chapter 31 : New Plans

(Gryffindor common room)

 "I was seriously planning to get mad at you by coming here but it would be a waste of time and I'm too lazy for that. I'd rather be glad you're alive and you have no idea what these people could have done to you. You just don't seem to understand one thing, just because I showed you the weapons you can fight with doesn't mean you'll know how to use them in a real fight. These guys are no joke and they've already been through a war, they have better combat experience than you. » Ron said sitting in front of the others.

 Harry: We're sorry, I'm sorry but if I had to do it again then I would do it again. Cedric and his father were in danger-(interrupted)

 Ron: That's why I refrained from lecturing you.

 Hermione: We can't go back...

 Ron: Nobody is talking about going backwards. We'll just have to increase your combat experience. Cedric has sworn to join us and Amos, his father, has joined the Order of the Phoenix. The headquarters of the order will now be my family's mansion, the enchantment of the Pura caelum that I have erected there making it one of the two safest places in the world.

 Neville: Can we get back there?

 Ron: You're going to spend the summer there, our parents have already made arrangements. By the way, Neville...your parents were almost avenged.

 Neville: You mean...Bellatrix, is she dead?

 Ron: No but her husband Rodolphus is dead, I killed him with his own spell when he cast it as a traitor on Sirius, if I hadn't intervened then he was going to perish, Bellatrix escaped and I could have killed her but I'm keeping her for you.

 "Thank you Ron...thank you..." He said lowering his head with wet eyes as Ginny came to comfort him.

 Ron: I wish you were the one to do it but you weren't ready yet. Your revenge should not be limited to Bellatrix, she was only their executioner but the instigator of all this was Voldeshit. What happened to your parents, Harry's parents and many other people must not happen again and we will put an end to it. Are you with me Neville?

 "Yes...I'm going to get stronger" Neville replied determinedly.

 Ron: It's the spirit. I won't always be there to protect Ginny, you're with her so it's your role now. Where is Luna?

 Harry:…

 (in the forbidden forest)

 Luna was feeding Thestrals when Ron appeared behind her.

 Luna: Are you still angry?

 Ron: Yes.

 Luna: I'm sorry, I just wanted to help.

 Ron: That's not why I'm angry, my dear. I'm not angry because you took these risks.

 Luna: Why then?

 Ron: I'm angry because for the first time in my life, I was terrified! Terrified of what could have happened to all of you but especially terrified of what could have happened to you. (Comes closer) Do you have any idea what I would be capable of if something happened to you? It won't just be one little villager who's on fire this time...I'll probably be lost.

 Luna: Losing myself is also what I thought every time I saw you unconscious in a bed, every day. For you at least it only lasted a moment before saving us but for me, I could only look at you and cry.

 Ron: Luna I-(interrupted)

 Luna: You only tasted what you put me through, Ron I never want to go through that again.

 "Never again my dear" He said getting closer before kissing her on the lips for a long time. The couple was young but strong, Ron swore that evening to make her the strongest witch in his eyes so that she would never be vulnerable; it was the most effective way to never lose her.

 He knew it was going to take time, a lot of time, but he trusted the natural talent of the girl he loved.

 The next day, Ron was taken with the others to Hagrid who looked for them and when they came to meet him, he sincerely thanked Ron who did not immediately understand why.

 Hagrid explained to him that Umbridge actually intended to banish him with the power of the Ministry and that without Ron and Dumbledore's plan, she certainly would have succeeded. Harry and the others remembered a detail...

 Harry: Hagrid, you should introduce him to Grawp! He and Luna haven't met him yet.

 Hermione: That's right, Ron was asleep and she didn't leave his bedside when you showed him to us.

 Ron: (Yawns) What is this story again?

 Luna: Grawp...! Is this a fantastic creature?!

 Hagrid: Oh yes, it's true! You should meet him, without you he would have remained completely alone. I'm sure he will like you.

 They went out to go towards the forbidden forest and Buckbeak came out of the woods to greet Ron who bowed towards him and The hippogriff immediately clicked his beak before rubbing his head on Ron who gave him some meat before leave with him following Hagrid.

 They came to a level in the forest among several large trees where a cut rope was lying there on the ground.

