Bloody Mind

It's been a week since we've returned to castle Black and her highness refuses to leave her room and she refuses to eat luckily that doesn't affect her health.

Lord Black has tried to talk to her but she doesn't respond to him only when I speak to her does she reply.

I try spending as much time with her but I still need to help Tilly clean the castle as her highness ordered me to.

I notice her highness is growing thinner day by day even when I try feeding her some blood I acquired from a muggle hospital she refuses to drink it.

I am extremely worried.

I now stand before her room with another chalice of blood for her witch will probably be rejected like the last ones.

I knock to indicate that I'm entering.

As always I hear no response from the other side.

Pushing down the door handle I enter, quickly scanning the room I see Eleanor huddled in one corner shivering even though she has a blanket wrapped around herself.

Quickly placing the chalice down on a small dark mahogany table.

I rush over to her, my black dress accompanying my strides.

As I drop down in front of her I look into her scared traumatized eyes.

Reaching forward I hug her tightly, she tries pushing me away, but in her weekend state she couldn't, I lightly push her head into my shoulder "It's ok, it's ok, it's ok." I say while stroking her back slowly.

I notice that her hair is all dirty and all over the place.

After a few minutes of me hugging her, she stops struggling and just lights in my arms.

I remember when I was a child whenever I cried or felt depressed my mother would hug me and sing me a lullaby.

I had never really sung but it was worth a try, I open my mouth and sing.

"Hush, little baby don't say a word

Mama's gonna buy you a mocking bird

And if that mocking bird don't sing

Mama's gonna buy you a diamond ring

And if that diamond ring is brass

Mama's gonna buy you a looking glass…"

After a few minutes of repetitive singing, I notice that Eleanor had stopped moving for quite a bit.

I smile down at her and stroke her head. She was such a kind child and yet all this misfortune has befallen her.

Slowly picking her up I walk over to her large black oak canape bed and lie her on the soft mattress.

Tucking her under the blankets, I look at her disheveled face with dark eye shadow and greasy hair.

'It can't go on like this.' I thought to myself as I straighten up.

Silently exiting the room I sigh and quickly make my way to Lord Black's chambers.

As soon as I arrive in front of the double doors to his room I straighten out my dress and apron before knocking.

I hear Lord Black's gruff voice from behind the door "Enter" I slowly enter and bow.

"Lord Black," I say respectfully.

"Ah Victoria, how are you," he asked a smile on his slightly wrinkled face.

"Physically I feel very well, but emotionally." I chew on my lower lip in nervousness.

"I" sighing I continue "I worry for her highness, just this morning when I entered her room I found her huddled in the corner of her room scared out of her mind."

Lord Black's expression falls a long sigh escapes his lips "I don't think her staying here is doing her any good. She has to go outside to see the sun, I realize this isn't possible here so, as you are not under my service I cannot order you but I request you take her to the Black manor near Norwich."

I bow deeply "Thank you, Lord Black."

"It's nothing, just take care of her will you." he waving his hand.

"Of course Lord Black that is my duty," I say before excusing myself.
