"Rimuru Tempest." The slime said as both Ray and Rimuru shook hands. "Good now to the explanation zo why I'm here."Ray began saying as he put his hands together and yelled, "You can come in Jay it's safe."
A while later a man with the same height and same face as Ray entered the room, he had thick red gloves on his hands, a red scarf hung around his neck, and a dark brown coat, covering his back chest and a large part of his legs and arms.
You could barely notice the black hair and three-day beard due to all the clothes he wore.
"This here is Jay, somebody that owns an object I desire, and he has a problem he can't solve alone, so I decided to help him out and in turn, I get that object I want."
"Greetings," Jay spoke with a hoarse voice that seemed unfamiliar, yet familiar to Ray.
"Hello" Rimuru shook hands once again.
"Now then let's discuss our problem, you," Ray spoke out throwing himself on his seat once again.
He pointed at Rimuru directly, "You, need to leave."
"Well, not literally, rather your effects on this world must leave." Jay continued in tune.
"What do you mean with that?" Rimuru asked with uncertainty, [Great Sage] wasn't able to help him in this situation, the two individuals in front of him seem to be masters in showing neither too much nor too little emotion.
"We are Observers, we're are the watchers of time, We are the rulers that decide what is right or wrong! We are the gods walking among men, deciding on the fate of the universes we serve! We are slaves to Time and we are the Kings of Space!" Jay said almost crazily.
"Wow that was out of nowhere, anyways just ignore him and hear me out, we are basically here to sort things out, you see there are two different possibilities of how the future will turn out.
1. You, Rimuru, ensure this world's safety, so to say, you are the chosen one.
2. You don't and some cunt will annihilate this universe because his parents died or something, I don't quite remember." Ray stooped speaking to let that info sink in and after a few moments, Rimuru asked.
"I'm the chosen one?"
"Don't let that get to your head, 99% of the time you are not, it's just that somebody changes the odds every time you are not the hero or die."
"That's suspicious but what has that to do with your deal," Rimuru asked, he already held a conversation of what Ray's words could mean with [Great Sage], but there were too many possibilities to be sure of anything, for all Rimuru knew this could be the scam of some weird god or unknown entity.
"Well I really don't care, you could fail to become a true hero, hell you could become a god and I still wouldn't care (in this dimension) but he doesn't."
Ray pointed at Jay behind him, "He cares because he gets directly affected by it, but he's not as strong as me and can't change the future to such a degree like me, and as I already said he's got something in his possession I really want."
'Well, I could take it by force, if Jay didn't hide it in one of the impossibilions of different timelines.'
"So you're here to ensure that the future changes for the better."
"Pretty much yeah."
'After talking with Jay for a bit I figured out roughly what to do, first off though, he told me about all the different changes to this Timeline he was born/reincarnated into.
First off, the biggest change that affected all other changes, Chloe or Chronoa was never mentioned in the history books and as Jay was reincarnated only 5 years prior to Rimuru's arrival he couldn't tell whether or not she really existed.
Of course, you could check if she existed by looking at Shizue but her story also changed slightly, instead of getting freed by the future/past Chloe, she broke out of confinement by herself, then she became a hero and afterward she met Rimuru.
After hearing that Jay knew he needed to establish control over this whole situation and avoid world destruction by Yuuki, (of course he survived even without Chloe, he's just that much of an unkillable cockroach.)
So my job will be the protection of Rimuru until he joins the demon lord council, that's about one year not that much of a Time stretch though for me.'
"How about we wake up your subordinates first?" Ray asked, his eyes glued on Jay who also took his seat on the table and made himself food. Ray also looked at Milim, seeing her eat such volumes wasn't that weird for him after countless Walpurgis'.
"Ah Yeah... You didn't kill them, did you?!?"
"Only the blue one." Anger seemed to well up inside Rimuru, "That was just a joke."
"Ha-Ha funny."
"Anyways I'm gonna sleep here till I find something funny to interact with." Ray dropped himself backward but just as his back touched the wooden floor a giant sleeping wolf appeared behind him.
The wolf had sharp triangular ears like those of cats and a bushy tail, it engulfed the room in an aura of uncertainty like it shouldn't be here and could disappear at any moment.
But what shocked Rimuru the most was [Great Sage]'s analysis, the wolf monster had roughly the same amount of magicules as him but shockingly, something told [Great Sage] that Rimuru would be unable to beat it under any circumstances, it was like this wolf was a level above Rimuru through some unknown means.

