Chapter 47: Ritual of Resentment 9(Provocation)

[Headmaster's Office]

Dumbledore was looking through old books from the library in his office. Searching for something. Suddenly he heard fawkes was becoming restless.

Fawkes had spread out his wings and was shouting. His whole bod was on fire which was raging wildly.

Dumbledore walked towards fawkes, "What happened to you?"

Fawkes pointed its beak towards the forbidden forest while shouting.

Dumbledore looked towards the forbidden forest grimly.

'Didn't few people go to the forbidden forest to search for a lost student? Did something happen to them?'

Cedric wasn't able to see properly what the hell was going on in the middle of the thestral swarm. He tried to adjust the glasses but the most he was able to see was a big black smoke in the shape of a dragon.

"Liam we have to help the professors… they won't be able to handle this situation by themselves." Cedric said to Liam.

Liam looked towards the two professors. Snape was holding his wand pointing at the black dragon, Flitwick was also the same but his hold on the dragon was relatively weak and seemed like it would crumble any moment.

He looked towards the center, Michael (Arlo) was avoiding the black dragons attack. Even though being held down the big creature wasn't getting tired, instead it was trying to bite Michael whole.

The long neck of the creature made it possible for him to maneuver very flexibly. Michael was shouting while avoiding the creatures attempt to devour him.

"Obe$ M# Comma#$~"

"D%$'t tr% t* ea& me"

He was shouting so loud that even Liam was able to hear what he was saying. For some reason he was starting to understand what Michael was saying. And the amount he understood was becoming bigger and bigger every second.

Snape focus was totally on the holding down the creature. He didn't notice that Liam and Cedric still hadn't gone back to the castle.

Liam looked at Michael who was getting tired and was barely able to avoid the creature's attacks.

'If I don't save him now, then who knows what would happen. Even if he has been possessed that's still Michael's body.'

Liam looked towards Cedric.

Cedric looked at Liam he understood that Liam had something in his mind.

"So what's the plan…" Cedric asked with a serious expression.

The thestrals who had become restless were now running around in circle with Michael and the big creature in the middle. The circle was getting bigger and bigger as they ran out wards slowly.

"The creature doesn't seem to have complete control over the thestrals, but he is still able to make them run around. In a while they will run over the professors." Liam explained.

"Soo what should we do… I thought you had a plan" Cedric panicked and shouted.

"Well … kind of… But I don't know if it will work." Liam was unsure.

"Tell me, what's the plan?" Cedric asked.

Liam took a deep breath. The moment got very slow, he looked towards the big creature. A drop of sweat dropped ran down from his fore head to his chin. He was clearly very afraid. A horde of thestrals was running in circle blocking the way.

'Can I do this… ? Noo it's not a question of whether if I can or cannot do this I have no other choice.'

Cedric was looking towards Liam with anticipation.

"First we have to destroy the bracelet in his hands. I will get Michael to stop by getting the Creature's attention to myself you use a spell to destroy the bracelet. Then use 'That' spell on his head which will give me enough time to get Michael and get out of the circle. Hopefully the professors will be able to get us out of the situation as we get Michael out of the way."

Cedric was angry, "Wait… How will you get to Michael? And distract the creature."

But Before Liam could answer he was already running towards the running thestrals.

"THIS IDIOT!!"Cedric shouted.

He took a deep breath and started repeating.

"AIM for the bracelet and then the head,

AIM for the bracelet and then the head,

AIM for the bracelet and then the head…

Cedric looked at the running Liam, "He has a way to get past them right?... Right?" He was questioning everything while looking at Liam who was running towards the horde of thestrals.

Liam was getting near and nearer to the thestrals, 'It's now or never…'

"INCHOARE…" he shouted and jumped with all his strength.

His jump was very high which a normal person definitely couldn't do.

Liam was falling on the running hoard of thestrals, but before he could even touch the thestrals. He jumped mid-air with his shoes. Another long jump just enough to get him to the center.

Snape was looking at Liam, 'What is this idiot doing??'

Liam fell in the center scratch less.

The creature noticed Liam enter the center. It roared in anger.

'HUMAN YOU DARE CHALLENGE ME!!... ROAR~'

A loud shout rang.

"He can talk." Liam was dumbfounded.

'This isn't the time to get distracted… I have to save Michael.'

Liam quickly ran to the other side of Michael.

And started waving his hands open in the air.

"You Ugly Monster!! Come at me." Liam shouted provocatively.

"YOU DARE!!~"

The creature glared at Liam with killing intent.

Liam was very confident as he was out of the creature's range of attack.

Arlo was puzzled, 'What is he doing? Does he want to get himself killed…
