Growing up and escaping.

Growing up in the 50 was absolute shit but at the same time it was great. Tvs were just starting to spread to every common household. However it was mostly political stuff that was on. We were allowed a lot of freedom even though we are kids. We played outside a lot. Schooling was some of the easiest stuff ever since I'd already went to college. I kept my grades pretty good but made sure not to go too overboard as I didn't want attention brought on me.

I was a nice looking kid at the age of 5 sandy blonde hair. Blue eyes. Smart and I was kind and quiet. I avoided potential adoptions as hard as I could though usually by hiding. I didn't really fit in with the other children considering I'm an adult from a completely different time. They were all excited about war toys and playing baseball. I was from an era of gameboys, smartphone, and playstations. Plastic toy soldiers and baseball didn't interest me at all. What interested me the most was magic! I was in a world where wizards existed but I was trapped at this moment in a muggle orphanage.

I had zero money. Zero ways to transport myself anywhere and I was watched like a hawk by the matrons who were pretty good at their jobs.

Most of the time we had little spending money which was from the matrons who got donations yearly most of the time at Christmas. We didn't get much though as prices in this time are insanely low.

However I knew my chance was coming. I was currently 8 years old at this point in time and knew that the matrons would be taking us out to go clothes shopping. Over the years I had relived every single moment in my life over and over again. This let me read the Harry Potter books over and over for ever single small detail.

I knew for a fact that the leaky cauldron was on charing cross road in London. Macy's where we would go shopping was close by this area. Over the years I had snuck into the matrons office and stolen my paperwork forms and identification. I had them safely stored in my inventory.

I probably had like 30 pounds of cash saved up.

The matrons loaded us all onto the bus which would be taking us to the mall. While everyone was getting off in the busy area I quickly slipped off when the matrons where distracted and started running at full sprint. I knew the direction it was only a few blocks away all I had to do was reach the building and I'd be good to go.

My shoes slapped against the pavement as my heart thudded in my chest in a mixture of both excitement and anticipation. Up ahead I could see it. The black cauldron sign just hanging there and people in robes sliding in and out of the front door.

Slowing down to catch my breath I decided the next step of my plan. I waited for a person with a couple of children to enter and then I slid in behind them close enough that others wouldn't notice I wasn't part of the group but far enough away that the family also wouldn't notice.

I had to fight down my awe at the well known pub which was filled to the brim with wizards and witches eating and drinking. I calmly followed the family to a back room where there was a brick wall. The mother tapped on one of the old bricks and the whole wall started to move by itself I had to kick my occulmency into full gear to not squeal in delight as the wonderful place that was diagon alley started to appear before my very eyes.

I wish I could look at everything and browse ever store this instant but that can't happen since I need to do some other stuff first. The family ahead of me quickly walks into the alley and I hurry behind them then cut away from them. I make my way straight towards the biggest building.

Gringotts.

I stop for a second before the massive beautiful building and admire the armed goblin guards and the golden warning plaque which I've read too many times in my memories to really care about. I quickly make my way inside before I draw any more attention to myself.

Inside is shiny marble floors and beautiful candelabras shining light down on the witches and wizards taking out money or depositing money.

On the high up desks are goblins counting coins or going over books and talking with wizards. I quickly make my way to one who had just opened up.

"Good evening master teller I wish to take and inheritance test." I speak up in my childish voice making the goblin look at me.

"Good evening youngling. That can be arranged I do hope you have the fees though?" The goblin asks clicking his quill off the desk.

I pull out my wad of neatly bound money and pass it over towards him. He counts it quickly.

"This is enough I'll have a goblin escort you to one of the testing rooms." He ring a bell and another goblin quickly runs up.

"Stonetooth. Escort this youngling to inheritance testing." The teller says and quickly gets back to work.

"Follow along youngling." The new goblin grunts out before quickly walking away with me hot on his heels.

We come to a neat looking room and he directs me to a chair. He then leaves and a few seconds later a new goblin comes in. "It's been a while since I've had to do an inheritance test." He grunts setting a sharp knife and bowl on the table along with a magical quill and parchment.

"Well lad lets get this over with time is money after all." He says holding out his gnarled clawed hands.

I hold my hand out and he grabs it with one hand before picking up the silver knife and quickly sliding it across my palm. There's a burning sting and he holds my hand over the stone bowl pouring blood into it. He quickly dips the quill into the blood chanting some words and then sets it onto the parchment where it quickly begins to scrawl out letters. His eyes widen in shock reading just the first name. Heir of Wyllt.
