Bedroom

Ally looked around the room with an annoyed look seemingly displeased with her interior designing at the age of eleven. She even rubbed her eyes hoping the terrible sight would disappear, but it didn't once she looked back up.

She then lightly looked at her shoulder seeing her friend's mouth agape lost for words. Tiera seemed stunned and for the first time, unable to speak her mind.

It took a moment before the awkward silence passed and the little fairy gained back her thoughts.

"This is worse than the hospital…" Muttered Tiera who flew around inspecting the whole room which was bright red and green. The fairy's eyes were wide as her face seemed horrified with the design. "What on the planet was he thinking when your uncle let you design this room?! I knew you were a terrible painter, but this is absolutely awful Ally! I would bet my life this is the reason you were sent to live with all the crazies!"

"I really liked Christmas time." Ally sighed as she fell on her bed. "It was still enjoyable after my parents died! And now I'm going to die of embarrassment! How am I going to interact with people when this is my bedroom? Right now I have to prove to miss Lawrence that I'm normal!"

"Oh stop whining!" Tierra said as she approached the wall not wanting to listen to anymore complaints. "This is an easy fix!"

The fairy then touched the wall with her small hand as the color slowly turned a soft gold all around which made Ally look around with a much happier face.

"Anything else you'd like?" Tiera asked tilting her head. She had a few magical abilities and would often try to redecorate the room at the asylum which Alicia couldn't allow. Even though it would make the atmosphere better, it would raise too many questions and she couldn't afford missing the opportunity of leaving that terrible place.

But now she could take full advantage of her little friend's abilities which was exciting as well as terrifying.

"Hmmm." Ally thought tapping her chin appearing to be debating with herself. "Let's make it sparkle a bit. Like my hair." She said with a grin as her fairy friend touched the wall once more.

It wasn't anything big and was barely noticeable, yet the room had a soft appearance appearing more elegant as certain areas would catch one's eyes. She hugged herself as she looked around seeing the painted walls feeling like she could explode with excitement.

All she had was a bed with a sage green covering and it seemed to match the room perfectly making her feel more like herself.

"It's perfect!" She said beaming toward Tiera.

"Yes." Tiera said confidently admiring her own work. "I really am talented. Aren't I?"

Alicia rolled her eyes smiling a bit as she approached her flying friend who continued to go around the room looking at the bare minimum it contained.

Other then a sage green dresser, Alicia only had two pictures she showed making the room rather plain.

One was of her with her uncle while the other was her parents.

"Does your uncle believe your dad is responsible for the murder?" Tiera asked while she looked intently at the picture of Alicia's parents. She noticed how both of them had light brown hair with warm smiles.

"Yes." Ally said in a distant tone frowning at the fact that no one knew the truth. "He made it look very convincing that my dad could kill my mother."

Tiera turned around in the air giving her friend a comforting look. "Not many have ever encountered the shadow. I'm surprised he left you alive."

"So you've said." Ally said taking a step toward her friend. "Yet you still won't talk to me about what you know concerning him."

Tiera's face flushed red as she shook her head refusing to play around with the subject. "My kind are forbidden to speak of him! I've told you! His own name is said to bring us bad luck!"

Ally sighed knowing she had just made the little creature flustered and guilt washed over her.

"But, you would know more than any of us since you spent time with him…and for some reason he let you live."

Alicia didn't need to respond knowing the fairy spoke the truth. It was something she had pondered for years on why she survived his bloodlust that terrible night.

"I don't remember everything and because of all this therapy, I'm not sure what is the correct version of the story."

Tiera sighed returning to the shoulder of her friend. "You're safe and that's all that matters."

The fairy then hugged the neck of the human which made the moment endearing. Alicia smiled before she thought about another important thing she needed to fix immediately.

She quickly ran to her closet door opening it to see clothes that were rather too small to fit her frame. She walked forward pulling out a top that once fit before she became well endowed.

"Were you a fairy once too?" Tiera teased only making the human scowl.

"Shut up…" Alicia mumbled as the little fairy snickered in her ear.