"So who's that?" A random goblin rider asked.
"We really shouldn't be here." Another Gobin said.
"Oh cmon he isn't even awake and our orders were just to watch over him." Gobuta neared the human sleeping against a black wall of fur.
"Hey, that looks dangerous." Gobuta was just about to draw a mustache on Ray's face but he suddenly fell to the ground hitting it face first.
"WHAT THE HECK?!" His face was smeared over with the piece of ink and the smearings looked like a monocle and a mustache.
"Hihihihijhihihihi" The other Goblin riders giggled as blood rushed into Gobuta's face and he took his wood club swinging it onto them.
Sadly for him though that swing missed its target too and Gobuta turned around due to the clubs' power.
But instead of seeing the sleeping man, he was faced with two black and white ethereal clock structures that looked just as ancient as they looked magnificent.
But somehow Gobuta noticed nothing of that instead he felt immense eldritch dread like his whole being was scanned by a god standing above all others.
Gobuta fell unconscious.
Ray cracked his neck as he watched the other goblin riders, a tiny amount of bloodlust was unconsciously released by him, "Where you~ the ones that~ disturbed my ~sleep." Ray tried to be as scary as possible with his voice, that went terribly wrong though, but the bloodlust did its job and all the other Goblin riders fell unconscious too.
Ray wasn't asleep, completely, he just used [Temporal Awareness] all the time and searched for any dangers Rimuru will encounter, if the slime decided on going outside the area he can observe with [Temporal Awareness] then he would need to wake up but that would require Rimuru to leave the country.
Ray stretched his arms out, hearing the satisfying pops he teleported outside Tempest city. He let Cynus enter his shadow in that split second it took for Ray to teleport.
Now Ray was sitting on a tree branch concealed by both illusion magic, Cynus shadow cloak, and some natural cover made out of leaves he plugged from the tree.
Ray watched as Carions subordinate smashed his fist into Rigurds face, obliterating some of the goblin king's flesh.
"EXPLODING FIST!"
'So he's somebody that screams out his technique's name... pathetic.'
Ray spotted Milim rushing off into that subordinate's direction aiming to incapacitate him.
"That's not a good idea it would cause Rimuru some problems, and perhaps he would take away your dinner." Ray stopped Time with [Greater Temporal Magic] and appeared besides Milim.
"He would never!" Milim pouted "He's my best friend after all!" she pointed at herself in suspended Time.
"That's right and Best friends wouldn't cause each other harm, even not indirectly."
"Mhmhmhmhmhm!" Milim thought really loud.
"You're right but what should I then, I mean that Guy guy over there almost killed the friendly Goblin mayor."
"How about you let me handle it, I know a method that doesn't involve physical contact."
"I guess that's ok then."
Ray let Time flow again and appeared in front of the three animal warriors of Carion, unluckily for them they thought that he just walked here and that they totally sensed him but chose to ignore him until he got into their view.
"What do you want ANT!? Are you just as disrespectful as this Guy over there and dare to speak with me the mightiest warrior of Carion sama."
"Please don't hurt me." Ray acted like a normal human and placed his hands above his head to show obedience.
"YOU DARE SPEAK TO ME?!?! LOWLY HUMAN" The beast-man screamed as he rushed in front of Ray to deliver a punch from upwards.
But just as that hit was about to connect the beast man's fist stopped, Ray's hand held it in place.
"So you would even kill the innocent?" Ray increased his grip strength and let out tons of Bloodlust.
"Bow." The bloodlust increased even more and all of the beastmen could see the sky turning blood red.
"Please Sir just let us go, our partner here is really stupid" One beastmen in the back said, clearly shocked by Ray's bloodlust.
"You are just as guilty as him for not stopping him earlier," Ray said as the ground began shaking and cracks appeared in it.
"Now Bow down." Ray released his full Bloodlust, even the concept of Time itself seemed to get damaged and tears welled up inside the beastmens eyes.
They lost all hope as Ray was dozens no hundreds of times stronger than even their master but they still stayed loyal to him even when this close to death.
Ray released the last bit of his bloodlust destroying time itself in this area for a fragment of an instant, then he disappeared into thin air, leaving Rimuru to deal with the rest.
The beastmen finally dropped to the ground, their eyes shaking uncontrollably and full of remorse, they couldn't care less for formalities right now, they only wanted to drift off into dream land.
