Abyssal magic

It has been a day since the incident with orcs. Not much happened.

Claude gave the sandalwood-like wooden planks to Ares. To Claude's surprise no one really cared about the money given to them as the rumour about Claude's heroic deeds spread in the village. Still because of Claude's persistence of wanting to give at least some amount of money to the villagers Ares gave in. Every family in the village received 1 silver emperion while every soldier received 2 silver emperions. Everyone now looked at Claude like a benevolent angel from his deed.

They didn't knew that the reason why Claude wanted to give them the money was to show that the money coming from the sandal wood like planks didn't completely go in his family's income but Claude didn't knew one thing that the laws regarding income and other related things was not as strict as his past world. As long as someone didn't become so greedy as to extort the money from his family.

Claude spended yesterday reading my books he got from the Orcs.

The artifact he got from the Orcs was a Katana. Yes a single edged sword which in this world is mostly used by ogres. The reason why Claude took this artifact was because it was created by vampires and one of the three books were related to it.

The reason why Claude knew that the artifact was built by a vampire was because it was built a millennium years ago. According to Claude most of the ancient artifacts were created carrying the traits of the specific race. This Katana is also created by a specific race and that specific race is vampires.

The reason why this Katana was created by vampires was due to only one single trait. Blood binding, this is a spell specifically created by vampires. It is a spell which can be used as both a casting spell as well as enchantment. It only does a simple thing but during ancient times this enchantment was something everyone wanted. This enchantment puts a weapon in a direct contract with its owner. As long as the owner keeps feeding it a drop of blood from time to time, the artifact will only acknowledge the one who's blood he has eaten. This prevented the artifact from being used by anyone except its true owner who fed it his blood.

But the real reason why Claude chose this Katana was a bit different. This Katana changes and adapts to its new user. It in fact might have the same enchantment as the wooden sword but unlike the wooden sword which needs to be changed manually this sword directly adapts to its user.

Except for that the other reason why he chose this Katana was due to a book which carried certain Katana techniques which can be learnt after reaching the master rank to king rank. Such treasure was invaluable but according to the Orcs using a Katana is taboo in every and any orc tribe as this is the weapon used by their arch rivals ogres.

Another book from the three books was also a rank related to book. It taught the way to effectively and efficiently use Aura and some other things which are common in every Aura. Claude gave that book to Eren as he already had his Katana techniques book.

The last book was the most special at least according to Claude as it taught the way to use Abyss magic. Claude didn't understand why this book belonged to orcs but orcs said that they looted this book from a tarven. Claude didn't pry further in the matter as he already got the book.

' Abyssal magic is not an element as it is not made through matter. It is more like energy. According to the book the Abyssal element is converted from mana. When mana loses its creation and purity and merges alongside the casters, an Abyssal element is formed.' Claude continued.

' Normal beings can't use Abyssal magic to its true potential as creating mana without any creation and purity is simple but adding your emotions which are completely inclined with Abyssal magic is hard. One race has mastered the Abyssal magic to its true potential and are still improving it and they are Demons.'

' The spells of Abyssal magic are completely opposite to the holy magic. That's why you need a special talent of positive emotions for Holy magic while you need special talent for Abyssal magic because emotions can't be controlled. Usually when such talent is born he/she will choose to completely give themselves to Abyssal magic and Holy magic. That's why these people are also referred to as insanes.'

' The biggest reason why Abyssal magic is not used by anyone is because you can't completely master it without taking the help of the Demon race. Only a few people were able to even have enough negative emotions to talk with a demon let alone negotiate with them.'

' Someone who has talent for both Abyssal magic and Holy magic is really rare but they don't matter much because you can't stay neutral and you have to stick to a single side.'

Claude didn't understand whether this book was regarding magic or a psychological book related to different emotions but that is the reason why most people don't like Abyssal magic. You can consider your life set after just being a talented magic user, who will want to risk their good lives by trying to learn magic which can affect your psychology and mind. That will be as plain as suicide.

But somehow Claude found the Abyssal element and Holy element infatuating. Every magic Claude had tried till this day was relevant to something in his past world which was called science. But these two elements are simply outside the reach of Science as well, at least according to Claude.

" Claude come down for lunch !!" Claude heard Eren shouting from the first floor.
