Bonk.

Reminder.

Don't let Ulrich throw things ever again.

Almost had to go swimming in the ashes of the soldiers.

I swore I even heard him laughing as he started to walk away. Like he planned for it to happen. Damn old man. I could have drowned in ashes.

But I just shook my head with a sigh as I ignored Ulrich's laughing.

"Well it seems as if Siegbald is well informed." I smiled slightly as I looked at the robe, and a shovel in my hands.

The Scorched Earth Robe was a slightly darker color than that of the soil but still looked decent. It even came with a hood and pockets!

But at the moment I didn't put the robe on yet as I put it in my Inventory as my attention was on something else.

The thing I was interested in was the Black Iron Wood Steel Shovel. Even though it had a very heavy sounding name, it was surprisingly light. I even tested how sharp the blade was against a very thick tree.

It was a very clean cut. Went through the tree like it would through soil.

"Wow!"

I'm pretty sure I even saw Ulrich's pet Ratmongoose was even in shock. But then it snorted with a human-like smirk as it started laughing.

"What are you laughing at… whatever you call yourself? That was an amazing strike, I doubt you-!"

I couldn't finish as the Ratmongoose walked up to a similar tree casually swiped and destroyed the entire middle section of the tree. Then it walked up to the tree it broke, tore off a chunk of the bark, and tossed it over.

I was a little confused as to what was happening, but when I looked at the part of the tree it tore off, I understood why it was laughing.

"Damn tree was rotten. Still, I normally wouldn't have been able to accomplish something like that before." I said as I looked at Ulrich's pet. "You couldn't have at least let me have that."

The Ratmongoose didn't even turn around as it continued to walk away with a little pep in its step like it owned the place as it continued along.

I could only shake my head as I put the Black Iron Wood Steel Shovel in my inventory, pulled the Scorched Earth Robe, and put it on. I could even feel the increase in my power as well as the warmth the robe provided.

After everything seemed to settle down I wanted to head to the Shack's library in order to gather as much information that I could possibly get. Hopefully Ulrich had something for when it came to magic, herbology, or anything that could help me increase my power.

But yet it seemed as if someone else had another plan in mind as I was nearing the entrance to the Shack. The priest of the Blue Sky was heading in my direction with a full and proud looking smile on his face as he yelled out for me to stop.

He seemed to also be followed by another member of his cult, but he seemed to be of the warrior profession or at least from the look of it a squire.

Didn't even have a helmet or armor really. Just a basic set of leather armor, sword, and a half broken buckler. He didn't even have metal boots, greaves, or anything to make him look intimidating.

I just sighed as I pulled out my shovel from my inventory, leaned on it, and waited for them to get close with the most welcoming smile I could produce as I welcomed them.

"Welcome priest of the Blue Sky and his squire, how do you do? Are you here to pick out a plot of land for when you die or are you here to pick one out for someone you know? I got some great spots to choose from." I said with a wave of my hand.

The priest seemed to be stunned as he didn't expect my question, but started to smile as the squire continued to walk past the smiling priest as he drew his sword and pointed it at me with a look of disgust on his face.

"Wipe that smile off your face and get on your knees and beg for forgiveness, Grave Digger!" The squire yelled out trying to make himself look intimidating as his spit flew. "You've committed a grave sin for insulting the Temple of the Blue Sky and her priest! You'll only get this one opportunity to be forgiven, otherwise I fear my sword might pierce your throat if you don't."

I just continued to smile as I looked at the young squire and remembered when someone from the Otherworld I was a part of did the same thing but with a modern weapon.

"Well for one the smile will remain as it's alway best to greet both ally and enemy with a smile. Two, the last time I was on my knees was so that I could give your mother the time of her life. Three, I don't think I've committed a sin by insulting your Cult of the Blue Sky as I'm calling it what it is." I continued to smile as the look of anger and rage increased in both the priest and the squire.

"And if you really wanted to be intimidating you wouldn't have drawn your sword while holding it like you're currently doing as you'll only tire yourself out in the end."

The look in the squire eyes changed after I finished as he broke contact with me as he focused on his sword arm to see that it was visibly shaking. He even put his sword down to stop the shaking and readjust it, but before he was able to I attacked him with the only skill that I was able to use.

'Bonk!'

I continued to smile at the squire as I lifted my shovel and struck his head with the Iron Wood shaft of my shovel.

The priest even tried to say something as he shouted out, but just as the words were leaving his mouth.

The Iron Wood shaft of my shovel Bonked the squire in his head!

And it was a bonk. As the center of the squire's head caved in on itself with a nasty crunch, his eyes popped out of his head slightly as blood sprayed from his broken skull.

He even still seemed to be alive slightly as he continued to stand on his own two feet as he put on a broken smile.

Only to spit out a good amount of blood as well as part of his own tongue as he slowly fell backwards with a thud.

The priest of the Blue Sky was stunned as he was staring at the dead squire that was just breathing just two seconds ago.

"Huh, I didn't think that would kill him. Or was he just that weak?" I said with a look of confusion as I looked at the priest. "Hey, was he just that weak? Or did you just pull some rando off the street?"

The priest didn't seem to hear me as he continued to stare at the corpse of the squire.

"Hey earth to the priest! Are you there! Hello!" I called out loudly as the priest seemed to snap in my direction with wide fear filled eyes. "Ah, good. Started to worry about you for a second."

I was about to say something else but stopped as I noticed the priest slowly raising his hand as a low white-blue light started to form.

I didn't hesitate as I dodged to the left only to hear a kind and elderly voice and a soft choking noise.

"Now, now. We don't want that now, do we priest? You know magic like that can only be used on the Dead. I mean I'll give props to my inheritor for dodging right away, but to fall for such a cheap trick I'll only forgive you once. Oh, and nice bonk by the way."

I kissed my teeth as I looked over to see that Ulrich standing next to me with the priest of the Blue Sky in the air turning blue as an invisible hand was slowly crushing his throat.

"How was I supposed to know that was a faint. I haven't even had the chance to really study magic nor this Otherworld. And when will I be able to do stuff like that?" I asked as I pointed to the priest's throat.

"Oh, that. Hopefully soon. Just need to reach Rank: Human - 2. And for magic I'll need to test what element you're closest to. Should have at least three main, two sub, and one of your personal choice." Ulrich said with an elderly smile as the sound of the priest's neck snapped like a twig.
