The Bathhouse Routine
Damien withdrew his hand, though he thought he caught a fleeting moment of disappointment in Leonide's expression. Was it just his imagination?
"Next!" Lysander, another servant, raised his hand eagerly, clearly inspired by the scene.
Damien sighed inwardly. Where had all their earlier calm, competent demeanor gone?
Damien actually found the current situation easier to handle compared to the stiff formalities he had expected.
"Yes, Lysander?" he said.
Lysander stepped forward and suggested, "Since the bath might be longer because of the massage, I'm concerned about dehydration. I think it's important to hydrate before the massage."
Damien nodded thoughtfully. Staying hydrated during long baths was definitely important, though he wondered if it would really be necessary to bathe for that long in the first place.
