Snape left Dumbledore's office with a sense of unease in his mind. He couldn't help but think about Felix and how little they knew about his background. He walked through the dark and quiet hallways of Hogwarts, lost in his own thoughts.
As he passed by portraits of previous headmasters and headmistresses, he couldn't help but wonder what Felix's true intentions were. He knew Dumbledore trusted the boy, but Snape couldn't shake off the feeling that something was off.
He remembered the first time he met Felix and how he had been able to cast spells without a wand. It was an ability that Snape had only read about in books, and it was rare to find someone who could perform magic without the aid of a wand. He wondered if this was related to Felix's mysterious past.
"Maybe, maybe his mind was cleared via the obliviate spell so that we would learn nothing about him."
Snape couldn't help but feel a bit jealous of the attention that Felix was receiving from Dumbledore. He had been at Hogwarts for years, and yet the headmaster seemed to trust a first-year student more than him.
"No, that is not true."
Snape shook his head.
He pushed these thoughts aside and focused on his work, but his mind kept drifting back to Felix.
As he entered his office, he sat down at his desk and took out a piece of parchment. He started to write down all the things he knew about Felix, which wasn't much. He knew he was a first-year student, he was able to perform magic without a wand, and he had no known family. Snape felt frustrated with this lack of information, and he knew he needed to find out more about Felix.
"There's nothing normal about this guy."
He made a mental note to keep a closer eye on Felix and to report any suspicious behavior to Dumbledore. He knew that the safety of the students at Hogwarts was paramount, and he wasn't going to let his personal feelings get in the way of that.
"In the end, all things lie with Dumbledore himself. What he wants is the only thing that matters. At least in Hogwarts,"
Snape thought as he kept looking a little bit blank in his eyes.
Snape worked on his research for the rest of the evening, but his mind kept drifting back to Felix. He couldn't shake off the feeling that something was off about the boy, and he knew he needed to get to the bottom of it.
Snape leaned back in his chair, the soft glow of candlelight casting deep shadows across his face. He had been lost in thought for some time, his mind consumed with thoughts of Felix. Despite Dumbledore's assurances that he had found nothing about the young wizard's past, Snape remained unconvinced. There was something about Felix that bothered him, something that nagged at the back of his mind like a persistent itch.
"He will show his true colors with time," he muttered to himself, the words slipping out almost unconsciously. Snape knew that he needed to keep a close eye on Felix, watch him carefully, and wait for him to slip up. He had a feeling that it was only a matter of time before the truth about Felix was revealed.
