Chapter 46: Ritual of Resentment 8 (Dire Situation ).

Arlo heard the shout as well, he looked around to see who shouted.

It was Cedric, he was standing just in front few meters away from Arlo but he couldn't see him because Cedric was not able to see thestrals.

"CEDRIC WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE! I told you not to come here." Flitwick shouted loudly.

Arlo was in a hurry, Cedric was just a few meters away from him, a single mistake and Cedric may catch him. He started to crawl the other way.

Sound of two people running could be heard. Arlo quickly ordered the thestrals to surround his so that he wouldn't be seen.

Snape and Liam had just arrived there.

All of them were in the empty space in front of the small cave. Arlo in the middle surrounded by thestrals, he was surrounded by Cedric, Prof. Flitwick, Snape and Liam. He had only one way which didn't have anyone there but it was also blocked by the cave.

"The thestrals are swarming." Snape said in a low voice.

"Yes they are… maybe they are protecting Arlo. He is definitely in the middle of that swarm of thestrals." Liam theorized.

"CEDRIC USE THE GLASSES!!" Liam shouted towards Cedric.

Cedric had asked for Michaels glasses because he wanted to practice some complex transfiguration spells. He didn't know that those glasses had other features as well. He quickly took the glasses out of his pocket and wore them and started to adjust the glasses by rotating the ring on the frame.

He was now able to see the thestrals. Just as they became visible to him. The empty ground in front of him became filled with strange black bony creatures which made him take two steps back. He started to sweat a bit.

'So these are thestrals… they are truly fearsome creatures.'

With a swarm of creatures like them in front of him he felt very afraid, who wouldn't be afraid?

Arlo had no way out, he was truly trapped.

"I guess I have no choice but to call him, I wish he listens to me. If he doesn't then it would have been all for nothing."

"$#%@@^#^%@%@%$#^#^#" Arlo shouted.

Snape, Flitwick, Cedric and Liam all four heard a loud shout from the middle of the swarm but they couldn't understand what that shout was. It was basically like Harry hissing to a snake.

The swarm of thestrals started to move away from the center.

ROAR~

A huge roar sounded. The birds stopped chirping and the he air got heavier.

A large dragon like creature flew past the spot. It was the size of a bus. It had large bony wings and bulky body like an elephant. It had had two front claws and two sturdy back legs.

Only Snape and Liam saw the large creature fly above past them. Flitwick and Cedric just felt the shockwave of them flying above them.

Because of the long trees the creature was no longer visible but it was clear that he would fly back here. As they could feel the air get heavier again but this time it became even heavier than the last time.

"Professor, what was that?" Liam asked, wiping his sweat off from his face. This was the first time he truly felt scared of his life. He wasn't afraid of the trolls because he was fully prepare to face them and knew each and every one of their behavior pattern but the creature that just flew past them was something very new to him.

"#$#%^&^$^# Down &^%$e $#$Ut Of HeR%^$."

The shout rang again but this time he could understand some of it.

Snape was also looking in the sky with his wand in his hands tightly gripped. His face was also sweating a bit.

"We'll talk about it later… for now slowly go towards Cedric and take him back to the castle. Prof. Flitwick and I will handle this now." Snape said this grimly.

The thestrals around Arlo were getting restless.

ROAR~

The roar sounded again, the big black creature dived again but slower this time around.

Liam got a clear picture of him now, he was even more afraid of the creature now.

The creature started flying around the thestrals in circles which created air pressure on the ground. The dirt started flying around a little bit.

"Cedric we should go back inside the castle…" Liam shouted as he was avoiding the dust and dirt from getting into his eyes.

"But what about Michael…"

"There's a big black bony dragon flying around, how do you plan of saving Michael." Liam shouted in anger.

"What bony dragon?!" Cedric was confused.

Liam realized that Cedric was unable to see the big creature even with the glasses on.

The black creature flew closer and closer to the ground, Arlo who was sitting on the ground go up and stood straight he was clearly visible to Liam and Cedric.

The black creature was close to the ground as well he landed and roared while looking towards the sky.

The thestrals in the area kneeled as the creature in the middle spread its wings showing his dominance.

Flitwick had dirt in his eyes he tried to look at the boy in front of him but couldn't.

Arlo walked slowly towards the black creature, with his hands out.

The creature roared again clearly he was aggressive.

"Michael Nooo!!" Cedric shouted.

The creature swung his claw towards Michael (Arlo), trying to get hold of him. But before he could do that. Michael's body was pulled back by an unknown force.

It was Snape who used a spell to get Michael out of the claw's way. The other claw was swung towards Michael (Arlo).

But the claw was held back by some other force. The creature roared moving his tail aggressively because his claws were held and he couldn't move them.

The creature started to flap his wings which blew heavy air towards the two professors blinding them.

Snape held half of the creature's body while Flitwick held the other half of the creature's body.

They couldn't get near Michael because he was surrounded by thestrals. They were too busy handling the creature that they couldn't even attempt to save the boy. Even a slight distraction could make loose the creature and get the boy killed.
