Summer sat on her bed with her phone pressed to her ear, waiting for Anita to answer. She twirled a strand of her blonde hair around her finger, nerves getting the best of her. After a few rings, Anita finally picked up.
"Hey girl, what's up?" Anita asked cheerfully.
"Hey, Anita," Summer said, her voice tinged with sadness. "I just needed someone to talk to. Xavier is still so cold to me."
Anita sighed on the other end of the line. "I'm sorry, Summer. That's tough. Have you tried talking to him about it?"
"Yes, but he just shuts me down every time. I don't know what to do," Summer replied, her voice cracking.
Anita thought for a moment before speaking again. "You know what, Summer? Maybe you should try getting another guy's attention. Make Xavier a little jealous. That might be the wake-up call he needs to realize how much he loves you."
Summer paused, considering Anita's words. "I don't know, Anita. That seems manipulative."
Anita laughed. "Hey, sometimes you have to play the game to win, you know? And I know you love Xavier. Maybe this will be the push he needs to come around."
Summer nodded, feeling a glimmer of hope. "Okay, perhaps you're right. Do you have any ideas?"
Anita chuckled. "Oh, I have plenty of ideas. Let's brainstorm some ways to make Xavier realize what he's missing out on."
Summer smiled, feeling grateful for her best friend's support. Possibly, there was a way to get Xavier to love her.
"So are you coming out tonight, let's go clubbing", Anita said. Summer, who is now in a better mood agreed," Sure babe I am coming out tonight to celebrate my freedom after two weeks of being stuck at home", Summer said." Okay, baby girl I will meet you up at our favorite club and remember to look hot "Anita said, then ended the call.
As Summer got ready for the club, she exuded a stunning, confident aura that made heads turn. She was dressed in a black mini-dress that hugged her curves perfectly, with a plunging neckline that showed off just enough cleavage. The dress was short, but not too short, and had a subtle slit up the side that revealed a hint of her toned legs. She wore black high heels that elongated her legs even further, making her appear taller and more statuesque.
Her hair was styled in loose waves that cascaded down her back, drawing attention to her glowing complexion and sparkling eyes. She had a subtle smoky eye and a pop of red lipstick that made her lips look fuller and more inviting.
Summer's body language was also oozing confidence and sex appeal. She held her head high, her back straight, and her hips swayed with each step she took. She radiated a sense of empowerment that was hard to ignore.
Furthermore, she was about to leave the house when Xavier stopped her. "Summer, where are you going to dress like this? "He asked." To the club", she replied." Go in and change if you want to leave this house", ", he commanded." And why do I have to change?" she fired back at him." You are married for crying out loud, or are you trying to attract men to your way?" Xavier said. "Am tired of trying to get you to love me, so yes!! I'm trying to attract men," Summer said, attempting to stop herself from crying." Okay, then suit yourself," Xavier said, then went to his room.
Summer went back to her room in tears, why can't he love me? She asked herself. She grabbed her phone and called Anita," Hey babes, am sorry I can't club tonight," she said then ended the call and cried herself to sleep.
