?!

Ah! Just then Asher remembered. He had left his blissful dream to come back to a harsh reality of his annoyingly over-domineering sister.

Asher was also dominant in nature, he rarely took an insult calmly.

And he was not going to take this particular insult lying down, especially not one from his sister.

Useless animal.

Asher muttered calmly and shortly.

Mila heard it. Her blood was instantly riled up and she felt a very strong urge to engage in violent fisticuffs.

Whatt!!!?

Are you speaking to your age mate!!?

Asher turned to the other side of the bed as he covered his ears with his pillow, blocking out any thing she wanted to say.

This infuriated Mila and she almost jumped on him, save for willow who intervened.

Asher was very much aware of Mila's intentions, but he didn't flick for even a second.

He was sure Mila couldn't beat him.

Mila! Behave yourself!

Willow suddenly shouted.

She found it ironical that her children didn't fear her again.

She was sitting right there in the room, but her two last children were about to get into a fight with each other.

None of them, paying her the slightest attention.

Asher spoke dreamily. Yeah…tell the mad dog, Mia.

Asher knew the perfect tone, Accent, speed and timing with which to deliver his insults so that they carried the best impact they could summon.

He usually delivered his insults so perfectly that one would hardly be able to resist the urge to beat him up.

It was hard to tell if Asher was strong, he had a very small size, but he always spoke fearlessly, as if he could pull any trick and beat anyone who dared him.

Did you hear him!!?

Mila thundered angrily.

Willow shouted at her.

Just Ignore!

The Stones were a family of eight. The family consisted of six kids and 2 parents.

Their father was currently not with them, he didn't move with his family two years ago, instead he stayed behind working.

The first son, Owen, was not with them too. Owen had recently graduated and he moved to the capital city where he lived with some friends.

The second son lived in the same city, but he lived alone in an estate.

The third son was a university student who was obsessed with music. Because of his schooling, he came and left.

So Asher was left alone with his mother, his annoying sister, and his quiet senior brother who could best be described as a slow poison.

Hey you!

Get up from there!

You're going to school today, remember?

Asher shook his body vigorously in violent frustration.

Why must it be today?!

He mused as he got up from the bed reluctantly.

Asher intentionally bumped into Mila who still stood at the same spot, Fuming.

—————-

Asher! Are you done!?

Mrs Willow shouted after Asher who was in his brother's room.

Almost!

Asher replied, shouting.

Asher took one last glance at the mirror, smiling satisfactorily. he looked as handsome as always.

Any girl who didn't like this face had issues.

Asher wondered how he came to be this handsome.

Actually, there was no ugly person in his family. His father was handsome and intelligent, his mother was very beautiful and a bit intelligent.

It was a perfect combo.

As they both walked to the school which wasn't far, willow tried to strike up a conversation with Asher.

Asher responded normally and made sure he didn't delve into any frivolous talks.

He knew how such conversations always ended.

Willow would usually say something he seemed foolish and irritating. Then he would respond in an annoyed manner. Then willow would start shouting at him for being a mannerless brat.

It honestly couldn't get more embarrassing to have a lady screaming at you as you walked the streets.

The registration process went smoothly. He was asked if he wanted to start immediately or if he would like to come the following day which was a Tuesday.

Asher knew that his holidays had come to an end so he decided to resume the following day, just planning to enjoy the last day of his holiday.

Alright then….Come by 12 noon to collect your school uniform.

The principal spoke in her slow, lukewarm manner.

It might be so bad after all…Asher thought to himself as he trudged out of the school.

Asher was alone in his house. His mom had gone to work and his sister had gone for lessons.

Asher mused as he glanced through one his mom's holy books.

He found them unbelievable, but he couldn't even dare to think of them in a bad manner, To avoid God's wrath falling on him(something he would never seem to mind again).

Asher found one of the books very ironically. The author of the book was a miracle worker and wrote of how she healed millions through the grace of god.

Only for Asher to hear later that she was dead. She died because of a heart disease, she died on a surgery table.

It's almost twelve…I better get going. Asher thought as he started walking to the pilgrims college, but this proved to be his major undoing.

He should have gone later.
