Cult of the Blue Sky Priest.

The rest of the night after the burial of the soldiers was long and filled with many drinks.

I wasn't able to deny Siegbald his generous offer of liquor as he continued to offer multiple cups throughout the cool summer night.

He seemed to be very interested in how I was able to increase my power as it was something he had never seen before. Even going as far as to ask if others were able to do the same.

But it seemed as luck was on my side as I seemed to be the only one capable of increasing my power like this for the time being I'm pretty sure. And besides one would have to bury at least 5,000 at a minimum in order to even get one stat increase.

But from what I was able to gather from the sharing of drinks between Siegbald, was that bodies would be the one thing that I would have to worry about the least, as it seemed that bodies seemed to be the one thing that this Otherworld seemed to never run out of.

Plus it seemed that Siegbald was surprised that I was able to learn a skill from one of the many buried. But when I told him what the skill happened to be… he laughed his ass off.

But after he had his laugh the look on his face changed as he said that I should never share this information with anyone else. As if anyone else were to find out, they would do anything in their power to either try to steal that ability or find a way to make me their skill slave. Or even worse their Guardian for their childish brats.

We even finished the whole cask of liquor throughout the night. Siegbald even offered to give me a manual that his own personal soldiers train with with a mysterious smile. But I didn't seem to notice as I didn't hesitate to take the manual.

But when I gave it a quick look over my face started to pale as the amount of information and craziness that was in it boggled, the mind as well as made Siegbald smirk.

The remainder of the night was a blur, but I do remember Siegbald saying that he would come by again whenever he had time or did he say that he had something special for me in a couple of weeks. I mean I did say that the rest of the night started to blur.

I felt something kick me in the ribs as I started to stir with a groan.

"Hey, are you dead?"

"..."

"No, seriously are you dead? Because since I made you my Inheritor you'll need to deal with the priests of the Blue Sky who like to harass me from time to time." Ulrich said as he kicked me in the ribs again.

"Please let me rest for a little longer and don't kick me in the ribs Ulrich." I groaned out as I felt the contents of my stomach trying to leave. "Uh, remind me that I shouldn't drink with Siegbald like that again."

I got into a sitting position as Ulrich was looking over at the two mass graves that were filled with the ashes of the soldiers.

"Don't drink like that with Siegbald again, Bastion." Ulrich said in a light manner. "So what do you plan to tell the priest of the Blue Sky about this because he'll definitely ask?"

"Ha, ha. Very funny Ulrich. But no, seriously." I said as I rubbed my temples. "Why would they even bother to ask? It's just a bunch of ash. Why would that even concern them? Plus shouldn't they mind their own business?"

Ulrich started to laugh a little as he looked over. "Because for the longest time they seemed to have found enjoyment in torturing an old man. And besides they'll try to take it because of their so-called protection or tax benefit."

"Over my dead body they will." I said with slight anger as I looked at the mass graves. "I mean if they want to be a part of the pile then they are more than welcome to. But if they want to test me then they will find my shovel in their throat."

Ulrich seemed to smile as a semi familiar voice sounded out from behind us.

"So you wish to go against us then, inheritor of Keeper. Are you sure you want to do that?"

The voice sounded in an arrogant and prideful voice that made one wish to bang their head against a wall.

Ulrich didn't even turn around as it looked like he was playing the 'I'm an old man card' as he continued to look at the mass graves.

"Against the Cult of the Blue Sky no. But against you, yeah." I said as I slowly stood to my feet to face the priest of the Blue Sky. "I mean, especially if you plan on disturbing the rest of those that finally received it."

It was the same priest of the Blue Sky that called me a lowly undead scum the first time he saw me. He was even wearing an updated robe. It was still a very bright white, but there was an additional bright blue stripe that was next to the original one.

His face took on the form of disgust like he just swallowed a bug as he turned his face up.

Ulrich even started to laugh which made the priest of the Blue Sky's face twist into abject horror.

"If I were you priest I'd find a different approach. My inheritor isn't like me as he takes his job and role quite seriously." Ulrich continued to laugh which made the priest take a couple steps back. "Plus just because it seemed your rank increased in your cult doesn't mean you're stronger."

The priest of the Blue Sky didn't seem to like Ulrich's jab as he took another step back while shouting.

"Yo-you wat-watch your tongue Keeper! I could easily have everything taken from you if I really wanted to! And what do you mean he takes his job seriously! It's just a bunch of useless dead bodies of people who will…"

The priest continued his rant as he took multiple steps back as he pointed at both Ulrich and I.

The priest only stopped after three more back steps as he pointed at me.

"And you!! You'll do well to give us whatever we ask for, as we could easily make your life a living hell! Do you honestly think that just because you're Keepers inheritor allows you the right to call us a cult and get away with it you filthy lowly scum!!"

I could only rub my temples with a pain filled expression as the priest's continuous yelling continued to worsen my headache. I even wish'd Ulrich wouldn't have kicked me awake for something as moronic as what is happening.

"Can you please stop screaming, it's only making my headache worse. I mean you're even taking steps back which makes you look even more pathetic. And I'm pretty sure that even if I wasn't Ulrich's inheritor I would've never allowed you to disturb those I have laid to rest." I said bluntly as I looked at the now confused looking priest. "And what's wrong with calling you a cult, a cult."

The priest seemed to be stunned as he wasn't able to respond as his mouth continued to open and close continuously.

"So go back to your place, tell your head priest or whatever you call them, to leave me alone and find someone else to bother." I sighed as I started to wave the priest off. "And I'll let you know now, so that way you won't say I attacked you unprovoked."

I stopped waving the priest off as my voice turned serious.

"If you ever disturb those I have laid to rest, I'll kill you."

The priest seemed to want to respond, but was unable to as Ulrich beat him to the punch.

"Like I said earlier, priest, I would listen to what my inheritor said." Ulrich said as he started to walk towards the red faced and shaking priest. " Go and tell your Sky Elder what was spoken about here as I'll even give you a word of warning for your Sky Elder."

The area around Ulrich started to turn heavy and vile, even worse than the first time he did it. Even the tone of his voice changed as it made one's skin crawl as he slowly placed his hand onto the priest's shoulder.

"I'm not dead yet."

The priests seemed to age fifteen years as Ulrich removed his hand from his shoulder as he didn't even nod or agree with Ulrich as he quickly sped off running, leaving a trail of dust behind him.

Ulrich and I both started laughing as the priest continued to get smaller and smaller in the distance.

We both continued to laugh for a little while longer before Ulrich started to walk away while rubbing his eye.

"Ah, that was a very entertaining start to the afternoon. But you'll need to be ready for the Cult of the Blue Sky's retaliation Bastion. They'll underestimate you in the beginning as they'll only send their weakest at first but then it'll only proceed to get harder down the line."

"Yeah I don't doubt that." I said as I shook my head. "You said that Siegbald left me two Rare Items before, where did you put them?"

"I figured you would ask for them sooner." Ulrich answered as continued to walk away as he pulled out two items from the air and tossed them over.
