CHAPTER -23

After finishing their lunch,Yongi took Taehyung and Jungkook to meet Shi YuiJu's sister.

Shi YuiJu's sister lived in a small house outside Daegu city.

It took them thirty minutes of drive to pull over the garden of a small wooden house.

"Yes?" A beautiful woman in her early thirties opened the door when Yongi knocked.

The woman had a height of about 5feet and 2inches. Her short black hair was tied in a ponytail.She was wearing a marron shirt with white polo pants. Her light grey eyes were watching her sudden visitors with alert and curiosity.

"I'm Min Yongi from Seoul police department. Can I talk to Ms.Shi Juijun?" Yongi asked politely showing his ID.

The woman looked at the ID,then stepped aside from the door.

"Please, come in," the lady said.

Three of them entered the room.

The room was really cozy with only a couch and small TV with big windows.

"Sit down," the lady said smiling.

Three of them sat down on the couch.

"I'm Shi JuiJun. Can you tell me why are you looking for me?" Shi Juijun asked.

"We wanted to talk about Shi YuiJu," Yongi said.

"What do you want to ask?" Shi Juijun asked sighing.

"We heard you're not very close to Shi YuiJu but still he left his daughter in your care," Yongi said calmly.

"Well, we're not really lovely pair of twin,are we?" Shi JuiJun said smiling.

"They're twin," Jungkook thought.

He didn't know that and couldn't possibly tell from watching both of them.

"My brother was the star of the family while I was the black sheep of the family," Shi Juijun started.

"I was so surprised when my brother contracted me after four years," Shi Juijun added.

Three of them waited for her to continue.

"We didn't talk after our parents death. My parents didn't like me that much. I moved out of home just after high school. They stayed with my brother," Shi Juijun continued.

"Then,why did he leave his daughter to you?" Jungkook asked.

"Maybe because I'm the only family he has. They say blood is thicker than water, right?" Shi Juijun said.

"My parents wanted me to study business management so I could help in the family business as my brother had already decided to be a doctor but I wanted to be a writer.So I had a huge fight with my parents. My brother supported my parents.To him family blood was very important. My parents told me that they wouldn't support me to go college and wouldn't give me any fiancial help so I moved out of the house," Ms.Shi said.

Jungkook noticed the sadness in her eyes.

"Five years ago,my father was sick that's when I went to meet my family after seven years.

Maybe my father felt guilty for outcasting me. I don't know. Then after three months my mother followed my father. Then after four years my brother came to visit me," Ms.Shi said.

"He said he wanted to take care his daughter. You see I'm Asexual. I can't have kids so I was happy to take care of my niece. But I didn't know why my brother wanted it," Ms.Shi said.

"Did he tell you the reason?" Yongi asked.

"He said he would go out of the country," Ms.Shi said.

"You believed him?" Jungkook asked.

"I did. Then after few months,the police came to find me," Ms.Shi said sighing.

"You knew about the properties or your guardianship of your niece?" Yongi asked.

"No. Last time I met my mother she said all of their properties were given to my brother," Ms.Shi said.

"Ms.Shu,did you know if your brother had any homosexual interest?" Jungkook asked.

"What?" Ms.Shu asked in disbelief.

Jungkook could see the genuine surprise in her face.

"My brother was really conservative. He got married early," Ms.Shu said shaking her head.

"Again,I wasn't that close to my brother," Ms.Shu added with a little sigh again.

"Auntie," a cute little voice called before Yongi could ask anything.

They saw a five years old little girl running to Ms.Shu.

Ms.Shu smiled and hugged the girl.

"This is my niece,Grace," Ms.Shu said.

"She's mixed," Yongi said.

"Yes.My sister-in-law was British," Ms.Shu said smiling for the first time during their interview.

"My brother didn't want Grace to go to England," Ms.Shu said.

"Excuse me," Yongi said as his phone ringed and he walked away a little from the group.

Jungkook noticed the little girl staring at Taehyung's face.

"You're very handsome,"the little girl said watching Taehyung's face in fascination.

"Oh,thank you. You're very cute too," Taehyung said bowing a little to the little girl.

This made the little girl giggle.

"Will you marry me, please?" She said holding her hands towards Taehyung.

Jungkook couldn't help it and burst out laughing loudly.

"I would love to but you know I already have a wife,"Taehyung said giving Jungkook a little wink.

Jungkook choked on his laugh and started coughing this time.

"Oh,bummer,"said the little girl.

"Hyung,bad news. We found another body," Jimin said over the phone as soon as Yongi connected the call.

"ok. We'll leave quickly," Yongi said.

"Let's go," Yongi said to Taehyung and Jungkook.

They bid Ms.Shu goodbye and left hurriedly.

Another body was found.

Another life was lost.
