Eve had been to wrapped up in her escape plans to notice what was going on outside the mansion.
Right outside the mansion, there were many fae warriors. Most of them had their hands glowing magically. Were they casting a spell or something? Eve wondered.
Just when she could be lost in that thought, she heard another knock.
"Open your window." A fraustrated Andrew said. He was holding on to a pillar close to her window.
Eve complied quickly. Her ticket to escape all this chaos about to happen was just outside her window. When Andrew entered her room, Eve realized how huge Andrew was compared to her room.
Eve's room was an entire suite with lounge area, her bedroom, a walk in closet and all. But Andrew in it made it look like some little toy house. How did she not notice this the other night when he slept in her room?
Andrew walked tentatively towards her. He was wearing a simple T-shirt with a pair of jeans trousers. Though his black hair looked unruly, he was prepared to leave the mansion with his mistress before the impending war happen. What he could not understand was why his mistress had not packed up her things. Was she planning to wear that sundress in the cold?
"Wha.... what? Why are you looking at me like that?" Eve did not understand why he was glaring at her. Since he entered her room, he looked like he was in a foul mood.
"Why are you not ready?" Andrew asked Eve. As he walked towards her, Eve unconsciously took a step back.
"I'm ready. We can go like this. Is Faeland not all rainbows and sunshine? "
Eve asked with a nervous smile.
"Shhh!" with his index finger to his lips, Andrew whispered. Eve was caught of guard but decided to comply.
Andrew stared at the door behind Eve. He could hear the Queen Witch talking to a guard not too far from Eve's room.
Grandma Martha had left her study. She was worried about Eve's security. So, she had come to make sure the security was tight and her granddaughter was safe.
After talking to the guards, she decided to check in on Eve. Leaving the guards, she walked ahead to where Eve's room was.
"Eve." She called out after knocking on the door. But no one answered. She would have left if there was not a bunch of fae warriors trying to kill her granddaughter that night.
Taking the master key that she always carried along with her, Grandma Martha unlocked the door. While she entered, she hoped to see her granddaughter asleep. At least, that would explain why she didn't answer. But as she checked the room, she realized in horror that her granddaughter was not in there.
Hastily, she checked the lounge area, the closet, the bathroom. She checked everywhere for her.
"No.." Grandma Martha whispered in anxiety. Did the Fae already find a way to kidnap her granddaughter? But the shield was still active. The only feasible way to enter and leave would be using a mirror portal.
Grandma Martha had made sure that there was no mirror in the mansion. So, how did they get to her granddaughter?
"Alex!" She summoned him as she walked out of the room.