 Ron: I don't know what was there but it came loose.

 Hagrid: Oh no...GRAWP!

 They started to worry before a giant hand grabbed Luna and lifted her up.

 "Is that him Grawp?!" Luna asked almost emotionlessly smiling as everyone turned to watch the young giant lift Luna up.

 Hermione: No, he's doing it again.

 Ron stepped forward with his wand and the others were afraid of what he was going to do to him. He saw the giant looking at Luna he was holding, smiling like a child.

 Hagrid: Ron, Grawp is not bad. Don't hurt him...

 Ron: His eyes are too innocent to worry me and Luna herself doesn't seem afraid of him. Is that him Grawp?

 Hagrid: Yes, he's my little brother. My half-brother and he only has me…

 « Hey big guy! » Luna said stroking Grawp's large forehead who apparently loved and Ron looked at his girlfriend smiling slightly enjoying being in love with her even more.

 He moved closer before slowly starting to levitate higher and higher and Grawp looked at him with great curiosity.

 Ron rubbed his hands together before blowing inside and several birds of light came out from there to fly around Grawp who was amazed.

 Grawp looked back at Ron who snapped his fingers and a sandwich appeared in his hand.

 "Amplificatum" he said the formula and the sandwich became bigger and bigger before he gave it to Grawp who started eating it moving his feet like a child with an ice cream after dropping off Luna while Ron stroked her hair.

 Luna: You like him too, huh…?

 Ron: Aside from his size, he's just a kid and it's amazing how pure he is.

 "He seems to like you a lot, thank you both very much. I am his only family" Hagrid said wiping the tear from his eye.

 Ron: Do you allow Luna and I to come visit often? We could take care of him.

 Luna: Yes, I really would like to. As for a child…(blushes)

 Hagrid: Of course, yes please! Thank you both for your help!

 Luna: He deserves it...

 She and Ron looked at each other before smiling softly.

 Months have passed since then and the year ended with them all taking their OWL exams with Ron at the top of the results.

 The day after the end of year feast, Ron found himself in Dumbledore's office who had summoned him.

 Dumbledore: Hello Ronald…

 Ron: Professor...

 Dumbledore: We haven't really taken the time to discuss what happened at the Ministry. You easily stood up to the most powerful dark mage of his time at such a young age and the surprise was no small one for me. You have caused me to change several of my plans my young friend and once again I will need your help.

 Ron: About what? I will make my possible old man...

 Snape came out from one of the corners and Ron looked at him smiling, he had spotted him for a while.

 Dumbledore: You, Severus and I have many things we need to discuss. Do you know the story of the three brothers?

 Ron: Deathly Hallows? (realizes something…) YOU…! Were you the one who sent Harry the invisibility cloak? I have seen several Cloaks of this type and they were barely anything like a Disillusionment Charm, Harry's cloak makes it seem as if the existence of its wearer is erased. This cape...

 Dumbledore: Incredible power and exceptional observation skills. Young man, you are truly a special case.

 Snape: He apparently knows...

 Ron: The wand you wield belonged to Grindelwald before you, didn't it? According to the chronicles of the time, you took it from him after your duel and it is supposed to be made of a certain wood, elderberry. Is this the wand of legend?

 Snape: Where the hell did you learn all that, Weasley?

 Ron: You don't even know how many manuscripts you can find on the black market, but they are the least traded products there.

 Dumbledore: Since you seem to know about the Hallows or at least two of them, let me ask you if you know anything about objects called Horcruxes. We suspect Voldemort of having made this the secret of his immortality.

 "Look who's asking for my help with some very ancient dark magic..." Ron said in amusement as a mischievous smile played on his lips.

 They stayed talking and despite Snape's reluctance, Dumbledore told Ron all about their cooperation and he learned a lot of things, some of which shocked him and others more so before they discussed future plans.

 The next day, Ron, Luna, his brothers and the rest of the team with Neville were in his head boy's VIP car, all going in the same direction and the others enjoyed the luxury in the car for that Ron was asleep with his head resting on Luna's legs.

 Summer had come and with it, a hellish training course for the small group because he was determined to make them particularly formidable wizards in combat and a truly elite force.
