Chapter 7:Demonic Sect

Min Joon's eyes were closed, his hands and legs bound by something tight, unyielding. The last thing he remembered was Jin Seok shouting to the disciples of the sect to draw their swords, his face panic-stricken as he looked out at the approaching threat. Then, everything went black.

Now, Min Joon could only hear—faint sounds of movement, of someone speaking. It took a while before he realized it was Jin Seok's voice, strained, trying to get out The noises suggested that Jin Seok, too, was bound. Panic rose in Min Joon's chest, but then another voice broke through the tension—a loud, maddening voice.

"BLOOD GOD! BLOOD GOD, PLEASE BLESS ME WITH POWER!" The lunatic's cry echoed in the air, a tone so wild and unhinged that it sent a chill down Min Joon's spine.

The name struck a memory. The Blood God. He had heard that name before—back in the village while listening the people talking. It was the name of the leader of the Demon Sect. As the lunatic's shouts echoed around him, the pungent smell of blood filled the air.

Minutes passed, and the voices grew fainter, but then a new voice spoke—one that sent a shiver of dread through Min Joon. "Why are you still keeping these brats alive?" The question was cold, void of any empathy.

A deep shudder ran through Min Joon. He couldn't help but feel the looming presence of death, so close he could taste it in the air. But then the lunatic spoke again, his words cutting through the tense silence. "It's useless to explain to people like you. Just insert your Demonic IQ into the brat with black hair."

Min Joon felt a brief moment of relief hearing that they weren't after him, but then he despised himself for feeling such relief. The disgust of the situation settled heavily in his chest.

He then felt something, a strange sensation—something like blood. He couldn't tell what it was exactly, but it made him feel worse, like something foul was in the air. Before he could gather his thoughts, he heard the sound of a man's body dropping to the ground. The lunatic laughed incessantly, a maniacal sound that pierced through the tension.

Then, Min Joon heard the voice of the man waking up again, groggy but confused. "WHAT HAPPENED TO ME? HOW DID THIS KID DRAIN ALMOST ALL OF MY IQ?"

The lunatic's voice was more subdued, but his answer sent a chill down Min Joon's spine. "I don't know, but I understand. This kid is special he already killed someone like that, but ım not sure ıf he awere of this or not."

The Iron Will Sect's Side

From the side of the Iron Will Sect, the voices of the enemy filtered through. The useless grunt—a man who had once been part of the Demon Sect—spoke nonchalantly, indifferent to the crimes he and his comrades had committed. "The Demon Sect is here. They've ordered us to kill, steal, and do whatever we want…"

Lee Kang stood, his hand gripping the hilt of his sword tightly. The words made his blood boil. He could feel his anger rising, a deep disgust welling up inside him. This man spoke as though the atrocities he'd committed meant nothing, his voice empty of remorse. The cold indifference with which he accepted his own crimes sickened Lee Kang to his core.

His grip on the sword tightened even more, and he pulled it halfway from its sheath, his anger barely contained. However, before he could act, Leader Yang's calm voice intervened. "Is there any sign of hostages?"

The man, unaware of the impending danger, answered with a shrug, his voice dripping with apathy. "Just two brats. I don't know why he let them out… please, spare me."

Leader Yang, with a steady gaze, nodded once in acknowledgment, then turned to So Hyeon. Without saying a word, Lee Kang's sword flashed, and the man's head tumbled to the ground. The brutal efficiency of the action left little room for thought or hesitation.

Leader Yang looked at the village, his expression clearly shows he needa to be careful. He turned to So Hyeon.

"Can you use your eyes to pinpoint the exact location of the kids and the others?" he asked, his voice calm, but carrying an undercurrent of urgency.

So Hyeon nodded, the weight of her responsibility settling upon her. It would be easy to find Min Joon, especially with his intense amount of pure IQ. She'd already understood why they'd taken him—his IQ was exceptional. But Jin Seok... why had they taken him instead of just killing him like the rest of the victims? The question gnawed at her, but she quickly pushed it aside.

She focused her thoughts on the task at hand. Her eyes were special, thanks to the durability and sensitivity that came with them. They allowed her to perceive things others couldn't, but she couldnt not use it 7/24 since its tires her out and drains her.But If Someone Used IQ On their eyes they either cause their eyes to explode or enhance their vision beyond normal limits. But with her special own eyes she could spot the faintest traces of IQ, even through walls.

She closed her eyes for a brief moment, the power of her eyes activating. The world around her seemed to pulse with energy. She felt the hum of IQ signatures, each one a distinct presence. Her eyes flicked open as she pinpointed the locations.

"There are 43 people," So Hyeon said, her voice steady, but her brows furrowed in concentration.

"One of them has an intense fire-like IQ and next to him, I see one frail, water-like IQ . That means they are still alive both Min Joon and Jin Seok."

Leader Yang nodded, taking in the information. "What about the others?" he asked.

"The rest have some kind of black IQ one of them especially was stronger," So Hyeon replied, her tone hardening. "That means they're Demonic Martial Artists most of them at the Demonic Initiate level and one is a Demonic Master."

Leader Yang turned to Lee Kang, relaying the information in concise terms. The mission had now shifted—everything had just become more urgent. They couldn't waste any time."We start now," Leader Yang commanded.

With the plan set in motion, Lee Kang's expression was grim, the weight of the task ahead evident in his eyes. He had never been one to waste time with unnecessary words. The lives of the hostages were at stake, and nothing—no matter how dangerous—would stop them from rescuing them.
