Girls kept glancing toward the boy who leaned against the wall of the mall. He was tall with a well defined body and wore a leather jacket covering his tattoos that he somehow got without his mother's knowledge.
His black silky hair somewhat fell right before his shiny brown eyes and he often used his hands to brush the luscious locks to the side of his face which often caught others attention from afar. He folded his arms not smiling as he had already become annoyed with the amount of time he wasted as his friends debated on what their next adventure would be. They stood laughing to one another as the black hair boy seemed more to himself.
He and his buddies had gotten together earlier and now didn't have anymore plans for the evening which brought him to this point where all his usual fan girls tried to gain his attention.
He had a bored expression barely sparing any girl a glance as they batted their eyelashes in his direction. But the flirting was in vain since he was disinterested in any of them.
"Axel?" A sultry voice asked making the dark hair boy turn his eyes to a red head walking in his direction. "I haven't heard back from you for a couple days." She said giving him a seductive look standing close to his figure.
There was a taller curvy girl who was still somewhat shorter than the dark haired boy. He looked at her making her confidence spike since she thought he was checking her out.
"Who are you?" He asked harshly making the red head frown. She then tried to laugh off his comment hoping no one heard.
"That's not funny Axel." She gritted through her teeth noticing how his friends were snickering. "After our night together, I at least deserve a little respect."
She then sighed leaning on close. "What we have is special and I don't want you to pretend it isn't."
"Get lost." He replied pushing himself off the wall walking away leaving the girl flabbergasted. However, he didn't seem too concerned over her well being and felt repulsed at her close contact.
"Axel please! I'm not trying to annoy you. If we go somewhere private, I'm sure you will be happy." She said in a high pitched voice not wanting to upset him. She had a single moment with him and losing it was the worst possible outcome since she had been in love with him as long as she could remember.
But the mysterious boy rolled his eyes not understanding how she thought their mere hookup was anything more than what it was. He didn't care for the clingy girl and wished to be left alone instantly regretting ever touching her.
"Hey! Where you going?" One of his buddies asked only to see his distant friend shrug without responding.
The others in the group looked at one another sensing that Axel needed his space which they gladly gave. They knew their friend well.
His cold indifferent attitude was normal and quite exciting making many drawn to him, but Axel wasn't one who enjoyed many and decided he would rather be on his own for the rest of the evening then trying to avoid the annoying attempts of clingy girls.
As he exited the mall, he reached in his pocket pulling out a light with a cigarette. But before he lit it, he paused thinking to himself. He held it before him like he was having some kind of internal debate.
"Those things will kill you."
Axel turned his attention to a large built man who looked somewhat similar to his own features. He wasn't smiling, yet he stood tall and in his uniform which seemed to demand respect.
"Can I help you with something officer?" Axel asked in a sarcastic tone making the other scowl.
"If I'm correct," said the officer who walked slowly toward Axel, "you're not eighteen until tomorrow."
"Arrest me then." Axel said indifferently lighting the cigarette before inhaling and exhaling.
"Yeah! And make mom mad?!" The officer chuckled shaking his head. "Honestly Axel, this needs to stop. You could get addicted and if it were any other officer, you could face a serious punishment."
Axel ignored his brother looking out toward the parking lot seemingly lost in his own thoughts.
"You had it different growing up." Axel finally said staring into the officers brown eyes. "You and I have different experiences. So I suggest you stop trying to be my friend."
The brother sighed loudly before looking away from Axel with a deep frown forming.
"I'm always going to be here for you. Even when you act like this. We're family."
Axel took another breath of his cigarette before throwing it to the ground smashing it with his foot. He didn't even look toward his brother as he put his hands in his pockets walking away seemingly wanting to be alone.
"I don't have a family." He mumbled as he continued on his way. But he surprisingly entered the mall once again wanting to rather be with his friends than his annoying older brother.
