Chapter 18: Girl with Fluffy hair causing trouble 1.

Cedric took out his wand and walked towards the lake shore, "Let me show you."

He waved his wand silently chanting the levitation spell on some pebbles. Liam was looking at the pebbles floating, "Knowing a spell is not everything you need to be able to use them. Levitation spell is the most basic spell. But you can use this spell in a fight as well."

Cedric pointed his wand at pebbles and chanted, "Waddiwasi" The pebbles shot like bullets and went through tree.

Liam finally understood what he needed to do, "Thank you Cedric this was very helpful. All I need to do is find how to use the spells I know."

Cedric nodded he was sure that Liam had understood him.

Weeks had passed by, Liam had already nearly perfectly learned how to use many simple spells. Now he was also able to use many spells at the same time one after the other. He still hadn't grasped the use of many spells but he was sure to be able to defeat the troll. He had been preparing to fight the troll for all this time formulating strategies to fight the troll. Creating combination of simple spells he knew and use them in combat.

In just few weeks, Liam grew so much that Cedric was very shocked. He was sure that Liam was a prodigy. Cedric didn't praise Liam much but Michael didn't care a bit and praised Liam.

Liam found that Quirrell was paying extra attention to him all this time. He was even following him sometimes, Liam found this very annoying but he didn't have the confidence to fight him nor did he want to tell Dumbledore anything, how could he explain, that Voldemort is stuck to quirrell's head without being asked many questions. He didn't want to be interrogated by Dumbledore.

Few days after the secret practice session started, He saw his former roommates who were bullying him, now afraid of himself. He was ready for a counter attack but he knew it wasn't necessary now as they didn't come to trouble him.

Liam visited the library searching for any information he could find on the Noble wizarding family. He hoped to find any clue on who his parents could be. But he couldn't find anything useful as the clues he had were very less. All he knew was that he is from a pure blood wizarding which may have some connection to Dumbledore. But as Dumbledore was a very social person he had connections to many pureblood families all over the world.

Liam had another lead which was the white lady at the lake he knew she wasn't a mermaid as he had seen mermaids in Harry potter. He was sure she may know something about him but no matter what he did he couldn't contact her.

After dinner he went to Snape's office every time he tried to ask something about his parents or about the potion he was drinking he would get kicked out of his office. He stopped asking those questions instead he started asking questions about potions which Snape answered with annoyance. Liam's knowledge in potions grew tremendously.

Liam tried making it so that Hermione isn't bullied but all his attempts were failure. Hermione didn't even listen to Liam. She didn't want to cause more problem to Liam. She was so focused to not cause any problem to Liam that she didn't notice that Liam wasn't being bullied anymore.

He used to eat at Hufflepuff house table with Michael and Cedric. And rarely interacted with anyone of the Slytherin house except Marie who would come to him every day in the library and just look at what Liam was doing.

Finally, Halloween was just a day away. Liam had his charms class. Prof. Flitwick was standing in a podium which was very tall so that he was able to look at the students better. His height wasn't a problem anymore.

"Today I am going to teach you how to cast the levitation charm, gently wave your wand and say 'Wingardium Leviosa'."

The little wizards started trying out the spell, "The spell is very simple you should be able to do it with ease."

Liam had already mastered the spell, he found out that to let the object to float on its own, instead of constantly guiding it where to float. If you give it a certain parameter where to float the object will float randomly in that parameter. He played around with the spell discovering many applications of the spell by himself. He was able to even modify the spell making it so that the levitating object can even levitate in a pattern. He learned to cast this spell on multiple objects at the same time, this was taught to him by Cedric. But even though he developed this much he still wasn't at a level where he could cast that spell silently.

He remembered Dumbledore was able to push harry back with just his hands when fighting with Voldemort, the title of 'Strongest Wizard' was a very well deserved.

Liam waved his wand "Wingardium Leviosa", making the feather float on his table, he started to control it to spin around and hop and dance.

Prof. Flitwick saw this and was very happy to see Liam cast the spell so wonderfully, "Well done Mr. Gremory, You have just earned your house 5 points."

Every little wizard in the class was shocked to see this. Their first impression of Liam was very bad as he wasn't able to even cast simple spells but now looking at his growth they were very envious.

Draco didn't look good as well, he mumbled in anger, "This mud blood." He looked very frustrated and annoyed but it looked like he was controlling his anger.

Hermione who was sitting close to Liam asked, "How did you do it?"

Liam looked at the girl with fluffy hair pouting besides him, "I just practised it more."

"Hmm… practice… I need to also start giving time to practise spells."

Ron started shaking his wand vigorously, "Wingardium leviosaar" Hermione was very annoyed by Ron's such behaviour, "Stop waving your wand so vigorously you might hurt someone. And it's not 'leviosaar' it's actually 'Leviosa' you were chanting wrong."

"If you are so are so good at it why don't you do it." Ron sneered, He was sick of being treated like an idiot by Hermione.

Hermione demonstrated how to do it, she waved her wand chanting, "Wingardium Leviosa" The spell was casted and the feather floated on the table, her control was not much good as she had to guide the feather in the air but it was good enough result much better than the others. As she was the second person after Liam who had perfectly cast the spell.

"Good Ms. Granger, Griffindor house earns 2 points." Prof. Flitwick didn't give the same amount of points as she was second person to be able cast the spell also her control was not as good as Liam so it was completely fair to not give her same amount of points.

After the class, the little wizards flocked out of the class. Liam also came out and started to look for Hermione who had rushed outside out pacing him. He looked around. The other students were saying very nasty stuff about her loudly, purposefully to make Hermione feel bad.

Liam saw Hermione who was holding back her tears and rushing somewhere, "Hermione wait!" Shouted Liam. But instead of waiting she fastened her passing by Ron who was also making fun of Hermione.

Liam also rushed behind her but wasn't able to catch up to her, he glared at Ron.

Ron couldn't understand what was the problem with Liam? But harry understood, "Ron next time you see Hermione you should apologize to her."

Ron with a hesitating expression said. "Fine!"

Liam had no time to waste he had to stop her from going to the girls bathroom if she entered then he wouldn't be able to go inside to bring her out nor does he know someone who would be able to convince her to come out.
