17 Black Manor

Another week has passed since that incident and I have brought her highness here, to Norwich, specifically Black manor.

She has yet to recover but her condition seems to have improved.

The mental breakdowns have decreased immensely, only a week ago I used to find her on the floor either screaming or crying, that happened at least once a day.

But now the episodes have decreased to one every few days.

Luckily she hasn't neglected her blood intake and has been drinking it regularly.

Personally, I haven't fully adjusted to this new style of life.

Serving a vampire princess from the past isn't something I was expecting to do in my life but here I am serving the last Pendragon as her personal maid.

It is currently the fourteenth of august 1987.

I remember her highness telling me that she was invited by the Weazely family to visit their house during the summer.

If I recall correctly the summer holidays will end soon and the students will have to return to Hogwarts.

So with that, and the cup of tea I had with me, in mind, I made my way outside where I had brought her highness this morning.

As I pass by the lavatory I turn right and enter the ballroom through a pair of tall double doors.

The room was quite large with a solid dark oak floor and the walls were made of dark marble, decorated by silver linings.

Passing by the black grand piano and under the silver chandelier, I reached the glass double doors to the garden.

Opening them I looked over the terrace gardens with their boundless assortment of flowers and beyond that vast lush green meadow bordering the dark forest.

As I walk forward I see her highness sitting at the place I left her an hour earlier.

Overlooking the gardens she sat on a wooden reclining chair padded by interwoven wooden pieces.

As I walked over a gust of wind picked up making her highnesses red hair flutter around her.

Arriving next to her I bowed, placing the black tea on the small table on her right.

"Your Highness, here's your tea."

She slowly turned her head red hair still fluttering in the wind obscuring her view.

Reaching out she delicately bruised her hair out of the way revealing her crystalline mismatched eyes.

As the wind direction changed her hair was suddenly blown behind her highnesses back.

Her now fully revealed face reminded me of an angel. I might have seen it countless amount of times but my opinion never changed.

She was too good for this world.

"Your Highness, how are you feeling?", I asked tentatively.

A calm smile stretched itself across her face and when she spoke it sounded equivalent to the songbirds who sing for the arrival of a new day.

"I am perfectly fine, thank you."

Smiling back, I said, "Your Highness, if I remember correctly, you told me that the heir to house Weasley and his younger brother invited you to visit them during the summer."

Looking back across the gardens she closed and nodded "Yes, that is correct."

"Then, if I may, I would recommend your highness to stay here inside Black manor till you are fully recovered."

Reaching out she picked up the teacup and took a sip "Yes, I should, shouldn't I."

She breathed in deeply. "Very well, if you would, could you please bring me ink, pen, and paper."

I bowed "Of course your Highness, but before I forget a letter arrived earlier today." I reach into my pocket and pull out an envelope with a golden crest on it.

"Oh, and from whom is it?" her highness asked, rather interested

Leaning forward, I handed it to her "Gringotts, your highness."

"Thank you, you may leave." she said while opening the letter with one of her extremely sharp nails.

"I will return shortly with the items you requested."

Stepping away I headed back into the mansion.

Walking through the ballroom, I exit it into the corridor.

Turning left I quickly strode down it and entered the last room to my right.

Stepping into the study I walked around the large globe past the large mahogany table and straight to her highnesses desk.

Reaching over I grabbed a white sheet of paper with my left hand and took the pen and ink jar into the other.

Striding out of the study, I walked back down the corridor through the ballroom and onto the stone terrace.

Walking over to her highness I saw that she had finished reading the letter I gave her earlier.

Now standing by her side I noticed that she had her eyes closed and a relaxed expression on her face.

Smiling, I reach under the table and pull out a wooden board.

Which I then place on the table's surface.

Neatly organizing the writing equipment I gathered atop the wooden board.

I stepped away and retreated back into the manor to prepare her highness's lunch.

As I returned from the kitchen with a nice lamb fillet in one hand and a goblet of blood in the other I saw that the princess was writing something.

Moving closer I waited for her to finish.

It didn't take long till I saw her signing her name at the bottom of the page.

Turning to me she smiled, the light refracting off her eyes.

"Your highness, I brought you lunch." I said exceeding my arms slightly.

Placing her writing materials to one side she patted the wooden board.

"Thank you, please put it here."

Walking over to her I gently place the dish in front of her, the utensils to either side and the goblet on the table next to her.

I was about to step away when she spoke up, "Victoria, would you be so inclined to join me."

Smiling, I bowed, "I would love to." and walked over to stand beside her.

Turning her head, her highness looked at me confused, and then smiled, "I don't expect you to stand all the time, please get yourself a chair and sit down."

Nodding, I bowed and stepped away, "Thank you, your highness."
