Chapter 5 – Guys, do you know any lottery shops in this area?

Li Yu rolled his eyes speechlessly at Huizhong.

"You're too dirty-minded." Gu Zhalan said irritatingly to Yuan Huizhong.

"I don't know what you're always thinking with that fish brain of yours." Li Yu also added.

Scratching his round and small head embarrassment, Huizhong defended himself.

"Aren't you the one weirdly looking at me."

"You know what let's just forget about it."

"Guys, should we go play outdoor?!"

"YES, bro!! Let's go play outside, staying indoors all day would be too boring."

Huizhong immediately became happy when he heard 'play outdoor'.

"No, no big brother, how can we play outdoor when you're only just getting better, have you forgotten you've just been discharged from the hospital?"

The only rationale one, Zhalan rebuked instantly.

Li Yu thought angrily but showed nothing on his face.

"If you agreed to let us go play outdoor, I will buy you that Barbie purse you've always wanted."

And true to what he had expected, Zhalan immediately had stars shining in her eyes when she heard Li Yu's promise.

"Do- do you mean what you just said?!"

Happiness rushed into Li Yu's brain when he saw the little girl picking up his bait.

"Would I joke with such a thing?!" Li Yu asked.

"Hai… Big brother is the best." Zhalan instantly became happy and she began to make plans on how she would show off HER bag to her friends the next day in her head.

Li Yu who had finally achieved his aim turned his head to look at Huizhong.

"Don't- don't tell me you would be using our savings to buy her the bag, please." Huizhong muttered quietly to Li Yu with a look that said; 'I would rather die than give in'.

"Who told you I would be using our savings?!" Li Yu rolled his head speechlessly.

Outside the house, Zhalan and Huizhong were currently following behind Li Yu.

"Where are we going, big brother?" Zhalan asked curiously.

"I don't know yet." Li Yu replied as a matter of fact.

"wait, what?! You don't know?!"

Zhalan and Huizhong were both stunned as they did not expect to follow behind someone that doesn't have a particular destination.

"Yep, I don't know." Li Yu replied.

"Guys, do you know any lottery or casino shop in this area?" Li Yu suddenly asked the two.

"Hun, why are you asking such a question?" Zhalan asked curiously.

"wait a moment, wait a moment. Don't tell me that's where you intended to go all along?" Huizhong suddenly answered the question, not wanting to believe what he said himself.

"Is that true big brother?"

"Yep, I wanna try my luck with the money mother gave me." Li Yu answered so naturally.

Huizhong suddenly had stars shining in his eyes as he began to do the calculation with his chubby fingers.

Huizhong who had already been blinded by the return of the money he's yet to win also began to beg.

Zhalan immediately got angry.

Zhalan shook her head in frustration and followed behind.

With a hard breath, Zhalan asked for the tenth time today."

"We are almost there." The fat Huizhong who was already sweating as a goat replied with almost all his strength, breathing like someone who had just finished running around the whole of China.

"That's what you've been saying since more than thirty minutes ago." Li Yu also replied while feeling an urgent need to get everything done and return home before his mum.

"Look, that's the place." Huizhong suddenly raised one of his chubby fingers and pointed.

Li Yu turned his head to look at the place Huizhong was pointing at.

It was a huge building that had a board hanging above its roof that read; "JJ lottery shop."

There were a lot of people going in and coming out of the shop at the moment.

"What a glamorous and huge building?!" Zhalan exclaimed.

"Yeah, it truly is." Li Yu added but felt otherwise when he remembered all the huge skyscrapers that would be built in the future.

"Let's go in," Huizhong said urgently as he couldn't wait to get his hand on the reward they would win.

Even though it was still daylight, there was still a huge queue at the entrance.

Li Yu and co also joined the queue….

After waiting for what felt like forever and almost giving up, it finally reached Li Yu and co.'s turn.

At the door of this building, two muscular men stood expressionlessly.

"Are you alone or together?" One muscular man asked Li Yu emotionlessly.

"We are together good sir." Li Yu replied, not scared at all by the man's huge and scary look.

"How old are you?" the same man asked Li Yu coldly when he noticed that Li Yu seemed to be the group leader.
