Alicia

Is it Alicia? Asher asked, very much holding in his laughter.

Seeing the way Dave and Darlington stood beside him like people that were consoling someone who just lost a loved one, Asher knew that Divine had lost something. He had lost his heart, again.

Alicia was a tall girl, very much taller than both Asher and Divine.

She had hit her teeth on a pole when she was younger and that resulted in the broken middle teeth that she now carried.

Alicia had big lips, which Asher very much hated.

She had a sister in Lily's class which was incidentally named 'Divne'

Her sister was a short and fat girl who was so obsessed with her girlish antics that she walked like a constipating cat.

Her fat body had earned her the nickname, round about.

Darlington nodded amidst muffled laughter. Yes, she..rejected..him.

Divine bit his lower lip. The worst part of it all is that she ignored me...

Seeing Divine finally speak in such a sour manner, the finally let their laughter loose.

Asher, Dave and Darlington laughed so hilariously at Divine.

Seeing his friends laugh at him in such a manner, Divine couldn't help but join in the laughter.

Thinking on it again, Asher was confused. How? How did you know she rejected you, if she ignored you?

Asher was making gestured with his hands, as if he was weighing the realism of the situation.

Divine touched his nose as he spoke. Once I finished speaking with her, She sent her friend to break the awful news to me.

She said she didn't like me and the best we could do was remain friends.

I see....

Asher was short of words.

Two new students were introduced after Joel came. One was a girl named Jessica and the other was also a girl, she was named Sinai.

Jessica was a short and stern girl about Asher's height. She had a chocolate brown complexion but she was undeniably pretty.

Jessica was quiet and didn't speak much, but the jovial and always-talking Asher was sure to draw her out of her shell.

A little time had passed and Jessica was no longer the extremely quiet girl she used to be, even though she was still a quiet person.

Divine and Asher were having a play fight in the commercial class when jessica walked in. She was their new classmate.

She stared straight at Divine.

I just spoke with Alicia...

Divine's shoulders slumped at the mention of Alicia's name.

Divine, Alicia and Jessica were all science students and they got along with each other.

Jessica continued after a brief pause.

I just spoke with Alicia and she said that...She could laugh and be friends be you, but the moment you talked about your feelings to her she was bound to break your heart.

Jessica watched Divine for a while, waiting for him to say something. When she didn't hear anything from the boy, she turned around and left.

Jessica walked with a swag, she had a gap teeth that was mostly visible whe she smiled. Jessica was a very pretty girl.

Speaking of pretty, there was the class captain. She was short, Asher's height precisely.

She certainly ranked in the top ten most pretty girls in the school, if not in the enire area.

Asher was annoyed by what he just heard.

What did she mean by that!?

Ahh!

Divine let out a muffled cry and jumped on Asher's body.

Asher laughed as Divine pretended to be crying.

But deep down, they both knew that that was what Divine felt lie doing; to cry uncontrollably.

Divine and Asher sat there for a while, talking.

Asher suddenly caught sight of Lily outside the school. He was surprised. How did she get outside during school hours?

Divine checked the wristwatch he possessed. He exclaimed as he saw the time.

School has dismissed!

Asher and Divine quickly made their way out of the class.

They had been so engrossed in their chat that they didn't notice when the bell was rung.

A long time passed without anything really happening between Asher and Lily. He had never really manned up to her.

Asher had gotten a few chances to speak with her, and he did.

Just not the type he wished to tell her.
