Chapter 6 – I will place a bet on green

"Wow!!! What a lively place," Huizhong exclaimed in amazement.

The inside of the betting shop was a huge plane, divided into multiple sections, roulette section, dice section, card section, jackpot section, and sports betting section.

Each section was filled up with three types of people, those that were happy, those that were sad, and those that were filled with anticipation.

There is a stone-faced muscular man dressed in a black suit and a beautiful woman who's barely dressed in each section.

There were a few CCTV cameras mounted on each angle of the wide ceiling.

"Isn't this place a little too huge for a casino house?" Li Yu thought in wonder as he looked around the huge hall in amazement.

Li Yu had never visited a casino house before in his past life, so everything he saw astonished him.

"Your mother! I won!! I won for the first time in like forever!!!" An old man suddenly cried out in joy and began to run around inside the wide casino shop.

"I've been playing this for months now without winning a dime. I've won big today!!" The man continued shouting happily with tears falling from his eyes.

"Congratulations old man."

"Old man, you can finally go meet your wife happily without fear tonight."

Everybody in the shop had already stopped what they were doing at that moment, they began congratulating the old man that just won happily without any form of hypocrisy.

"Old man, how much did you win?"

Someone suddenly asked the question that was on everybody's mind.

"Hahaha, I your father, I won $1000, and I only staked $10." The old man that had finally calmed down said proudly.

The crowd was shocked when they heard what the old man said.

"Damn!! That's a hundred times reward."

"What a dog's shit luck."

"What if he had staked $100 or $1000."

Some people thought with envy.

"Old man, are you still going to play?"

"What sort of stupid question was that, do I still dare risk the money?! Of cause no, I'm going now, buy" The old man immediately disappeared after he said that.

"Hahaha, what a scared old man." The crowd laughed mockingly and went back to what they were doing earlier.

"Li- Li Yu bro, let's also go win our own money quickly."

Huizhing was so excited at the moment, he felt as if this is the place he should have visited a long ago.

Zhalan was also smiling happily at the moment, not for what Huizhong said, but for the old man.

Shaking his head softly, Li Yu lead the way to the roulette section.

There were two roulette tables which were both surrounded by people shouting 'Stop!' animatedly over and over again.

Li Yu chooses the one that seems to have fewer people.

"Big bro, do you understand what they are doing?" Zhalan asked curiously when she saw the ball spinning on the round object that was filled with numbers.

"This is a roulette game, it uses a spinning wheel. It is a game spun one way and a ball sent the other way. People guess which number the ball would stop on and win if their guesses came to reality." Li Yu explained thoughtlessly.

"Hun, how do you know so much about the game?" The two, Zhalan and Huizhong asked in shock when they noticed how familiar Li Yu was with the roulette game.

"Wow, is this part of the memory I gained?"

Li Yu became excited when he realized he knew everything in the room, understanding their backgrounds and how they work.

"Don't tell me you've been here before."

Huizhong and Zhalan felt that it should be the most probable truth.

"What's in that brain of you two? Have you ever seen me visit a casino before?" Li Yi asked faking speechlessness. He couldn't explain that he had woken a memory related to the casino, right?

"Whatever Yu bro, just let's go make some money."

"Hold on for a while." Li Yu told Huizhong dismissively and focused on watching the roulette.

Li Yu decided to calm down first and not act rashly, or else he might lose his capital.

"It will stop on four." Li Yu's brain suddenly informed him as another spinning session was about to start.

Li Yu's heart began to pump fast in his heart due to fear.

Although he had not placed any bet, he knew that the result he got after the ball stopped would determine if this casino of a thing would work for him.

It felt like forever after the casino started before it start slowing down.

Li Yu was immediately disappointed when the ball finally stopped. The ball stopped on number three.

"F*ck, I win!!"

"Damn!! I can't believe I lose again."

People that placed a bet on number three or odd numbers became really excited and began to jubilate while those that placed their bet on other numbers began to get angry and saddened due to losing.

Li Yu felt like tears would fall from his eyes at any moment. He couldn't believe the cheat he thought would make him rich and take him, his parent, and friends from poverty would actually be a scam.

"Heavens, why?! I thought you've finally shown pity on me." Li you screamed in pain and torture inside his mind.

"Let's go home guys," Li Yu said darkly to Huizhong and Zhalan.

"What the problem Yu bro? We hadn't even played a game yet and we are leaving already?!"

"Big brother, what's the matter?! Why was your expression so dark?!"

"There is no problem, I just don't feel good anymore here."

Li Yu that came here expectantly turned and begin to leave in disappointment.

He had just taken a few steps back when he suddenly heard someone.

"Guys- guys, look- look, it seems the ball had changed its position.' Someone suddenly pointed out in disbelief.

"What the f*ck, how is that possible?!"

"This is crazy, did someone tamper with it?"

People began to voice their minds.

Li Yu turned hurriedly to look at the roulette and was immediately stunned speechlessly by what he saw.

Li Yu's mind suddenly went blank for a moment, the surprise was too much for him.

He couldn't believe it, the heaven does not actually play a trick on him, he was the one who was not patient enough.

"Big brother, why did you suddenly stop on your track?' Zhalan asked with a pouted mouth when she crashed heavily into Li Yu. She never expected Li Yu was going to suddenly stop on his track.

Zhaan's offended voiced snapped Li Yu out of the blankness he was in, he suddenly rushed to Zhalan and hugged her tightly.

Stunned, Zhalan's mind went blank for a few seconds before she realized what just happened.

She suddenly felt happiness, embarrassment, and some unknown feelings running through her mind.

"Big- big brother, what are you doing? We are in public now." Zhalan said shyly in a barely audible voice.

"What're you guys going? Ohh… I get it. You two had been going out together, but you both dared put me in darkness."

Huizhong said with a fake pained expression.

Realizing that he had overreacted again, Li Yu hurriedly separated himself from Guo Zhalan and looked at Huizhong in anger.

"Why do you always have dirty thoughts running through your mind?" Li Yu rebuked Huizhong angrily.

Looking apologetic at Zhalan, he rubbed her head gently; "I'm sorry," he apologized. But that apology got Zhalan disappointed.

Not noticing the disappointment Zhalan felt, Li Yu began to walk back to the roulette.

"Didn't you say you're no longer interested in staying here anymore?" Huizhing asked curiously, not understanding what was going on with Li Yu.

"I've changed my mind," Li Yu replied dismissively.

"Great…" Huizhong immediately felt excited when he heard Li Yu say he changed his mind.

Returning to the roulette table, Li Yu guessed a few more numbers inside his mind which all came through.

I should place my bet now, he thought.

"I will place a bet on the green," Li Yu suddenly shouted.

Immediately his voice sounded, everybody around him stopped whatever they were doing and turned to look at Li Yu in stunned.
